  1. I can only speak for myself and my kids (2 & 3) and for us, it's not 'too little too late'....more like right on time. As Elite on Princess I'm not going over to NCL, Royal Caribbean, and certainly not Carnival. For others who sailed on Princess and don't want to change lines just because they had children, I would think they may also agree but I won't speak for them.
  2. Just order room service for breakfast and have it delivered to you as a wake up call. You can order the coffee and then go to the specialty dining area for suite breakfast.
  3. Why not just take a new picture? I took a selfie of myself and then snapped pictures of each kid for their medallion photo.
  4. Buy everything you'll need in Miami...much better prices and variety. I've been to several of these ports and haven't noticed any big box stores, etc. I was in San Juan last month and they do have a CVS and Walgreens within walking distance of the ship. I almost wish I did need something since both stores were so close!
  5. Your OM won't be blue...it'll be black if you're elite.
  6. There's a picture in this thread.
  7. We went to the passenger service desk to get it changed and made sure our TA wouldn't know we didn't actually use it. I'm sorry to hear that you weren't able to do the same but glad you enjoyed the breakfast!
  8. Our TA gifted us the balcony breakfast but after looking over the menu, we decided to just get the OBC. Twice I've had a Lido forward suite (L106) and the balcony is really windy unless the ship is docked so If you're going for the breakfast or dinner, I'd do it on a port day.
  9. I am hopeful for some shady spots in this area considering how sunny it is now. I was on a few weeks ago and the small splash whale pool wasn't usable (for us) b/c of the sun so we used the small splash pool on deck 16 that is totally in the shade.
  10. No, they just give you the Medallion..no extra packaging. I was told my 3 year old wouldn't receive a medallion, just a cruise card but when we checked in, I was handed a ruby medallion along with his cruise card.
  11. From my experience they are not flexible but it doesn't hurt to ask.
  12. My two HAL cruises were great! I thought the food was really good and liked how regular rooms have a sofa instead of needing to sit on the bed. Also enjoyed watching movies in the inside theatre.
