we are on the Millie in Feb 2018 from Singapore.
The ship is there from the day before we sail. They arrive at 10 a.m.
We sail the following day at 7:30 p.m.
My question is, because the ship is there for such a long time, when could we expect to board the ship on the day we sail?

They have a male only sauna, nice showers, and some fun men(most times)
Does anyone know what the men's facilities are like in the Celebrity Eclipse? I have been on it but don't recall and it was the first year it launched! -

We are on the Celebrity Millennium, and taking their shuttle into Bangkok, staying overnight.
Has anybody taken the Millenniums overnight shuttle? What time did they pick you up to come back to the ship? Our ship leaves at about 5 p.m.

Yes the stores on Celebrity Ship sell Lanyards with a plastic holder that you slip in the Sea Pass. You DO NOT punch a hole in the Sea Pass. The Sea Pass has to be scanned and putting a hole in it could screw up the Sea Pass. They cost $15 and we wore them all the time on the ship, which made it easy if you wanted to buy anything.
Does Celebrity sell Landyard Cords for your Sea Pass and if so, do you know how much they cost? I'm also assuming they punch a hole in the card for you?It most likely would be less expensive to purchase 9 of them for our group in advance like on Amazon.
Does anyone have a recommendation on an Amazon Landyard that you purchased worked well for you (sturdy, etc).?
I'm thinking perhaps I will purchase 9 of them in advance and then a celebrity to hole punch the cards.
Thanks where your input!

Spent a lot of time in the sauna.
There is no steam room that is free. Persian Gardens( which you have to pay for unless in Aqua Class) has a steam room, which is not worth the cost.. The free sauna has a window looking outside and 2 windows that staff can look in.
Had some very interesting conversations in the sauna
Just booked a cruise on the Celebrity Constellation. It is quite sometime since I was last on this ship and cannot totally recall the spa situation. If i am correct i do remember a nice sized sauna in the gents changing rooms which has two port holes. I cant remember if there is a Steamroom or not, can anyone assist? -
What are the sauna and steam room like? Male ONLY? Free?
Friendly atmosphere?
-
Glad to hear the atmosphere was friendly. Makes the trip that much more enjoyable
-
How is the atmosphere in the Sauna and Steam Room?
-
Can be strenuous especially getting to the root of the problem you are discussing
-
I am in Aqua Class on the Connie and can use the steam room and sauna in the Persian Gardens.
Are they co-ed?
Do you have to wear a bathing suit?
I much prefer going au naturel
-
For the chat. Looking forward to some interesting conversations
He probably did---he stopped responding to me too, after I didn't give him the answer he wanted to hear. -
We are looking for a TA that goes to Iceland, and while you are correct that Celebrity does go to Iceland, they don't go there on a TA
-
I am looking at a RCCL cruise next August that goes to Iceland among other ports. I wish Celebrity did.
I am a Captains Club Member, are points transferable between the 2 companies?
What is the main difference between the 2 cruise lines?

would you email me please, I have some sensitive questions I would like to ask you, if you would be so kind
Thanks for the great detailed information. Is this true for their entire fleet?Do you say this because the cold plunge is physically sized for just one person, alone? Or because it would actually be dangerous or cause injury if someone else tried to "plunge" in while you were in there?
Yes those relaxing conversations in dim light are the best and most relaxing; it gets you relaxed & makes for a more intimate setting, and doesn't make you feel like you're in a brightly-lit zoo exhibit where everyone is peeking in at you. I guess you would want to prepare for someone entering, and not be startled while you are in the middle of your conversation.
You know, I never understood why so many locker rooms, both on land and on sea, have showers with curtains. I am from the old school and military life, where there were either open showers---or a round "shower station", in which guys stand around a long cylinder with about 4-5 shower heads surrounding it; and guys changed/undressed/dressed freely. My thought is: we're all men here, and if you're that insecure & need that much "privacy", then maybe you shouldn't be coming to a public place---you should shower at home.
Now, why would someone need to fit two people in there? ;) :D Does it get that packed in there, where the shower stalls are "double-booked"?
Yes, those are the things most important to me in the spa/locker area: a bench/place to rest between steam/sauna sessions; water/drinking fountain; the outward view (sometimes I will just stand there in my towel and get into a mesmerized daze, looking out of the windows)---so relaxing for the mind; and great conversations with others who are in there for similar reasons---to get away from wife/parents/friends, and have memorable interactions with other cruisers.

Thanks for the info

for your quick response.
That's what we thought but always best to check
Just as in any country, our commerce is conducted in our own currency, which in Israel is shekels. So yes, you will need to pay in shekels, not dollars. As suggested by hubofhockey above, you can use your credit card to pay, or if you prefer to pay in cash, ATMs are widely available so you should have no problem getting a small amount of shekels to use. Currently the exchange rate has been hovering at a little under 4 NIS (shekels) to the dollar. -
Hi
Firstly I do apologize if this has been asked before.
We are on the Constellation stopping in Israel and we are taking private tours.
We have been to Israel before and loved it. Now for the question.
Last time we were there only Shekels could be used to buy thing-lunch. Is that still the case?
Our tours are in U.S. Dollars and we have lunch on our own, will we have to have Shekels?
Thanks
