We will be sailing on the Breeze for the first time on a 6 day cruise in February. So looking forward to exploring this ship. My favorite part is knowing that deck 5 wraps all around and I look forward to the hot tubs in this area as well. I love the "secret doors". We always do that at night, its so dark and you can see all the stars. At times we even see shooting stars.

Have a great trip! We decided to go to an all inclusive resort for the day as we didn't see any excursions that we could agree on. We wanted to get off the ship though and see the island some. We used Jamaica For A Day and went to Sunset Grand. It was great, the resort had a beach, pools, water slides, and lunch and drinks were included. The shuttle that took us back to the port offered to drop us off at a good shopping area right near the port so we did that and got our souvenirs. We really enjoyed it.
Was that thru Carnival? We are looking at maybe doing a resort or just staying on the ship after doing some shopping. Thank you for the input :)

I'm tagging along! Breeze is my favorite ship, I want to go back on her soon.
I see that you went on the Breeze and sailed to Nassau, Ocho Rios and Grand Turk. This is the cruise we are taking. Can I ask what you did in Ocho Rios? We can't seem to figure out what to do. We can't do anything too extreme since my husband just had hip surgery recently. We are sailing in February. Any info you can give would be great. Thank you

Thank you and enjoy your cruise:)

I am glad I found and read this post. We changed one of the cabins so we could open the partition and have a longer balcony. I would rather have that then a connecting door inside the cabin.

Hi moran4carnival :)
Use this link below:
https://www.goccl.com/~/media/Files/Irman/bookccl/the_fleet/breeze/breeze.ashx
Once inside, click on 'Stateroom Descriptions' then click on your deck.
Cabin 10276 connects to: 10278 The balcony partition connects to: 10274
:)
Thank you. Looks like our partition will not open. Wish our TA told us that when we booked.

oooo finally found this!
https://www.goccl.com/~/media/Files/Irman/bookccl/the_fleet/BR_MainDeck.htm
We are booked in cabins 10276 and 10278 and they are connecting cabins.. Does this mean we can not open the balcony partition? I tried to go on the link to the website you listed but it didn't work. could you help?

The Breeze has not gone to the "American Table" menu. And I have read here that the american table menu rollout is on hold for now. So Breeze still has the old menus. There may have been some changes since 2011, but still should have the same amount of choices as you had then.
What is the "American Table Menu"
-
I have read that the menu choices have changed and are more limited on Carnival since I last cruised in 2011. When we last cruised on the Valor and if we didn't like some of the dinner choices we could order steak or chicken. Can you still have that choice on the Breeze?

Is it possible to make a reservation at the Cucina Del Capitano on the Breeze before you sail? Also, can you only order only one appetizer per couple or is it one per person?

Can each person order an appetizer or is it one per couple? Also, can you make reservations ahead of time before the cruise like you can with the Steakhouse?

We booked for the first time a balcony cabin on the lido deck on the breeze. From what I have read here on cruise critic and heard from my PVP, this is a great location, close to the action, less foot traffic and they say its quiet. We are very excited to try it. We usually book a cabin on deck 8, but trying something new this time around.

Does the Breeze have pitchers of beer or pitchers of sangria or other drinks that you can order instead of by the glass?
-
Thanks everyone for your suggestions..... :)

Be sure to stroll around deck 5. There is a walkway all the way around the ship. Also there is a wooden glider on the port side aft section. Go out there have a drink and sit on the glider swing. And if you order a drink and get Dwayne you'll laugh your self silly. Deck 5 is so relaxing and has 4 hot tubs.
Do the hot tubs on deck 5 get busy and are they open at night?

I agree with all stated above, but can't speak for the steakhouse.
Check out the BBQ at lunch time on Starboard side deck 5. Was very good but long line. Also loved the Mongolian Wok (midship buffet area).
Also, we spent a lot of time at the piano bar, but that was because of Ben Gentry ( http://pianomanben.com/ ). We have been with him on 2 different ships so far and he is the best. He probably won't be there when you sail, but check out the piano bar anyway. Might be a good stop after dinner or after the shows.
I know the BBQ is on sea days only, do people line up early before it serves? Is it worth standing in the long lines?
I want to try the Mongolian Wok. Is the piano bar non smoking?
Thanks for your input :)

You will love the Breeze, you will love it even more having a balcony on the Lido. It is a great spot. We book room 10282.
Go to Cucino el Capitano for lunch as it is free then.
If you love steak and lots of food the steakhouse is great.
If you are going to the Comedy club go early to get a good seat as it is busy.
Definitely have Guy's burgers....more than once!
Blue Iguana burrito's are really good.
The Chocolate buffet is usually at lunch on the last day.
If you are travelling without kids visit Serenity for some peace and quiet.
I can't think of anything you shouldn't do. We loved the Breeze so we are going again this year.
Enjoy.
We are in cabin 10278. So excited to try the lido deck cabins. We have heard many great things on this location.
I heard the comedy club gets very busy. How early should we get there for a show?
How long is the dinner at the Steakhouse?
Thanks for your input :)

We are sailing on the Breeze February 22, 2015 - First time on this ship. It's a 6 day cruise going to Ocho Rios, (never been there), Grand Turk (have been there) and Nassau (last time we sailed there was in 2000). We are very excited to see what this ship has to offer. (This will also be our first time booking a balcony cabin on the lido deck) Looking for suggestions, opinions, hints, etc. from people who have sailed on the Breeze. We want to make the best and do as much as we can on this cruise and of course, eat, drink and be merry, lol
Thanks everyone

Perhaps spending a day at an all-inclusive beachside resort may be an option? Resort for a Day offers resort day passes that include transportation to and from the cruise terminal to an all-inclusive resort (ie: Jamaica Grande, Jewels Dunns River...), where you can have use of the facilities, pool and relax on a beach...and since it is all-inclusive, lunch and drinks are included!
Do we have to plan this ahead of time with the resorts or can we do it once we get there?

Which of the three ports will you be docking at? That might will make a difference! We love shopping in Jamaica. They are the kings of negotiations and haggling! So much fun. Don't EVER give them what they are asking for (unles you are in an international jewelry store, etc). Markets are a blast to chat with the locals and find some pretty inexpensive cool treasures!!

Has anyone done the Carnival excursion of the Paradise Beach Club with lunch? Just wondering if this is a nice place to go.

We thought the Breeze was a great ship. We took a 6 night trip with stops in Grand Turk, Ocho Rios, and Nassau. We thought the food was good, we chose ATD and it took us a couple nights to find a wait team that we clicked with, but we did eventually. We really enjoyed Guy's, and the Blue Iguana Cantina. We felt that the CD and his staff were really good, and definitely worked hard to make the cruise special. We played the Pub Quiz in the Red Frog Pub every night and the staff there were great and really made us feel like part of the family.
We do feel that the size of the ship presents a challenge for the staff in the dining rooms, if you are at the and away from the galley, your waiter has a long walk and that can lead them to seem rushed at times.
All in all, I'd cruise on the Breeze again in a minute.
We are going this same cruise in February. What excursions did you do in each port if you don't mind me asking?
Frozen drinks in turvis tumbler?

Do they do this on the Breeze?
