  1. Not worried about getting it on the boat, more concerned on how to get it from room cooler to WJ, DL, MDR. mini moos won't do, wife needs peppermint mocha. :D

Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Forums mobile app

Just looked on Amazon. You can get a 50 pack of peppermint mocha cream for $5.52 (individual creamers). However, the S&H is $7.78. Still not a bad deal if it keeps the wife happy!!

  2. Hi, I am considering a cruise on Pride form Tampa next thanksgiving. We are also considerig RCI's Brilliance. My main question is, Has Pride gotten any enhancements like Legend and Spirit?

Also, has anyone been on Brilliance of any if her sisters? Brilliance looks slightly better, but Pride is a 7 nighter versus 4 or 5.

The Pride will not be sailing from Tampa next Thanksgiving, from what I can see on the schedule. Looks like you can only choose the Paradise for that time frame, and only 4 or 5 day cruises. Sorry!

  3. Luggage scales are identical to the fish scales sold in Walmart for around $6.87, only the face is a slightly different color. They weigh up to 50 lbs, so I figure if I can raise it up and the marker doesn't go past the 50 mark, I'm good.

You can also buy digital scales for around $20 in the luggage supply area, but then you have keep the batteries fresh (unless you cruise & fly often!)

  4. A couple of years ago Delaware started handing out the EDL's. I have wondered about how acceptable they are in place of the DL and BC. We have Passports and used them when we obtained the EDLs to prove citizenship. We will still renew the Passports when it is time. Never know where we might want to travel!

  5. We are Platinum so don't need it. However, my DB and his wife are not. She fell on a cruise 2 years ago and broke her hip. She has finally decided to try cruising again but is leery of the long lines, carrying stuff around etc. So, I bought FTTF for them as a surprise so they can board with us. Just so much easier!

  6. We just got off the Explorer and I asked for a lemondrop in the Diamond Lounge. I was told I couldn't get it there, would have to go to a regular bar & pay for it. Oh well, I just wanted to try one as I have heard they are good.

BTW, my husband loves the martinis, but made the mistake of tipping the bartender in the DL. He was very nice, but I think he took too good care of my husband--he went to sleep after dinner and didn't wake up for 4 hours. That martini was just a little too strong for him! I told him no more martinis, so we had Bailey's on the rocks for the rest of the cruise.

  7. I am cruising the carnival dream may 24 2015. Can you tell me if balconly room #6286 is a bad room number, so i can change it now? Please inform which one to get? Thanks

I looked it up on http://www.cruisedeckplans.com and it looks like a good cabin. You would be right above the shops, so it would be convenient to run down one flight of stairs to the action. It should be quiet. I would book it.

  8. No tips really, it's probably the easiest port to sail out of. if you are travelling south on 95 make sure to stay to the right as you go through the tunnel just before the exit as the exit is immediately after you get out of the tunnel.

They are very organized. Pull into the parking lot, stop at the first booth, they ask if you have luggage tags and send you to the appropriate area. If you will be parking at the pier, luggage drop off is first, then pay (cash or credit card), then you park.

Enter the terminal, through security to the check in lines. Once you are checked in, if they are not boarding, they will seat you in order. Once boarding begins, they will lead you to boarding in the order they seated you.

If you are coming in on I-70 to Baltimore, you will be taking I-695 south and then pick up I-95 north to the harbor. Going this way, it is the last exit before the tunnel. Keep to the right at this exit, onto E. McComas Ave. It is a very easy port to sail out of.

  9. We have been on the Pride several times, once in a Vista Suite on deck 4. There was quite a lot of constant vibration which was noticeable, esp. in the aft and dining area. However, I see that you are not going until after the Pride has been in drydock and upgraded. They should have the vibration problem fixed by then, as it seemed to be something to do with the propulsion/props.

The Vista Suites are great, you will enjoy the aft wrap and have wonderful views of the side and back of the ship. It will be a nice anniversary surprise!

  10. It will be dark for most of the sailing out of the Chesapeake Bay. It takes about 8 or so hours to reach the bridge tunnel. Mostly you can see lights on the shore, but unless you have a GPS or a phone with GPS, it is not easy to identify landmarks. When you get to the bridge tunnel, between 11:30 and midnight, it is easy to pick out.

  11. Hmm, I see a theme here. The Replenish Package serves lovely coffees (have had the package), and premium tea....guess which kind????

Bringing your own tea is a great idea. If there are kettles in the cabins, I bring my own coffee too. Maybe they'll install Kuerig machines one day!! :D

Here's another vote for Keurig machines!! I guess I'll have to get the cappuccino in the Diamond Lounge.

  12.

I didn't think about the fact that taxes and insurance are refunded. We book insurance independently with CSA. I guess from now on, I can insure only the cost of the cruise portion, without including the taxes and insurance fees?

    ?

I just found out that you don't have to include the port fees & taxes in the cost of the cruise insured. I am sure I overpaid in the past.
