  1. Am I missing something on the menu's? I only see desert's listed on the Feast menu's, but nothing on the table menu's. And nowhere do I see ice cream! My family always cracks up when the waiter ask's me what I want for desert and I pick the melting cake and all the flavors of ice cream. I alway's point to all of them and say "across the board". By the third night they don't even bother to ask, they just bring all four flavors. And now it seems no more!! It's almost enough to make me say NO MORE CRUISING! But then I remember how much we love to cruise so I guess it'll just be more soft serve ice cream for me.

Take chocolate and or ice cream out of this world and I'll never eat sweets again. My only weakness!

  2. Thankyou Warmwinds.

I picked the Wall Street Inn based on reviews on hotels with a price point being under 250. Hard to find (if not impossible) anything in Mid Manhattan that's well reviewed at that price. As I said, we'll be there for two day's before the cruise, and after we'llm stay at the Opera House Hotel in the Bronx. New hotel with very good reviews that has a good price only cause of the area.

Geting back to the Wall Street however, I just want to be in Manhattan itself pre cruise. Just seems more practicle for a short two day stint.

  3. Has anybody stayed at the Wall Street Inn on S. Williams Street in Lower Manhattan. I'd like to know how convieniant it is to the Manhatten pier. And also is it worth staying there (because of location) or is it better to get out of Manhatten to save on hotel rates. We'll be there for two full day's before our Splendor cruise in June.

  4. Does anyone know when and if the Splendor is going to get it's long awaited 2.0 upgrade? I've searched various threads and it seems it keeps getting pushed back as to when it will actually go into drydock to get a real refurbishment, not just repairs like the dry dock after the fire.

  5. Hey Girl. It's not too late to book the July 6 Breeze cruise to Aruba. You'd be a blast to travel with and your descriptions and pictures of your husband speaks volumes to the laid back cool guy he must also be.

You guy's take care and one of these days we may just come around a hallway and bump into each other and immediately start grumbling to each other about the definition of "a sea day"!

  6. This is one of the most captivating reviews I've read on C.C. First let me commend you for not only your writing skills, but the dry and witty sense of humor you have, starting with your screen name. I think it goes over the top of most peoples heads, but I personally look at is as a name that signifies pride in yourself as an individual and what we all are, an American! I was born and raised in a very racially diverse city in California where for the most part everybody just looked at each other as you're either a good person or a jerk.

But enough of the speech. I'd only like to add that if the infamous John Heald ever wants to relax a little and let somebody else talk the cruise ship talk that we all enjoy, well, you'd be the perfect fit! Don't ever sell yourself short on your natural writing talent again.

  7. Is Indian the only ethnic food that you can request. My wife is Filipino, and all my kids grew up eating Filipino dishes. I know that a good number of the chefs in the cruise ship business are Pinoy, so logic says that if the Indian cooks are allowed to cook their specialties apon request, the Filipino cooks should also be allowed.
