  1. I've noticed on the Oasis class ships, we rarely see the CD either (maybe bc there are so many diff areas he could be in...can't be everywhere at once). We've been to many areas of Labadee and this year we went to two beaches. I think it's Adrenaline beach , near the zip line, that is horribly rocky. I stayed there for about 15 minutes and went back across the street to the nicer beaches. We loved Allure. (Went on it last month.)

I made it a goal this year not to go to the Windjammer. Never went there once. So many other places to go to on the Oasis ships and it rarely felt crowded except near the pools on sea days.

  2. Just returned and dh and I are diamond. DD (18) had her own cabin (we booked it for her) and her card says diamond but she didn't get her own coupons. She went to buy one of the photos from the photo gallery with the "diamond" coupon and was told it wasn't valid for her to use because she's not 21. (So I bought it on my card for free.)

I figure she wouldn't get the benefits but couldn't hurt to try.

  3. Used VOOM last year on Oasis and loved it. It was the first time I used wifi on a ship.

Going on Allure in 12 days (!!). I know they changed the packages. I want to take advantage of the 30% off. My dd and I (separate rooms) will be using the wifi/streaming on our phones.

Do you think it's best for me to purchase the one person, 2 device plan? Or the 2 people, 1 device plan? (We're in separate staterooms, but I'm paying for the rooms.) Not sure the best way to pre-order. Anyone know? Thanks!

  4. We had this happen last year (and it will happen again next month too). The only way we were able to get it worked out was to make sure out kids' charged some items to their cards. So if we had $200 credit in their cabin, I used their room keys to do some onboard shopping, excursions, etc. Once I knew I hit that $200 mark, we stopped using their room keys and charged everything else to my room key.

Two people at guest services said this was the only way to ensure that the OBC was used correctly. (we had reservations linked and one credit card paying for both cabins, but still this was the only way we were told).

(There probably is another way to do it but after asking twice at guest services, we just accepted it and made it work.)

  5. I enjoy the spa, but honestly the hard sell at the end is irritating. I had a facial on Explorer recently. Great facial and then the product sell. The facial (although wonderful) was $170. OK, fine, I will splurge bc it is wonderful. Then they want to sell me products that I have to have. (The last spa tech was almost rude about it. I asked how much the main product that I "Had to have" was. She almost didn't want to tell me. It was $189 (more than the facial). I said well I need to think about it. She was very mad. I could tell. From then she was just ready to kick me out of the door.

I never bought the product and when I got home, I bought a similar, less expensive one at Sephora.

  6. They won't give a refund. This year, by just pure "luck," we canceled our upcoming cruise just before final payment was due bc of a change in our schedules. Then just last week we realized we could go on the cruise. We looked to see if there was space available. There was and the price was $2000 cheaper! (grand suite). Totally worked in our favor and I doubt we'll ever book a year in advance again. We'll take our chances that prices will go down.
