My friend and I were on the Sky Princess in January. We had lunch at Alfredo’s twice and enjoyed it very much. We thought the soup was delish. She had a veggie pizza (which she loved) and I had a Margherita Pizza that was always delish. We enjoyed tiramisu for dessert. We had no complaints. The first time we went we were seated immediately. The second time, they gave us a pager and we were seated in about 20 minutes or so.

We were on the Sky Princess on 1/13. Green Lane. We arrived at the port around 11:30 a.m. Gave our luggage to a porter. Got in the Green Lane and were on board in a few minutes. It was easy peasy.
There is nothing to worry about.

I don’t think so. Our last night was a sea day, but formal night was the night before. We were in port until 4:00 p.m. We had plenty of time to get ready.

We boarded the Sky Princess on January 13th around 11:30 a.m. We were in the Green Lane and it was the best. We were on board in a few minutes. Blue Lane was long. We were very happy!

I got off the Sky Princess two weeks ago today. I have avoided getting Covid so far, and I was hoping to cruise for a week and not get it. I got the most recent Covid vaccine in November. I wore a mask on the plane to Fort Lauderdale. I ALWAYS wore a mask while on an elevator. The ship’s elevators were usually very crowded. We were on Deck 15, so usually one of the last to get off. We always washed our hands before entering the buffet and tried to use our cabin bathroom, when it made sense.
I am happy to report that my friend and I stayed healthy.

We were in a connecting Mini-Suite on the Sky Princess last week. There was absolutely no noise coming from the other room. Didn’t hear a thing.

What category room were you in. I'm currently booked for two nights in a standard room which I believe is in the old section. Do I need to upgrade to a room in the newer section?
We were in the Tower (new section). We had a room with two queen sized beds. It was a nice sized room and the bathroom was big, too. If the difference isn’t too much, I would go with the newer section.

We stayed at The Riverside Hotel two weeks ago. The hotel is lovely. I would stay there again and can highly recommend.

Your shuttle was to the Port of Miami? OP asked about POM.
Oh, sorry, I misread that part. We took a shuttle to Port Everglades from the Riverside Hotel.
I can’t edit my previous response. Sorry. 🙁

Glad you had no problems!
Out of curiosity and information that might be helpful to others flying out of the FLL this high season: what terminal and did the guard ask which airline you were flying?
We flew out of Terminal 2. The guard did not ask our airline, just the time.
-
We flew home from FLL yesterday. Our flight was at Noon and we arrived at the airport around 8:40 a.m. (We were on the Sky Princess). I was holding my breath when the guard asked me our flight time. Fortunately, she let us go through. FLL was pretty calm yesterday, The last time I was there (February 1, 2020), it was chaos.

I just stayed at the Riverside Hotel on January 12th. We took a shuttle from the hotel to the Port for $12 each. Easy peasy.

We stayed at The Riverside Hotel on January 12th. It’s a lovely hotel on Las Olas Boulevard. Had dinner at the Boathouse Restaurant which was very good. We took a shuttle to the Port on Saturday morning. $12 each.
I would stay here again. I can highly recommend.- 2

When we bid for Reserve class there was two different prices for M6 and M1 so you knew which cabin position you were bidding for.
When we got the offer to bid, the minimum bid for the Forward Facing Club Class Mini-Suite was less than the minimum bid for the Club Class Mini-Suite. I am glad there was a distinction because I wouldn’t want the Forward Facing Mini-Suite due to the metal balcony railing. I prefer plexiglass so I can see the water when sitting down.

Hoorayyyyyy!! Glad you got them in time, too! Yup…lanyards were in there. We ordered “watch bands” bc we don’t really care for stuff hanging on our necks, and the lanyards were underneath them! Might never have noticed them if you hadn’t asked! (They really are boxed nicely, aren’t they?) 😆 Happy sailing!
Great! Thank you! Yes, they are boxed nicely. I took a picture and sent it to my travel companion. All I said was “Yahoo”. 😁. One week from today! 🛳️

antmaril — did you get yours today, too?
Yes! They came today. I didn’t take the box apart because it looks so nice. 😁. Are the lanyards in there, too? They must be, right?

Just logged in to my Princess site & manage your cruise.
When I scrolled down, there were lots of areas like dining, excursions, etc.
There was one about bidding for an upgrade. When I clicked on that, it said lets get started & when i clicked on that...it showed my original bids & status.
I will try that. Thank you!

Our cruise is in the beginning of February.
Upper suites have appeared to be sold out for a very long time but.....
I was given the opportunity to bid on an owners suite & a penthouse suite.
I bid on both a few weeks ago.
Just out of curiosity I just went back to check on my bids.
The owners suite says to either cancel or modify the bid.
The penthouse bid says PENDING !
Makes me think I just might be getting a penthouse :O)
What do you think ?
Fingers crossed for you. Can you please tell me how to check on your bid? TIA!

We haven't sail Princess in many years and are booked for 2025. When bidding, is it for a particular room or just a category upgrade? Real question is do you know the room number you are bidding on?
You do not know the room number. I currently have a bid in for a Reserve Class Mini-Suite on the Sky Princess in January. If I win the bid, our new cabin will be assigned and my cc will be charged. No going back. At least that’s the way I understand it.

I decided to bid on a Club Class Mini-Suite for our cruise in January. I only bid a little over the minimum, so I don’t have high hopes. If we get it fine, if not, that’s fine, too.
Now we wait. 😁

You are correct. It isn't plexi.
I don't know why I thought it was.
Oh well. I doubt we'll win the bid anyway.Sorry for the misinformation!
That cabin is huge though, as is the balcony.
Now I'm considering canceling my bid.No problem. I am still on the fence about bidding on the upgrade. I have had CC dining once and it was very nice to just walk up and be seated. I may bid, but only a little over the minimum. I feel pretty confident that they won’t put us in a CC Forward Facing Mini Suite, since the two categories are separate on the bidding email.
Thanks for your help. Enjoy your cruise.

I am pretty sure this is the case, but now that you are questioning me on it, I'm not going to say that I'm100%. I believe I've read reviews that have photos and the side balcony is plexi just like the other cabins in that location. We can search the cabin numbers and see if we can find a photo.
Thank you. I did a search on YouTube for a “Sky a Princess Forward Facing Club Class Mini Suite” and the tour of the cabin showed solid balconies, both on the side and the front. However, the video I was watching didn’t really say what ship they were on. I believe the cabin number was L103, but I am not positive about that. I would have to look again. Thanks for your help.

What is casual dining?

My friend and I were on the Sky Princess in January. We had the Plus package and enjoyed lunch in Alfredo’s twice. We thought the food was very good, as well as the service. The last time I was on Sky Princess (2020), we could go to Alfredo’s as many times as we wanted. I think we went twice.
