  1. we had no problem switching nites or restaurants.. as soon as you get on board just go to one of the restaurants and they will change it there for you

Thank you! I know that switching restaurants isn't an issue but I was worried about switching to a date other than the first or second night. Thanks for the input!

  2. Hi All,

Quick question for all the experts. We will be cruising on Adventure in October and I keep getting information on sales for specialty dining. I'm mainly interested in the BOGO for the first two nights. The only problem/question that I have is I believe our first formal night will be the second night of the cruise. Has anyone had any luck with them being lenient if it falls on a formal night - or is that the whole reason they want it on the first and formal night (they might have lower attendance on formal night)? I've tried to email them but I'm not sure that I have the best email address and I've never received a response either. On Anthem we did this deal but neither the 1st or 2nd night was scheduled as a formal night. When we got on board and wanted to move the reservation they gave us to Wonderland instead of the other restaurant they had prepicked, they let us go another night because it was booked for both the first and second night. Just wondering thoughts, advice or a good email for Adventure dining. Thank you!!

  3. I'm sorry to bring this up here because it's only partly the question that I have. For the BOGO 2 Night Dining Package, I'm looking at it for Adventure of the Seas. It seems like it has to be the first two nights but most likely on an eight night itinerary where the second night is a full sea day, that will probably be a formal night in the dining room, correct? I'd like to take advantage of this but don't like to miss formal nights in the dining room. When we did the BOGO on Anthem in 2016 it didn't have to be the first two nights and we did Chops and Wonderland without missing any formal nights. Thanks for any input!

  4. Does anyone have any experience with FaceTime? I'm going to buy the premium plan and I know that it clearly says that it doesn't support FaceTime but sometimes things are different than stated. I want to use this as a way to communicate with my mother on her iPod. She doesn't have a smartphone but we got her the iPod for FaceTime and viewing photos. Last year it worked perfectly on Royal. I tried to download Skype on iPod but it was giving me difficulties. I realize that I might have to settle with just messages but I was wondering if anyone here had tried anything. Thank you!

  5. Hi there!

Quick question for anyone recently on the Vista. I'm planning on purchasing an internet package so that I can keep in contact with my mother while we are away. In reading the specifications on Carnival's website for their internet package it seems even their highest price premium packages won't support Facetime. Last year on Royal I was able to facetime her every night through our wifi. Has anyone recently on the ship used Facetime? We all know that many times, what you read isn't really what you get. Just wondering. If you couldn't use facetime, was there any other services anyone used? My mother doesn't have an Iphone but we did get her an iPod so that we could do this. Thanks for any information or suggestions!

  6. Hello My CC Friends!

Once again I'm heading to these boards because you all are always lifesavers and a wealth of information. I did try to find an answer to my question before starting another thread but I'm getting myself so confused! We are semi-seasoned cruisers (this will be our 11th) but we are from Pittsburgh, PA and have only ever left from Baltimore or Bayonne. This is will be our first flight to a cruise port. Actually it's our family's first flight ever (and yes, I'm scared lol). We are looking for a hotel that includes a shuttle to the cruise port - here is where I'm getting confused. We fly into Fort Lauderdale but we leave on the Vista out of Miami. Do we look for a hotel in FL instead of Miami because it might be substantially cheaper (not sure if it is or not)? If we do stay in FL and the hotel has a shuttle is it uncommon to need a shuttle to Miami and not just to the FL port? There will be six of us total - three in my family and three in my sister's family. Do we not worry about a hotel with a shuttle and just look into some kind of van? I've used Uber before but I'm not sure how that would work with luggage even if we did two separate cars. Please help my wise friends! Thanks in advance!

  7. This show (or perhaps another travel show) was being filmed during last week's cruise. I had two camera crew on my brewery tour. They were filming many locations on board.

Sorry to bug you about something off topic to this thread, but how did you book your brewery tour? Can you only do it once you get on the ship and how much is it? I don't see a place online to do it, but our cruise isn't until later October...

    Thank you!

  8. Hi!

I was hoping that someone who has recently been on Anthem for a nine night cruise might have information on their photo package. I can purchase it ahead of time for $249.99 (for all of our electronic images) but I'd like to use onboard credit if possible so I'd have to book that onboard. If the price is the same I'd wait, but I hate to not save the money. So if you remember the cost when you were on the ship, I'd appreciate you letting me know. Thank you!!

  9. Hi All!

This sounds like a dumb question but I promise there's a reason. I'm asking this for my sister. We will be on Anthem in October and she's wondering if all of the areas that offer free coffee/tea stations have the disposable paper cups. She will have her younger daughter in a stroller and the stroller has cup holders but won't fit a regular coffee cup that has a handle. She was wondering if she has to bring her own cup from home or just use paper cups there. When you're packing for yourself and all the other things that you need for an 18 month old, space is limited so not having to pack regular cups for her and her husband will be helpful. We were on Carnival last year and they only had the regular handled coffee cups.

    Thanks for your help!

  10. Ok, we've got reservations for the Puzzle Room and Ripcord. North Star never opened up online so we'll try to see about getting reservations once on board.

    Hi!

Did Puzzle Room show up under activities? We really want to book that it's not on our list yet. Can I ask how far out you are until your cruise?

  11. Day 6 – 7/19' date=' Tuesday @ Old San Juan, Puerto Rico

So, by the time we finally got into the actual Puzzle Break room, we were all a bit on edge. It was 4 of us, with a family of 3 and a family of 4. You absolutely MUST work together as one team, and the crew member is inside with you to help guide you along (they want you to succeed). I will say, the family of 4 had a young boy with them (maybe 6 yrs.?) and he was VERY excited to be there. So much so that we would be holding a piece trying to solve it and he would literally come up and yank it out of our hands. It was frustrating to say the least. This would be why there’s a minimum age requirement. Nonetheless, we succeeded in 38 min and walked out with our medals.

I'm happy to hear that there was a younger kid with you in the Puzzle Break room. I'm not happy that you had a bad experience, but our nine year old is dying to do this and has participated before. I promise we wouldn't let him act the way the other kid did though!

  12. Looking forward to reading your whole review. I've really enjoyed it so far! You had mentioned the Puzzle Room. We are interested in that as well. Did you hear that you could actually book it online at some point under activities or entertainment? I guess I can check that page daily then!

Happy Anniversary too! We will be celebrating our 14th this October on Anthem!

  13. Goodness I forgot to answer the first part of your question, haha! Solarium Bistro is open for everybody, at least in the morning and afternoon. I think it might be different in the night, but I am not 100% sure. It used to be called Divinly Decadence, but was rebranded to Solarium Bistro in December 2015 after RCI and celebrity chef Devin Alexander parted. You might be thinking of Costal Kitchen, because that is suite guests/Pinnacle members only!

Thank you! Yes, I believe I was getting the two confused! You're the best!
