  1. for the advice, will do

Check out in the Special Interest Cruising section under Fitness, Spa & Sports Cruises and you should find all the information you want. It may take a little looking as there are a lot of posts. Be very careful what you say or ask for.
  2. We are doing a B2B on Celebrity. If we took some liquor in our suitcase and it was discovered.

We understand it is taken from us and returned at the end of the cruise. So we would get it back at the end of the first cruise and would have it for our second cruise.

    Anyone had that experience?

  3. Got your info on Herculaneam and it is terrific. If we are ever on the same cruise will buy you a drink of your choice(as long as it is under $10( LOL)

The stop is called Ercolano Scavi.

It is closer to Naples than Pompeii; I did it coming from the other direction (Sorrento) but I'd say it's about 20 minutes.

Can't answer re: the taxi, but the train is pretty easy. Once you get off the train, you'll walk downhill down a major road with the train station at your back. This road basically dead-ends at the entrance to Herculaneum in about 4-5 blocks -- you can't miss it.

    There's no museum onsite.

Yes, you should have enough time to do both Herculaneum and the Archaeology Museum.

I have a lot of info on Herculaneum, included notes for a self-guided tour (having just done it a few weeks ago). If you want to give me an email, I'd be happy to send it to you.

  4. Sorry to be a me too, but if you can and when you can, would love to have your info on Herculaneum. It would be most appreciated.

    my e-mail is re1law@hotmail.com

  5. Hi Sabbycat

We are doing an Eclipse Transatlantic cruise in October and would be interested in taking the "Wine Glass Workshop", that you described so well,BUT

when I look on the Packages for our cruise, it shows it for $14.40 each plus Service Charge, NOT $80. When I put in my wife and I to purchase the package, it only shows a total of $33.12 Canadian

What am I missing? or do they get you once you have signed up for upcharges?

Any help you could give us would be appreciated.

My dh and I participated in this workshop on our last cruise. I did it mainly for the glasses. (You can order extra sets at the price of the workshop too!)The price is a great deal. In Canada, this tasting set costs $146 plus taxes and shipping. It worked out to $170 all in per set. On the ship the workshop was approx $80 CAN. Shipping to Canada is NOT $15, BUT $30. Still worth it. I already own lots of Reidel, but of the Wine Series and not the Vinum series. Vinum is a MUCH better quality, but VERY expensive in stores.

My dh had a good time at the workshop. BYW: Each glass in Canada sells for approx $55! Good deal, and lots of fun.

To those who think it is waste, you may not be wine drinkers. The shape, size etc of the glass do make a difference. Could you get glasses of the right shape for less, sure, but they are not of the same quality.
