  1. This was the worst part of the B2B.  We had to meet in the theater at 8:30am.  They took all the same information that they took at the beginning of the cruise. I asked why and they said they delete everything?  The funny part was that they magically retained all my charge card information.  After an hour we went to the port, got a facial scan and could have gotten right back on the ship but we waited for quite a while.  The rumor was that the Coast Guard/CDC/??? was giving the ship the "once over.  We finally got back on the ship.  We didn't have to show anything, the scan did all the work.

  2. We just got back from a wonderful B2B cruise (14 days) on the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas.  We will be

putting out many additional videos over the next few months.  If you are thinking of cruising with RCL or on an

Oasis ship you may want to check them out.  If you have any questions you can either email us

(JandNTravels@yahoo.com) or post a question here.

  3. We are at the hotel,  Our Oasis B2B cruise leaves in 18 hours and my wife asks me how we plan on opening our 4 bottles of wine? You would think we would have thought of this earlier! Even if we could find a place to buy a wine opener I assume they wouldn’t let us take one on board?  Will our steward or a bartender lend us one with out charge?  How do people handle this? We usually sail on NCL which doesn’t allow you to bring anything on board.

    thanks

I enjoy a dessert or light snack in the evening, after the shows.

With the Windjammer (buffet) closed completely after lunch, it appears that the only places to eat between 9:00 pm and midnight are the surcharged restaurants.  Am I reading the restaurant schedules correctly?

Anyone know if they will be opening up the Windjammer for dinner in the near future?

We are also on this sailing.
I can add that we went to Chill Island around 9:00am and easily walked off the ship with no line. We walked to Chill Island and found great lounge chairs in the shade under a palm tree with an umbrella with no problems. We were behind the lifeguard station and were an easy swim - or walk at low tide, to the swim up bar area.  There were also plenty of loungers with umbrellas in the sun too. We were near the restrooms, a small bar and also an easy walk for plenty of food. There were lots of guys available to take drink orders or give you a Coco Loco.
We have done the Coco Beach Club before on another cruise, and it was good, but now I’m thinking that was a waste of money! Beautiful day with no extra expenses!

I heard Chill Island was the best place to snorkel?  Do you know if that is true?

Jetty Park beach is about 1/2 mile away. You could visit Exploration Tower, Manatee Park, Cocoa Beach (3 miles). There is an excursion that offers Cape Canaveral highlights. No excursion to Disney Springs is offered by RCI.

We may try to venture to Jetty Park, I assume there is a beach there?  Wanted to go to the tower but heard it was only open  on the weekends?  What/where is manatee park?

Hello everyone and good evening. Oasis of the Seas pulled away from the pier slowly on time at 8:00 p.m.

She docked today as scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Visiting the passenger terminal in Port Canaveral was nice because I was supposed to be sailing Allure of the Seas a months ago but had to cancel. The terminal here is very nice and I remember sailing from here a couple of years ago on Harmony of The Seas.

I left the ship today at around 3:00 p.m. and just went over to Grills Seafood Deck and Tiki Bar.
Enjoyed a great Hurricane Burger while there and the place was very busy due to a ship being in Port today. I came back to the ship around 5:30 and I had to watch news for a couple of hours. I actually woke up in time for sail away at 8:00 p.m.

Tomorrow we will be in Perfect Day at CoCo Cay. The last time I was in Coco Cay was a couple of years ago before the perfect day theme had been completed. I am looking forward to a relaxing Beach day.

I have to rush down to see the Aqua 80 show in the Aquatheater . It has been suggested that that this is a do not miss event.

Here are a few pics from today. Thanks for tuning in. . .

Hello everyone, and good day. The Sea is Calling Welcome to “LIVE” from Oasis of the Seas

I will be heading north tomorrow to sail Oasis of the Seas from Cape Liberty.  This will be my first Cruise since Nov 2019 (Queen Mary 2, transatlantic) Wow, it has been almost 24 months since I was able to post “LIVE” My Covid Test today was =Negative=, so I am ready to sail.

There has been a lot of media attention about Oasis of the Seas, being the first Oasis Class ship sailing from the NY metro area. (Bayonne, NJ). This ship was supposed to sail last year (from Cape Liberty) and Royal Caribbean has been marketing this ship since November 2019 when she completed her $165 million amplification. (For her 10 year anniversary)

I will attempt to point out most, if not all of the new features, including:

    ·         Reimagined, Caribbean-inspired pool deck.

    ·         Splashaway Bay kids Aquapark.

    ·         The Lime & Coconut signature bar.

    ·         Perfect Storm trio of waterslides.

    ·         Ultimate Abyss – the tallest slide at sea.

    ·         Music Hall inspired by the Quantum Class Ships

    ·         Portside BBQ, the cruise line’s first barbecue concept.

    ·         Spotlight Karaoke, dedicated karaoke venue.

    ·         Mexican grab-and-go fare at El Loco Fresh

    ·         Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade

    ·         Bionic Bar, with the dynamic duo of robotic bartenders.

    ·         Royal Escape Room – Mission Control: Apollo 18.

I don’t think I named all of the new features, but I will attempt to point them out throughout the week. I also plan to show all of the new protocols that have been implemented on Oasis of the Seas.

I am hoping for good weather next week, and I am looking forward to entering the Passenger Terminal at Cape Liberty on October 3, 2021.

There will be much more coming in just a few days . . . Thanks for tuning in.

  9. Sailing on a B2B on the RCL Oasis of the Seas on 10/17/21 & 10/24/21.  Stopping at

Cape Canaveral, Coco Cay and Nassau Bahamas. Can anyone share what they are

    doing at these ports?

    My initial plan is:

Cape Canaveral-Walk to Jetty Park or Lounge near ship?

Coco Cay- Swim and snorkel all day

Nassau, Bahamas- Walk around port area and/or walk to Junkaroo Beach?

    Any other or better ideas?

    thanks

Rather than calling the hotels directly have you tried booking through trinityreservations.com as I and others have suggested to you several times ? In the past some hotels only sold those packages through booking agencies such as Trinity Reservations.

6 out of 7 of the hotels Trinity deals with are not doing the package, at least not doing it now. The 7th they aren’t sure about?

Yes, there are gluten-free options.  Also make sure to put down on your reservation that you would prefer gluten-free meals.  Your waiter in the main dining room will confirm that with you and help you to make the right choices.  There is also a gluten-free section in the Windjammer Cafe, too.  There is gluten-free pizza at Sorrento's, but it's nothing special.
