  1. Im just off Coral this morning. I am disappointed at the laxity of mask enforcement. The staff tick the boxes about making the announcements but there is no follow through. Although I did see the guy in charge of the Horizon Buffet block an obviously hungover bogan from entering without mask. He decided to go elsewhere. I was travelling with my elderly mum who has health issues. First day in the lift, 2 ladies went to enter maskless. I indicated to my mask that they were needed. I got the Dorrie Evans response..."Nobody told me, nobody said that. " except the signs on the wall at the elevators perhaps? My other big issue was the mobility seating at the rear of the theatre. There are obviously elderly and frail people seated there, all wearing masks. Lights go out, the latecomers all stagger in, usually maskless and fill the empty seats in those rows. Princess no longer has a staff member on duty at the rear of the theatre to monitor this or to eject noisy drunks or troublemakers. Not good.
  2. I cruise solo most of the time and I love it I also find that going to the buffet early is best and as others have suggested, leave a book or a glasses case (nothing valuable though) on a table. If you want to meet people, activities such as trivia or dance classes are great. But, you may surprise yourself with trivia. I have won quite a few flying solo- mainly because you don't have to compromise with others insisting on their (wrong) answers ! 😁

  4. so what's the trick with uploading your vax certificate and test results to this wretched app. I've tried on my phone and also the web version. I'm trying to upload JPGs for both and I get 'something went wrong. Please try again later'. Very helpful...not. Maybe they should use Verifly - thats a piece of cake compared to this mess
  5. Uh oh. There is only the one. And, as my app was not updating to the new version, I decided to uninstall and reinstall and new version loaded. Last night, both myself and my mother were shown in the app as always. This morning , it's just me - she has completely disappeared. I don't know what to do now as she does not have a mobile phone.
  6. I'm embarking Coral on Saturday- my first Princess cruise since the Medallion was introduced. I have done all the necessary check-list items (except health status - too soon) for myself and my travel companion on my phone. We are Green Lane - does the QR code cover both of us?
  7. My Samsung is resisting change. I've signed in and out several times, restarted, force stopped the app and nothing. I'm hesitant to uninstall and reinstall as I'm cruising on Saturday and I don't want to mess it up. Maybe it will play nice overnight.

  11. for me, its always Aust to Hawaii as the smoking policy onboard complies with Australian Government rules and is stricter. A matter of preference....
