I've been trying to do the same with a cruise I've been following for December 2019.
Hopefully I won't mess things up by waiting so long???

I was on the Escape recently and they didn't sell beer buckets. On my previous cruises the
ships had beer buckets that enabled you to buy 6 beer for the price of 5. Does the Bliss
sell beer buckets and what do they cost?
thanks

Any beaches within walking distance?

I agree, if the forts are not your thing going to the beach and having drinks and an early dinner is not that bad either.
If you never went to the forts though, should be a stop and you will have a little of time of you disembark fast enough... 🙂
Just found out our ship doesn't get into Port until 4pm. Are the forts still open? What else is open?

What are they charging now?
We paid around $240, the quote I got last week was around $340. Not sure if it
was the time of year, the day of the week, ect.

Agree, Taste or Savor is the best choice for sit down dining. It does not open until 12:00. We were onboard at 11am and went to Observation Lounge and got some great seats. They have small lunch buffet there . Remember, there are additional port taxes added to any drinks you might have while in Seattle, before sail away.
What type of foods were in the Observation Lounge? Curious if you are talking just snacks or actual lunch food?

Used it last November and it worked well. Couldn't find it on their web site for our upcoming December cruise so I called. They still do the package but the cost has gone up.

We just found out our ship gets into San Juan at 4pm instead of early in the morning.
What will be open to see late afternoon and early evenings? Is it worth getting off
the ship that late?
thanks

We have done a Catamaran tour in the past and didn't think the snorkeling in St Kitts was very
good so we are thinking about just hanging around the port area for a few hours. Are there many
places to get a drink near the ship port? What is the average price for a beer or drink? Is there
anything else (other than the shops) you recommend us checking out?
Thanks..

I have stayed at both the Hampton Inn and Hilton Inn. Both worked out very well for us. I am looking at them for our December cruise but noticed that the prices have gone up $100 for the time we want.

This is great....thanks

Going to St Kitts on the Bliss in December. Is there anything within walking
distance of the cruise port?

Glad to share! As I said in our roll call, it was far too much work for so few people to benefit. I can't say it's ready for Google apps or anything, but it isn't bad (it's super hard planning and laying out the route in such a small area - thank goodness for Google Earth so I could try to 'see" where the usual map was not helpful). There is an alt route in the file (which cuts off the end of the tour in case someone has just had enough). It's only a few miles total so that is a good thing!
The food I had really researched (I mean why go to another country and not sample the fare?!). I couldn't add everything (but I wanted to), but a place with every kind of cocoa food and beverage is there, one of the top bars in the world is also - I have tried to add images and information for each "stop" that you can click on to "read more." Some of the more highly rated shops and shopping areas are added too (luckily they are close in with other stops).
I hope that it helps! I am sending them out now, so if you don't get it for some reason please let me know. 🐠
@Embem - Where do you want me to send yours? 🙂
P.S. My understanding is that this map can be used offline (I think you download it to your phone to do that). But for those who end up paying extra for PR, this should help a lot (some of the ones I found required being connected and I wasn't willing to pay that extra charge!)
I would appreciate your map/excursion also. Thanks in advance. Please email
to John at "JandNTravels@yahoo.com"

Have a great cruise. We went in 2018. I'm curious if the shows and other
entertainment is different? If possible, could you list the shows?

With regards to your comment about Margaretville being a dud, I noticed the same thing on the Getaway this past January. It was always empty. And it seems to take up so much space that would be better suited for something else.
We took the Escape to the Caribbean and found the same thing, practically empty for all meals. I think it's time the use this space for something different?

We haven't taken a lot of cruises (6 in ten years) but will now cruise strictly in the Fall (on a
minimum 10 day cruise). This allows us to travel on less crowded ships with almost no children.
We enjoy the food in the Main Dining Rooms and the entertainment but everyone's taste is different.
-
We did the Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden Inn, both in Ridgefield Park NJ
We had no problems with either of these. I heard there is also one at a
Fairfield Inn in NJ but never stayed there.

We have had incredible luck with the sailaway and will continue to use until we get burnt.
We have taken 5 NCL cruises. The last two were sailaway. Both times the cabins were much
nicer than what we would have booked. Last November we got a $1800 balcony cabin for
$532. The "free" perks cost a lot of money so we don't mind getting the sailaway with no perks.

We are thinking of taking gem cruise in November. We have taken the
GEM before and are hoping for new entertainment. Could you talk about the
onboard shows a little?
thanks

We are looking at a 2019 Fall cruise on the GEM out of Boston. We are wondering
if the entertainment has changed? Could anyone tell us about the shows presently
on the GEM?
-
Not sure if this will help but it's our review from 2017:
-
2017 on GEM out of NY (had prime rib twice) 12 day cruise
2018 on Escape out of NY (had prime rib at least twice) 14 day cruise
Hop On Hop Off Sea Taxi - NCL

I cannot find any info online. For some reason I thought you picked the boat up at the
pier and got dropped back at the pier???
