I like the change frankly. As a parent of 2 boys who are close in age but often get separated in the kids clubs and it is very stressful to worry about stuff like that. My boys want to play together. So I am excited. No more complaining from my little guy!!

If you are a Diamond due to the status share with a Celebrity then your kids will also be Diamond.
Doesn’t Celebrity also March children with their parents?
Celebrity doesn't allow children in Captain's Club. Once they are 18, if they are Diamond on Royal they will be Elite with Celebrity.

We were at Rose Island last October on a private charter. We actually saw a shark from the boat and it was swimming oddly. Our guide thought it was sick or injured. We later snorkeled in the area without issue. We loved that tour so much and want to go back next year. I hope this was pretty isolated.

If you are using a passport Bermuda only requires it be valid upon entry. So you are fine. They do not have a 6 month rule.

My only experience in Bermuda was in October at it was just like summer. Going back this year too. Found a cruise that stays for 3 days!!

You can also take the regular bus to Warwick and walk back to Horseshoe. That's what we did. When we got off at Warwick in the am we had the beach to ourselves. It was lovely. Early October.

Thanks for review and update on pricing!
was the current towards the cruise port or away from?
Looks like you had a nice seaweed free visit unlike our visit in February!
It was going away from.the port. And no seaweed. It was very clear. It was a great day for under $100 for a family of 4.

If you go to Blue Kay and snorkel, I'd appreciate a report! I'll be in Costa Maya in November and would love to find snorkeling from the beach. I guess based on the post below, I wouldn't have high expectations, and may book an excursion, but sometimes conditions change, so would still love to hear.
We did go last week. We had decent snorkeling. To the right and out towards the dock at the next beach club there was a good spot but the wind and current was very strong. My son and I had to be rescued by the lifeguard on the dock. 😲 To the left of the beach area once you go over all of the sea grass you will find small coral heads here and there with pretty fish. We saw sea urchin as well. The sea grass also attracts pretty fish. You will find big schools of fish everywhere. A lounger with a pad and 2 drinks was $12 for adults. Kids got a lounger for free. We ordered some food too and it was good. I liked the nachos, guacamole and the kids liked the quesadilla. Don't order a burger😉

I tried to sign up for the glass for 2 guests, but when I select more than 1 guest, it wants to charge me twice...very confusing.
You pay the price advertised for 2 sessions. Just put one name. It's like reserving a Cabana for 6. You just put down one name.

We have been able to play games in the My Time Dining room on sea days. Usually the time posted is 2 pm to 4 pm. We were on the Jewel last February and I remember playing cards in the room off the Windjammer in the afternoons.
Last week there was a card room near the 4 the floor MDR entrance that was available pretty much all day for card playing or games.

It was less than 10 minutes. Not sure about the bucket of beers but if you email them I'm sure they would tell you. It was a great place.

We took a taxi. It was $10 for 5 of us. Highly recommend this place! Good food and drinks which are half price at 4 pm. Otherwise cocktails are around$8. Pool and beautiful sand beach which is like a large swimming pool. It was a great place to spend the afternoon. We ate in the restaurant then moved to a table on the beach with an umbrella and didn't pay extra for that We were just there on Jewel of the Seas. Enjoy.

Wow we are 90 days out today and I just got home from work and was all fired up to complete our online booking etc. Looks like I am going to wait another day and call Royal tomorrow!!!
Guess there is no more rubbing it in to my wife that I am a Diamond and she is not!!! Nah Nah Nah!!! LOL
You should be happy that she is also Diamond and also your son. She can now rub it into you (like my husband did when he married into Emerald) that she didn't need to do all that hard work cruising!! Lol And I am surprised you didn't know that. It's amazing how many people lose out on benefits because they fail to read the fine print!

If we have late dinner we have a cocktail in the lounge then have one or 2 or 3 at the theater during the Diamond hours and we are good to go!

We boarded the MSC Seaside in Miami in October. How did you get on in Fort Lauderdale? I think you must have gone to Miami for Seaside and Equinox. 🤔 We had an aft South Beach Condo suite on the Seaside. Highly recommend!

The benefits link on this page clearly shows anything that is a suite that isn't a junior suite includes all benefits.

Do they have any carts that hold 3 people?
They recently got 2 new 4 person carts reserved for people with kids or person's with disabilities who would not be able to drive.

We have had this happen on every cruise we had a package. It is annoying. I'll give them cash if I want to tip extra.

At the risk of sounding really dumb, how do you email the concierge?
We have booked 1804 Panoramic Family Suite on the Freedom for January 2020. When I booked I was told it was comparable to a JS. I asked our TA and they said a "suite was a suite", unless it is a junior.
I am also worried because I have heard of other parties of two who had these cabins got re-booked when a larger party wanted the cabin. I would not be happy. I would rather grab a JS at a comparable price now then be stuck with a bad location later.
Why book this cabin? Because we are going on the ABC route and it is really hot out on the balcony. Plus, we thought the extra half bath would be a good bonus.
The email for Freedom should be FR_concierge@rccl.com
But I heard those cabins are definitely a suite. That's why they changed the name. They are calling our cabin a Family Suite now too. I have actually been in that cabin and you will love it! We toured it right after it was added to Freedom. It's an ideal family cabin and a little much for 2 but if you don't like to share a bathroom or even a bedroom you'll be golden!

Romina the Concierge replied and she said our suite (1054 on Jewel)

is considered a Family Suite with FULL suite benefits 😁😁😁 Very good news! If anyone is in doubt they just need to email the concierge with their reservation and she or he can check for you.

Just wondering if anyone can help with the outcome of the question for this if it is a FULL suite? I am looking for a Suite not for the Lounge bur for the double points as this will take us up to Diamond plus once we do the intended cruise.
The booking category is a VT on Jewel of the Seas.
Thanks in advance as I did call the Call Centre just before and they were 'unsure' like the previous comments on this post.
Cheers!

Thank you both. The snorkeling is what we are hoping do and it's even better to not have to pay for an excursion. Blue Kay looks less crowded from the pictures I have seen so that is also a plus for us. Just wanting a low key day without spending $200+ dollars for a family of 4. First thing me in Costa Maya and we are also going to Cozumel and Grand Cayman so we have lots of beach and snorkeling planned on this trip!

Apparently it depends on when you booked. 🙄Waiting to hear back from the concierge 😬

Therefore the price is not too bad, providing it remains consistent. I haven’t seen it mentioned whether the drinks are limited to certain types - $10 for two beers, weak margaritas or rum punches are not particularly a bargain - we were paying $15 for 6 beers in Costa Maya last week with no charge for loungers, (which is the norm as long as you are eating and buying something).
Is there another place you recommend that would also have good snorkeling right from the beach in Costa Maya? Or is Blue Kay the best spot? That is what we want to do the most. We have no problem ordering some snacks and drinks. But just didn't want to pay the AI prices. TIA

We buy packages all the time but never for the kids. Half the time we never get charged for them either.
