Has anyone noticed if rooms are assigned once cruise is paid in full or once guaranteed rooms are no longer available? Just curious if there is any logic in when they assign cabins or it really is just when the computer decided to get to work & get busy. :p

Switched to an Oceanview balcony guarantee (patiently waiting for cabin numbers:rolleyes:) and had a couple questions. I have heard that the higher you go on CP and BW balconies that you get more noise from the pool deck. Is this the case with Oceanview balconies too? What are your favorite ocean view balcony floors and why?

Thanks again, we were able to make contact with just ship & passenger name. Side note- you do have to pay w/credit card upfront $7.95 minute. You sure hope they connect you to the right cabin at those cost!

Is this possible? I do not know a cabin number just the ship they are sailing.

Does Royal still allow a switch to another room in the same category? And if you used a TA wouldn't they have to do that for you?

Do they seat you with others automatically? Are you able to get a table for 2 or 4 if you ask?

Thanks, I found it on Royal's site but surprised they would allow a 21 year old friend be responsible for a 20 year old friend in the cabin. I also was hoping that someone, who's college age kids, might have personal experience to share.

My daughter and friends are checking about a cruise for Spring break. Jrs in college but some are not 21 yet. No one would be 25. Would they qualify?

I know they combined the 12-14 and the 15-17 groups on a couple of our cruises. I believe that it is typical when they have smaller group sizes to do this. Hopefully that will be the case. One of the reasons that I enjoy cruising so much is I knew we had the best of both worlds, time with kids and when without kids, the kids & parents both had a blast!

No, not that I have noticed, but I don't do the Starbucks thing anyway. Not

much help there I am afraid. I have seen many Starbucks paper coffee cups

that just look like regular Starbucks. They may have them, so I will try to

be more observant today.

I have made my shows 2 hours after/before dinner. I plan on telling our waitstaff about all shows and skipping dessert on any show we want to arrive early, like diving show. My question is if we want to get dessert later where to go? Wind Jammer, Cafe Promenade?:p

Anyone have information on blackjack? Any machines, $/play Same with dealer tables $ amounts and are they single deck or more? Anything specific that a relatively new blackjack player should know? And I do not remember but any "coupons" for C&A members?

I believe that my cabin will be one deck higher than yours for my June cruise. looking forward to it! Is the bed by the balcony? Thanks for letting me get a peak beforehand, it can not get here soon enough!

Just a basic summary of the day...

Woke up at 6:30am

Hit the road around 7:45am

Had a 3 hour stop for lunch and to visit with some folks

Stopped along the Turnpike, very bad coffee from Dunkin Doughnuts (both brewed and cold brew)

Arrived at Homewood Suites Cape Canaveral around 4pm.

Went out for dinner around 6pm.

 

Back at hotel next to the fire pit typing this up.

 

Plan for tomorrow...

Breakfast at hotel

Take 9:45 shuttle to the port

Get on ship

???

I am wanting to get a personalized Congrats Grad sign for my son's cabin door. After reading these, thinking just personalized with Class of 2017/his name & not using one of his senior photos, like I originally thought. Do they open the halls at 1:00 like the other ships? I want it up when he gets to his room.

2 part question-I know when went on FOS out of Canaveral a few years ago, others recommended C&A guest using the doors all the way to the right, when facing the building. Is this still the case? I remember by passing a nice long line of other passengers and my family commenting on the great perk.

I seem to remember in Canaveral they separate C&A before security but no other C&A lines after security screening area. Has this changed at all?

Went the last summer with Pete Taylor Tours, had such a fun time that we are going back next summer! I have a lot of the blue hole featured on our cruise video on YouTube.
