I guess it turns out that my friends are not "Vacation Catholics"... They don't go to church on vacation....

Hmmm, here I thought with B.B. King Blues band and all.... oh well...

Maybe it was the age of the movie. At the time it was 10 - 15 years old... Why ship/store film when you can have a collection of discs...

We will be in San Juan for Ash Wednesday next year. I am sure that the "senior" member of our group will want to go to mass, or at least get ashes. I assume that there are plenty of churches in San Juan.... Any suggestions as to which one?

We will be on Nieuw Statendam for Fat Tuesday. Does HAL do anything "special" for this week?

The Wonder is an older ship. The Little Mermaid was in the Buena vista theater. We saw a 1st run movie in the Walt Disney Theater where they put on the shows.
-
As far as the lack of a movie theater, since you can stream movies on you cabin TV, why have one? I know, it's not the same...
I was on Disney Wonder when we went to the theater to watch "The Little Mermaid". It was a Blue-ray with a projector....

I swear I remember a similar sign on Disney Wonder.

I have heard of this on other sites. Every time you look at a cruise a cookie is written on your system. The site sees that you have looked at that cruise several times and start raising the price. Try clearing your cookies, or look at the cruise on another PC.
Airlines do this too. It is designed to get you to purchase out of fear that the price will continue to go up.

I am not worried about "kids".... I am more concerned by "Young Adults" IE collage aged.....

I normally sail with an inside cabin. (I was blessed only once by the upgrade fairy). I am only in the cabin at night (or briefly to change my clothes). Who sits in their cabin all day anyway???? Granted if you have a real nice balcony... but most of the time I am on deck, or on excursions.

"Have you ever heard Radiohead's 'Creep' done as chamber music?" Radiohead???? COOL!:D:cool:

Discount... Darn. We are HAL newbies.... oh well.
At least it sounds like the Gelato is good.

Gelato - ummmmmmm:hearteyes:
Is it as good as the ones I got in Italy???

Thanks for the bar menu. Too bad they don't have spiked milkshakes. I had those on my Carnival cruise.

What is the walkup price for the Skyride?

Has anyone done this tour? Is it worth the $70?

One of the threads mentioned going to a cave in San Juan. Are the caves good? Where are they?

My HAL excursions list a "Rainbow Calypso" tram. Is this like the Hop on/hop off busses I took in Europe? What I mean is that there were stops along the route. You get off where you want and then just pick up another tram to continue on.
HAL is showing it at $29.95 per person. Is this a good rate? Are the trams any good? Do they run fairly frequently, or will I be waiting for the tram a lot?
Would renting a golf cart be better?
-
I think it would be cool to see, however my friends are thinks so/so... I hear they have a part-time visitor center... Is it worth bothering with? Is it easy to get too????
-
We will have an 80+ person with us. They still get around but.... We are leaning toward a tour, maybe even a private tour. Suggestion????
-
I am trying to decide between sticking with my friends in a golf cart, or taking an ATV excursion.
BTW: How many people does a golf cart hold? There are five of us.... all adults (well years wise... :p)

We had a hotel in Seattle both coming and going. It was about a mile from the train station (one of the cabbies was not happy on the short fare). It was also a block from a light rail station that we took from/to the airport. It was a pain dragging the luggage across the airport parking garage to the station...

Gloria Gaynor and Abba are NOT rock...
The question is what era they will be doing... 50s (Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Elvis), 60s (Beatles, Stones), 70s (Zeppelin, Rob Stewart, Bowie). ect...
