Not an E class fan here having done the Edge suez canal cruise.....suez canal cruise was great but edge pretty meh....we did have a sv cabin as  we would not have booked a cabin with a pull down window.....4 mdr's were ok but prefer the one main mdr....entertainment very good...missed the ensemble.....buffet food excellent.....high end shopping so did not appeal to us.......main pool layout lacked sunbeds that had shade......the flow of the ship is just wrong....been back on the Silhouette which we enjoyed more and looking forward to Equinox later in the year

Jim, you mentioned Iain loves mince n tatties [no wonder]......my mother wasn't much of a cook as both my parents worked long hours so my older sister introduced me to to Spaghetti Bolognese [in Glasgow in the 70's I was a teenager] so this new food was something else having been brought up eating spam, steak pie [made by the local butcher], liver [sorry but I could not face that now]...however I don't know when Iain left Scotland but ask him if he remembers Vesta Curries......a curry in a bag thing whereby you added the mixture to hot water....this came before the boil in the bag curries.........those were the days

just missed you guys on the November transatlantic as we are booked on the Equinox leaving 21 November......this will be the latest transatlantic we will have taken but we are hoping some xmas decorations will go up while we are on.

thanks for your review.....agree about the lack of shade at the pool....disagree about the four main dining rooms we still enjoy and prefer the MDR and having been on the edge we still discuss what we liked and did not like and to be honest we just didn't feel at home like we do on the S class ships......

but a valid point.....wonder if it was health checked before release because I am sure it will give people with sensitivity issues some problems because of the Zoom effect and I'm sure strobe lighting has also been used

we have done a couple of TA's leaving Europe direct to Miami and the sailings were superb with smashing weather........ looking at a TA that leaves Rome to FL with a stop in Bermuda. Having never visited Bermuda would we expect cooler weather since its going slightly North ?

We go back and forth on whether to do this trip and we watch you tube videos but then we think about the beaches in the caribbean and wonder.....whats the difference?

Looking at a cruise that ends in New York 7th May. Starts in Fort Lauderdale.

For people who may have done this type of cruise before can you tell me what weather to expect between Caribbean and New York, just rough idea on temperature at that time of year
