I enjoy Celebrity for the food, the bars (many more than Princess), better entertainment and larger cabins especially the bathrooms.

It's been a long time since I cruised as a solo but right now DH is laid up with Achilles heel post surgery. He won;t be able to cruise for some time, thinking about cruising as a solo again. Recent experiences?

I had to cancel 45 days out, got 50% penalty and trying to claim with the rest on my credit card which has travel insurance. Check your credit card policy. Princess refunded me next day.

I never thought about the single supplement, that is very helpful! Doesn't pay to go solo, I guess I will just be the nurse at home.

I see I will lose 50 percent right now until Nov 20 and then 75 percent of the total paid. I might recoup from my credit card.
