  1. we used premier last month and never again. wile diving up to the 5 floor, there was a burned out car on one of the floors to start with. we got up there @ 10:45 and no one was up there at all. 11:10 the van came with return cruisers. by the time we got to the port, it was 11:45 and lines out the door and by the time they started to embark it was 12:30 but had to wait...1st come 1st served. when we park at the port, we are usually in by 10:30-11:00 and just have a short wait to get on the ship. here's the kicker now...very long line to disembark ( the breeze) and go through customs. got out to the premier pick up area about 10:30. after a 45 minute wait, I called premier and they told me that it would be about 30-45 minute wait from that time. after another hour wait, the van finally showed up and luckily we were able to catch this one as there were about 15 people waiting about now but they let us get on since we waited for about 11/2 hours. never again...I will park at the port because by the time I got to the garage to pick up my car, we could have been on alligator alley already. the only good that came out of it, was that it only cost us $56.oo plus tips. was it worth it? not really and it was hot standing out in the hot sun.

  2. it looked some of the passengers were going a little "overboard" ( no pun intended) with their supplies that they were bring on the Breeze last week and most likely carnival ships. it looked like some of them could have brought their drinks (water and sodas) in with a front end loader. everybody in one family (2 adults and 4 children) actually had 2 wheel carts loaded to the max being pulled by 3 of them. we couldn't believe that people could be that brazen ( or cheap)!

  3. I don't fly out but NO ! by the time you get off the ship ( with any luck) with the line of people also disembarking , there is no way to accomplish that. just going through security/customs ( leaving) takes some time and then there's the incoming traffic and then there's

  4. I have yet to see a deeply discounted price days before a cruise.i'm 3 weeks from an Alaska cruise and have yet to see any type of price drop. get it while you can or before a sell out I would say. tomorrow is my deadline to buy. north to Alaska!!

  5. Good day fellow cruisers. Living in Florida and having many cruise ports available to us, I have been booking my own cruises and hotels and knowing the ports and surrounding areas by driving there. We are thinking of going on an Alaska cruise very soon and having to fly to Seattle from Florida. my question is...would it be best to go through a travel agent or cruise line for this cruise and round trip flight because of not knowing when to leave and get there, which hotels to stay in the day before the cruise and when to leave for the return flight home or is it something that I still should be able to do myself? we would like to get there the day before the cruise and would like to know where to stay (hotels in the port area) and transportation to and from airport . happy cruising

  6. we had a lot of congestion in the mid garage last year as we were parking right as they disembarked and the garage was full. this year we are leaving our hotel just a little later and should have no problem. we always stay at holiday inn express right by the port but parking is also a gamble...no security.

  7. We live in Florida and a lot of people don't understand that when it gets in the 70's that we are starting to bundle up more so than the folks from up north(especially around the pools). Thanks for your thoughts and experiences though and we will go prepared....everything but a rain suit I will pack.lol.
