  1. can anyone tell me they have replaced the older tv's with new flat screens in all the cabins, also have hearing the MD room food is lacking , any recent EOS passengers have any food updates or pic's of the ship, hopefully some from the Bermuda this week will post??!!!

Just got back 1 week ago and they still have the old tvs in some of the cabins. We were in an inside and we didn't have a flat screen but it didn't matter because we aren't in our cabin very much. As far as the food, we found ourselves eating a little more often in the WJ for our dinner because we didn't like what was on the MDR menu on certain nights. In the WJ they have a stir fry section where you select what you want, they cook it right in front of you and it was delish! We were on an 11 nighter so we just split it up and did 4 nights MDR, 1 night Portofinos, 6 nights WJ. One thing I usually look forward to was the chilled soups in the MDR, well they also have it in the WJ. Everyone we talked to raved about Portofinos, but after eating there, I prefer Chops, by far, when we sailed on the Enchantment. There are so many options of food, you will definitely find things you like.

  2. We were on the 7 day New year's Cruise, and there was only one ice show, Spirits of the Seasons. Blades was not performed.

Richard Spacey is supposed to be on EX until June 7, then he is taking a two month break. Jimmy Rhodes is supposed to be covering Richard's break. Then, Richard is supposed to be returning.[/qu

Thanks for the update, hopefully things don't change between now and when we cruise on Sept 9th.

  3. One week and a day and we are outta Brooklyn, heading to Jersey, boarding Expplorer and heading to BERMUDA!!!!! EXCITED!!!

Anyone familiar with cabin 3610? That's what I have booked for myself, hubby and our two sequels aged 10 and 7.

Adventure Ocean a sure bet for kids entertainment?

Recommendations regarding sightseeing in Bermuda? We were thinking BAMZ, a cave (which one?) and a fort (which one?)... any info provided is greatly appreciated!

    BKNYChick,

When you return from your 7 night Bermuda will you please answer a few questions for me? We are going September 9th and taking first time cruisers with us and I am not sure if they will have 2 different ice shows? We just did an 11 night Caribbean cruise and at the beginning we saw Blades which was very good and toward the end of the cruise we seen Spirits of the seasons which was amazing! I'm hoping that they show both on the 7 night. Also, if you are able to find out if Richard Spacey is still going to be the Cruise Director on the Explorer in September and if he isn't who is scheduled to take his place. He is by far the best and most entertaining Cruise Director we have had on any cruise. Have fun on your cruise

  4. Thanks for the answers for the my time dining, I have a few more though.

If we set up a 7pm time slot, will we have enough time to eat and still get a decent enough seat for the 9pm shows in the theater? I can't remember how long it took us to eat in the MDR when we cruised before, I am trying to figure out a schedule for the ice shows, theater, and eating times.

To get a decent seat for the ice show, when do they start lining up?

  5. How many evenings do they have the ice shows on an 11 night cruise? Are they all the same show? How long do they last?

We've enjoyed the entertainment in the theaters on the Jewel and Enchantment, how is it on the Explorer?

This is the first we have done MTD, do we have to call for reservations each day or can we just show up and be seated at our convenience?
