A friend who is Loyal to Royal sailed on Sunrise last year (first time on Carnival). Nothing but negative comments. I told her to try a different ship and it was, "NO way, Carnival is S*** "
She couldn't believe that I like Carnival and there would never be a way to convince her to try it again.
I've never been on Sunrise but can't imagine it being THAT bad!

Sounds like your room steward just left the robes from the previous guests 🤢. They should be delivered by request, and are usually in a sealed bag or at least folded by laundry personnel.
Your experience may be different you are in a suite.
There were robes in the closet on my first Carnival cruise on Splendor, 10 years ago. I thought that was nice but when I took them out they were obviously USED.(Ugh)
Cabin steward took them away and offered to bring new ones but I declined.

Who doesn't use the pool towels? I rarely swim on the ship, but I still take them up to my lounger on Lido, and I certainly use them at beach port stops, and I think nearly every other passenger does the same. Making everyone request them would create a lot more work for the cabin stewards and long lines at the towel hut.
And there would also be a ten-page thread on CC about another Carnival Cutback.
I've never used a ships pool towel on any cruise I've ever been on. Too thick and heavy. I'll ask the cabin steward to remove them ASAP.

I'm sure the beds would be fine. My son was already in a bed at home when he turned 2. He would have climbed out of a crib...lol

Documenting is easy. If I go home smiling with more $$$ than I started gambling with, I'm a winner.
If I get off the ship with a long face and no gambling money left, I lost!
It's been a while since I hit a hand pay so until that happens again, I won't worry about it.

Every time I've been on Pride the casino was open before the first dinner seating.
One time we didn't board until almost 8:30 pm (the ship was late coming back) and the casino didn't open till almost midnight.

I'm enjoying another great journey. Thanks, Jeff.
Hope Patti takes it easy on her feet and the upcoming surgery works well.
Love the road trip. I hit the same spots when I drive down, especially Santee and Kingsland!

The only one I'd be blaming is myself if I left something like my pocketbook behind.
Sorry, but I don't see how you can put blame on the cabin steward.
Carnival responded and with the amount of time that has passed, there's nothing that can be done.

It's fine for that. 🙂
Otherwise, it's akin to the hairdryers attached to the wall in cheap motel rooms, except that it's in the drawer instead, and therefore, even more difficult to use.
I love where the hairdryers are. I always sit at home to dry my hair so it works for me. I've never used a dryer in a bathroom. My hair is thick and almost shoulder length and it's fine for me.
I have packed my own dryer and never used it.

Not something I'd eat for free!...lol
I see the day coming where a lot of food will have an added fee: Guys Burgers, Deli and pizza for starters.
I hope I'm wrong.

Does anyone know what time the shuttle buses leave from Baltimore to Norfolk?
You have to call to reserve a seat/seats on the bus. I don't know what time they start departing but have seen posts on FB that some people were in Norfolk before 11AM..

When I think of what I "donate" to the casino, Chef's Table is a bargain.
Last time I went was on Pride in 2019 and I think it was $90
It was worth it to me and quite enjoyable and kept me out of the casino for a few hours!

Someone is always trying to pull the plug on the FUN meter. LOL
I've never played LRC but have seen large groups do it on Pride at Lido and near Alchemy Bar.
Pictures of a recent winner holding a fistful of dollars were posted on the group page of another site!.
It is rude however to take up Lido tables at prime meal times unless you are eating.

For those leaving on the 4/21 cruise Carnival is still providing comp bus transportation from Baltimore to Norfolk and back. Info supposed to be e-mailed by tomorrow to secure a reservation according to the J Heald page.
A good alternative for those driving from the north to the port..

When I've had Cheers I drank the same on port days as sea days and it was always "worth it" for me to have the package.
I don't drink milkshakes, sodas, and waters and it was still a deal.

My brother is a die-hard RCI fan, but when looking at Alaska, went with Princess. RCI doesn't do Alaska very well. Price, ship, and itinerary wise, I don't think RCI does Alaska very well.
I used to be a die hard RCI fan and did Alaska on Serenade of the Seas out of Vancouver. It still remains my favorite cruise and ship.
It was a long time ago (2005) so maybe things have changed.
2007 was my last RCI cruise. Since I discovered Carnival I haven't been back to Royal. I would go back, just haven't!

Was? Some of us still say Tappan Zee. Thruway and NY state employees may have to use the other name but they can't make me say it.
It will always be "The Tap."

Agree and I usually don't. I like to draw my own conclusions on everything!
