This was not my experience. I entered the "missing" info to access my account. A new account was NOT created. Member number still correct. Still showing platinum. All my upcoming cruises are correctly listed. The mystery continues, but obviously there are are varied effects.

This was my experience, as well.  I entered the missing information a few days ago and everything seems fine.  My upcoming cruise in January is there.  Ruby status.  All is well, thankfully.

Omg, are you serious? Yes I meant fast pass. OMG, so now you have to pay extra if you don't want to wait in a long line for rides. Disney must be out of their freaking minds.

Yes, the cost of the tickets is not the end of it.  There are additional costs to avoid the long lines.  The crowds at Disney have been terrible.  I can only imagine what they will be like this Christmas.  Honestly, I would skip it.  You will have a great time on the cruise.  I don’t think Disney will be worth it  - and I have been a huge Disney fan for decades.  My last trip was in November 2019 and I don’t think I will be back for a while.  Ordinarily, I would have another trip planned by now.

    Have fun!

My son and daughter-in-law rented a cabana and invited us to join them in enjoying it on one cruise we took together.  There is golf cart transportation to the cabanas, 4 lounge chairs, and air conditioner is on ~ but who wants to stay inside a 10x10 square cubicle when the beauty of Princess Cay is outside?  Bar & Lunch is served to the cabana. The price was at least $200.   It is expensive and unnecessary, in my opinion.  We have been to Princess Cay numerous times and we always choose two lounge chairs under a tree (plenty of trees) or move two loungers to the shade of a tree, and it's free.  We usually arrive early and leave early at Princess Cay, also, to avoid too much sun.  The line for the tenders back to the ship is very long and hot if you wait until the end of the day to return to ship.

I have done what you described and also rented a cabana (twice), as noted above.  The last time we were on the Sky Princess we decided against renting the bungalow and found two loungers in the shade and that was fine, too.   The bungalow was nice to have.  Felt good to have air conditioning available to get some relief from the heat, but we had a good time without it, as well.  As you say, it is very small and we certainly didn’t spend any time inside the bungalow.  It was nice to have a space for our stuff.  Is it necessary?  Absolutely not.  We have enjoyed Princess Cay with and without it.

When I got my booster, I had my card ready & the pharmacist said that they don't write the booster info on people's cards (this was at a Walgreens). So my card has no booster record written on it, but the booster is recorded in my records at my health department. I'm taking a print-out of that along when I cruise in a couple of weeks, along with my Covid vaccination card. I also have a QR code that they could scan with all my info, too. So I hope I'm covered!

Interesting.  I received my Booster at Walgreen’s and the pharmacist recorded it (handwritten) on my Vaccination Card as the third entry.

  5. I have cruised to Alaska twice - both times in an inside cabin.  The first time, I chose to be alone in the cabin rather than share with two other friends.  The second time, my travel companion was on a budget.  It was absolutely fine.  When visiting Glacier Bay, we were on deck the whole time.

I think a cabin in the middle of the ship, not too high up is best to help prevent motion sickness.  When I cruise, I start taking Bonine two nights before the cruise starts and take one every night before bed.  Works Ike a charm.

Good luck.  I am hoping to cruise to Alaska again in 2023.  It is spectacular.

  6. My friend has a casino offer that is good through April, 2024.  We are considering the Carnival Freedom to Alaska from Seattle in August, 2023.  The total cost for the two of us in an oceanview cabin is $697!    I have been to Alaska twice.  She has never been.  This offer includes an onboard credit and Drinks on Us.

We were on the Carnival Sunrise to NE/Canada in September, 2919.  While it wasn’t my favorite, most of it was fine.

I think we will book this.  Too good to pass up.

  7. Yes!!!!  I haven’t been able to log in for days.  I posted about this here a few days ago.  I have changed my password three times.  I did a LiveChat to no avail.  I have posted on the Princess Cruise Line Facebook page asking for help, but no one has replied.

I cannot log in from my iPad or my iPhone.

    It is so frustrating.  Why??????

  8. I have cruised to Alaska twice (HAL and Princess) and NE/Canada twice (NCL and Carnival).   My cruises to NE/Canada out of NYC included stops in New Brunswick, Halifax and Bar Harbor (NCL) and New Brunswick, Halifax, Portland and Boston (Carnival).  I think the itinerary you are looking at is lacking.  Take a look at other lines that include at least Portland, Boston or Bar Harbor.  I enjoyed these cruises very much!

Alaska is another level!  Spectacular!  I, too, am considering the Carnival Freedom in August, 2023.  My friend received an amazing casino offer for that cruise and we are considering it.  She has never been to Alaska and is on a budget.  This could be the way to go.  We are hesitant because we were on the Carnival Sunrise in 2019 (NE/Canada) and, while we had fun and enjoyed the itinerary, we weren’t crazy about the ship.  I don’t know how the Carnival Freedom compares.  I assume they would be very similar.

I just want to add that you can do Alaska without spending too much money.  I was in an inside cabin twice.  It was fine.  We were out of the cabin most of the time.  We took a bus to the Mendenhall Glacier, did the Mt. Roberts Tramway.  Most expensive excursion was the White Pass Railway and it was worth every penny.   Amazing!

Good luck with your decision.  Be sure to explore other lines.  You might find something that is perfect for you.

  9. I had a Caribbean cruise on Princess planned for January, 2021.  Of course, we canceled that before final payment.  At that time, I changed it to March, 2022.  I have since moved it again to January, 2023.

I need to see how it all plays out and that is going to take some time.
