Gosh we are a determined bunch.

Jacqui - yes cabanas and additional cabins and yes public space was lost!! We just got back from our 4th Noordam cruise - she is still a beautiful ship I spite of what hey have done. It's all done in the name of profit.

Roy - have a late dinner in the Lido - we want to see you waving. Do you have a flashlight so you can shine it on your face - it's getting dark!!

I am going to watch this sail away for sure - sounds like a 5 o'clock+ departure. Doesn't look good for the weather!,

A busy day in port!

Bon Voyage everyone. Deb and Rich - have a great cruise!!

We received our 100 day medallions on the Prinsendam last May - with an invitation to a fairly large gathering in the theatre. Pictures with the Captain and Hotel Manager were taken - and delivered to our cabin while we were on the cruise. It made us and others who were recognized feel special - if only for a short while. I think the way that the medals are handed out should be the same fleet wide.

Just off the Prinsendam on Saturday - the chest infections/colds/pnuemonia continued on. Several of our CC friends contacted it and were on meds. Apparently several passengers were taken off the ship with pnuemonia. There was a lot of sneezing and very raspy voices on board - hopefully it clears up. I did notice while on the plane on Monday while on our way to Iceland several passengers had face masks on - perhaps they are the smart ones - or sick ones?

On one of our cruises we will experience a signature suite. On our last cruise and the one coming up we booked signature suites only to get an upsell offer to a Neptune Suite that we couldn't pass up.

This might be a question that has been asked before about RIL tours - sorry if it's a duplicate. When booking the tour you are asked for a credit card # - is that only to reserve? I volunteerd to research Rome tours for others on the cruise - I certainly would not want to put out a large sum of money in advance of the actual tour. Thanks in advance for your help.

We were in a similar situation to a lot of you - I personally knew someone who got to the airport and was unable to board the airline because of the 6th month rule that some countries impose on visitors. I did not bother to contact the cruise line or our TA - we just went ahead and renewed - we were going to have to do it in February anyway - I certainly did not want to take any chances - the person I made reference to above ended up being out a lot of money - and no vacation!
