  1. Hello,

I've been searching spring break for 2025 on the princess site but unfortunately am not seeing any Caribbean cruises for mid-April 2025. Does anyone have insight as to whether or not princess will be adding more cruises during this time frame?

    Thanks!

  2. Not sure if this is allowed but I found info from FB and copying it here. This is Royal but since sister ship of Regal, they're probably the same with location, etc.

Royal Princess E729 suite (11/25-11/30). I will try to find better pictures of the wrap around aft balcony. Hard to capture in one pic.

Ash situation was minimal. We did hear some bass from the Vista Lounge downstairs 2 nights but it wasn't that loud. Did not get any smoking smell from the smoking deck below. Movement on that ship is minimal. Only one night did I actually notice the boat was moving.

Every cruise ship in the world has a collection of electric fans that you can borrow for use in your cabin.

Why waste valuable suitcase space to take your own?

I didn’t know you could ask for a fan.

The medallions are manufactured and personalized in Asia then shipped to the USA using a freight forwarder. The freight forwarder then forwards them to the US Postal Service for final delivery.  Most times they are sorted at the forwarder's facility in Carson, CA and New York.

The exception are for Medallion orders placed late.  These are usually shipped from Florida or Singapore via FedEx.

Good to know! I was surprised when I ordered mine about 30 days before the cruise and got a reply saying I would need to pick them up on embarkation day because they couldn't be shipped in time to Virginia. I hadn't realized they would be coming from another country.

  5. I have an interior for my upcoming cruise and put in a bid on a balcony which was accepted a few days ago. I noticed the balcony wasn't in the best location so I called and asked to be switched back to the original room. I was able to do that but it did take 45 minutes on the phone. It's a pro if you're happy anywhere on the ship but a con if you are a little choosy like me.

So this is above and beyond regular room service/ How do you order the food?

There will be menus in your room, at least there was pre-covid. I've just called with my order and it will be delivered to your room. When you call, the person on the other end can tell you're calling from a suite.

  7. I'm not sure how to copy a thread so I pasted this info from another thread that worked for me. Instead of faxing, just send an email. I received an email back saying it would take up to 21 days and it took 2 days to show on my account.

I just send this via email:  ('sbpcl@princesscruises.com' with my stock proof attached)

I am requesting the shareholder’s Benefit.  I have purchased the required 100 shares of CCL and offer up the following supporting information as noted on the Shareholder Benefit webpage.

100 shares purchased (see attached brokerage report)

    Name:

    Booking Number:

    Ship:

    Sail Date:

    Name

    Address

    Phone

MUCH easier than trying to use that dumb form!  People who design these forms rarely go through the motions of actually filling them out!  Field lengths are never long enough unless you write microscopically!

Hey all.  Just buy MedallionNet on board and keep your money.  Same price on board as pre-cruise now.  And you can use OBC to pay for it if you have enough.

Do you need to buy for the whole cruise or can you purchase for just a day or two?

Not that anyone of us ever wants to get off the ship at the end of a cruise but the disembarkation process is so much calmer and more civilized than the first Princess cruise we did in 2007.  I don't even remember any instructions and it seemed like everyone on the ship was standing on the stairs and in the atrium with lots of announcements over the PA.  Really all I remember is that it seemed like utter chaos.  Soon thereafter IIRC they changed it to the distributed schedule for when and where to meet for your silent disembarkation.

I had totally forgotten about that old process. Agree that it is much better now!

Thank you for this info! I have the form but will email my stock information instead of faxing, which seems much easier.

For most of us on the East Coast, it's easy enough to drive to Colonial Williamsburg and just buy admission tickets and stay at a nice hotel.

Agree but if Princess started using the area as a departure port, that would be wonderful. I keep waiting for Princess to start leaving from Baltimore but that's not happening anytime soon.

Update - I bid on a premium balcony.  Called a very helpful Princess rep who told me that they could move me to any available cabin if my bid is accepted and if I didn't want to move I could keep the same cabin I had.  Honestly, any balcony is better than no balcony, though, and I would be saving over $600 through an accepted bid rather than if I had booked the same category directly.  Shall see how it goes!

This answered my question about not wanting to move in case bid was accepted.....thank you!

When on the Discovery just before Christmas, Princess had a big launch just before sail away, Tyra Banks came onboard a did some promo for smize ice-cream, they gave it out to everybody on deck and said it will be coming to Princess soon

I'm hoping the ice cream is onboard the Regal in April.

From the one's listed on Resort for a Day, without Kids I would choose RIU Reggae - about 20 min from cruiseport (MoBay), nice renovated hotel, nice beach and good food options, it's worth the cost.  With Kids, the Palladium has lots of pools for kids but it is a bit of a drive, I like the Hilton Rose Hall.

Anyone been to Hilton Rose Hall lately and can give feedback? Will be in Jamaica during our April cruise.
