  1. So in summary, buy the $300 Bar Tab for the amount I KNOW we will consume, to take advantage of the $50 bonus. But anything over this $350 will be at the same price, just charged to my credit card. The only advantage to pre-buy the Bar Tab is the $50 bonus, is this correct? Thank you!
  2. My husband has some dietary restrictions and also doesn’t drink alcohol, so even the rum cake would be off limits for him. First Virgin cruise, wondering about the possibility of taking a sandwich or other food as a “picnic lunch” option? Order on the ship, carry off to eat later? Is this do-able?
  3. Thanks everyone! I was able to download the App and log in under hubby’s info. I think this will work fine for us!
  4. May I ask you to confirm for me - is this the correct App I should download?
  5. Hello All! We just booked our first cruise with Virgin, so excited! We used my husband’s credit card, so also his associated email. Me - the family Vacation Planner - will I be posted with any necessary updates since I entered my own email as the second Sailor? Or do I need to watch and remind hubby to share with me? Thank You!
  6. Well he offered me $200 onboard credit. So again, after doing most of the research myself I might “earn” $200 - on a $5000 booking. I think I’ll just book the cruise directly through VV and skip the middle man. 😏
  7. Wondering what the benefit is for booking through a Travel Agent? I reached out to one that was recommended on this site. After some back and forth I was given a quote. But then was able to find exact same price for the cabin while poking around on the VV website. TA did mention we would get “onboard credits” booking through him. (Hasn’t provided $ amount of credits yet) But otherwise not sure the value added by TA? Thank you!
  8. Heh heh! We lived 14 years in SF Bay Area, then moved to Oregon. Got over hair, tats and piercings years ago! But I do appreciate your feedback! 😎
  9. Wow! Thanks everyone for your feedback, enthusiasm and vote of confidence! We are going to do it! 😎
  10. Very intrigued by VV style, no kids, the included items, and dining variety included. Almost seems too good to be true! 😉 We are both in early 60’s, have only cruised 3 times (Carnival and Princess). We are social but not nightlife party folks. Open minded as long as others are respectful. And we hold our own with younger coworkers. But we aren’t gym rats. We’d be on Scarlet Lady or Valiant Lady cruises. Questions: 1- Dinner Dining: If not pre-assigned time/table, how is this managed? Wait times for restaurants? 2- Is the atmosphere “Party Cruise”? Hubby doesn’t drink so having party scene in his space/face all over the ship might not be fun. 3- Pool Areas: Looking at the ships floor plans, it seems like the available pools and outdoor areas on the upper decks aren't adequate for 2700 guests? Am I misinterpreting what I see? Hubby loves a good hot tub soak. As long as he doesn’t have to sit on another’s lap. 4- Feedback In summary, we’d like to try something new with cruising. But we don’t want to find ourselves in an environment that feels uncomfortable for all involved. Thank you!
