I hope that it will all work out for you.

We are waiting for our May 10 & 15 on Brilliance to cancel............maybe a 50/50 on Allure 8/15 & 22.........and we are still in "wait & see" mode on our Jewel 9/10 & 20 & 26 cruises from Boston to do Canada & New England. For us so far 2021 looks a lot like 2020 cruise wise!!!!!!!!!!!

Hugs from Mean Mary and me...............

I definitely need to look around for some late summer or fall 2021 options.  I hate seeing nothing in my cruise planner until 2022!!!  Thanks for the virtual hug and the same backatcha!

I am so sorry to see your TA cancelled - we have an Odyssey B2B for January 15 & 23, 2022 Caribbean itineraries, I wonder if they will be effected?? Maybe you can get a L&S for a TA in 2022????

It'll be interesting to see what they do with Odyssey in November.  It's very possible they're still considering their options.  I saw a news release saying the sailings from Haifa will go on sale Tuesday March 9.

  3. Woke up to learn my last 2021 booking is now gone, Odyssey's TA from Rome to Ft. Lauderdale.

    Dear Guest,

The past year has been challenging for all of us. Since our suspension in March 2020, we’ve spent countless hours hyper-focused on developing new protocols and procedures, scheduling new itineraries, and adjusting and evolving our plans. Our situation remains fluid, and there is still significant uncertainty surrounding resuming operations globally. But what we do know is that we are dedicated to our Royal Comeback and getting it right.

Odyssey of the Seas is our newest and latest flagship and we want to ensure her inaugural season takes place as best we can. With that said, instead of debuting in Rome this summer, Odyssey of the Seas will begin her inaugural season out of Israel - a country that leads the world with its progressive vaccine rollout program for COVID-19. As a result, Odyssey will welcome Israeli residents at its new homeport in Haifa from June to October 2021. Regrettably, this means your sailing has been cancelled.

Cool!  I am still bummed out on the Med loops/TA on Allure (plus the Presidents cruise) we lost last October/November.  Nervous about booking anything international until late next year.  Have rebooked Allure for Oct. 2022 out of Barcelona, and still waiting on release of TA coming back in Nov. as 3rd leg.

Yes, I was also excited for the b2b with Presidents cruise.  Even though I'd heard they could be crazy with crowds of Pinnacles, I was anxious to see for myself at least once and it seemed extra special as a longer TA instead of a Caribbean itinerary.

I am currently looking at the Quantum 13-night HNL/YVR sailing for April 26, 2023.  I have not sailed a Quantum Class ship before so forgive me if the answers to these questions have been covered previously.

    1) JS with larger balcony:  Has anyone booked one of these?  How does it work out that the smaller cabin is adjacent to and shares the small hallway with the JS? Is it a problem with noise, etc?

    2) What decks are considered the best for the regular JS with the smaller balconies? By best, I mean noise and proximity to a lot of the venues.

    Many thanks for your help!

I like 12 for easy access to the beautiful CL and just 2 floors from main deck with Coastal Kitchen, Windjammer, Solarium Bistro etc.

Color me unhappy....I just got off the phone with RCCL and tried to use cruise 2 FCC's to book both the 7/14 and 7/22/22 cruises, and was told I could not, as they had to be used by 4/30/22.   They would be more than happy to book the cruises, if I wanted to give them $450 deposit for each cruise.  Thanks,  but no.  They are already sitting on over $5K of my money.  😡

I'm not guaranteeing success, but if I were in your shoes, I would book a couple of cruises which sail prior to the 4/30/22 deadline and book a nonrefundable fare to get the FCC's applied.  That would be step 1.  At a later time, after all was confirmed and FCC's shown on your invoices, I would call back to request changing ship and sailing date to what you want.

Very easy to change from a refundable to NRD.  Sometimes by the time you confirm everything and go to switch your refundable is actually cheaper than the NRD.

So that's what they do - reprice at the current NRD rate?  I was hoping they just removed the extra amount that had been included to make the reservation refundable.  I've added refundability to most cruises booked this year, but some of the new releases are showing a price increase of $900 or more for refundability, which I'm less inclined to include.

    Hi MindyJohn,

I was able to do the same today.   I was able to use my FCC credit on a cruise dated past April 2022.  July 14th 2022, 12 night British Isle on the Jewel was just booked today!

    Thanks RCI!

That's great news!  Glad it worked out for you too.  The longer Covid delays the restart of cruising the harder it gets for everyone to use their FCC's by April 2022.  Its good to see them making exceptions!

Has anyone tried using a FCC for a cruise past April 2022?  I'm looking at British Isles 12 day in June or July, when on Royals site it lets me "apply" the FCC for a June or July 2022 cruise.   I haven't gone as far as putting my credit card in for a deposit to confirm if my FCC will be applied or not, was hoping someone could tell me if they've done it?

Yesterday I called to inquire if I could change a December 2021 booking with FCC as deposit.  They said yes I could change the ship and sailing date and transfer the FCC deposit to the new booking.  Next step was to tell them I wanted a 7 day cruise on Voyager July 3, 2022.  By the end of the call, I got what I wanted and I was happy.  Maybe it was just a fluke, but there's a lot of FCC's out there and it seems they're making an effort to be accommodating if it makes sense.  In my case, they were getting an add-on to the original FCC deposit and the July 2022 cruise fare was a lot higher than December 2021.

I guess sometimes it pays to be a little OCD about cabins. Earlier today I booked a JS on the Jewel Arctic cruise for 6/20/2022. Was a click away from cabin 1100, then it was gone... so we just took a mid-ship JS. Took another look about 30 minutes ago and 1100 was available. I grabbed it !!!

And I was able to move our son and DIL to 1102. If the balcony divider opens we will have a large aft area to enjoy Norway!!

Also noticed that JS's are up $415 for 2 since this afternoon and GS's are up over $600.

    Good for you!!!

We just called and they could not move the FCC we had from our cancelled June 2020 cruise that we applied to our to June 2021 that was cancelled to the June 2022 cruise we just booked said not past April 2022 but we asked if we could get a refund and the rep was able to put a request in so hope that works out.  We are on the 6/26/22 8 night Med Greek Isles out of Rome on Odyssey.

If I understand correctly, you were not requesting a Lift and Shift with price protection, but wanted to move FCC from a June 2021 cruise to one in June 2022.  If so, I guess they're holding the line on expiration dates for FCC's.  I booked some placeholder cruises for my family in late 2021 in order to keep 12 FCC's alive, and hoping the CWC guarantee will allow me to eventually move those FCC from the placeholder cruises to summer 2022.  I guess I'll call tomorrow and see if they turn me down.

On the topic of Lift and Shift, I have 4 repo cruises booked in March-April 2021...covered my bases.  Three of the four have excellent 2022 L&S options listed using the online L&S form.

I noticed that both the Quantum and Ovation will be coming from Hawaii and will be home porting in Seattle.   Normally. both ships would sail from Hawaii to Vancouver and then the first Alaska sailing would start in Vancouver and end in Seattle.  Both of these are not showing yet.

I'm waiting to see what they do with Quantum after she arrives in Honolulu on April 26 and begins Alaska from Seattle on May 16.  I know you're doing the same for Ovation.  I wonder when their plans will be unveiled!

Mindy, I am still waiting on official word from RCI that they have cancelled Serenade out of Sydney early 2021 season.  Have 8 legs booked, (2/10/21-5/16/21) and don't expect any of them to happen.  Have no where to L&S since the cruise season for 2022 is not even close to the same.  At least so far as I see yet.  Maybe things will change later.

You've been getting hit left and right, that's for sure.  The variety of Australia 2022 itineraries looks weak compared to years past when there was at least one circumnavigation.  I can imagine how frustrated you are.

Don't blame you at all for being angry. We were on Radiance HNL - Brisbane 9/21/21. Option offered to us is to transfer to either Ovation or Serenade at PREVAILING RATES and get a whopping $50/Balcony OBC or $100/Suite OBC or we can get any $$ on the ressie refunded. Not a happy camper either.

These are the poorest RCCL customer service decisions I've seen in a long time.  I don't know how they justify not protecting your Radiance price.  And won't they need to have Quantum do a TP to Brisbane?  I hope they find a way to put the Quantum SYD-HNL people on the Brisbane itinerary and protect their prices.

I’m wondering if they are converting back to other tastes. There are two TP segments without passengers, in April 2021 Eastbound, and in late September 2021 Westbound to Honolulu. Fifteen days without pax Eastbound, and 10 days without pax’s Westbound. You can see the gaps in the photos below. I hope that means for our 2022 cruises, they will have completed that. What else can the gaps be?

Even though the scanner site has a gap between April 25, 2021 and May 10, 2021, on Royal's site you can book the segment.

LOL.  I almost spit my drink out when I saw this!  I spent a fair amount of time a couple weeks ago lifting and shifting 4 reservations from Enchantment, February 2021 to Freedom, January 2022.  Three  on one sailing and then 1 on the following sailing.  Just got all the cabins exactly where I wanted them last week.  I guess I will get to start over again soon!  I just hope they keep the itineraries - at least close to the same.

Ditto.  I L&S'd five weeks from Enchantment to Freedom.  Got confirmations for 4 and the 5th is still pending.  Now I know why.  I'm also involved with Radiance being dropped in Brisbane.  I had b3b on her in March-April 2022.  Can't win for losing.

I call C&A, explain I need to ask about my free cruise cert and ask to be transferred to resolutions.  They confirm my status and transfer me.  Easy peasy.  Just don't call the general Royal number, call C&A directly.

    Thanks!  Good to know 🙂
