  1. Thank you both for your response. I will seriously give this cruise some consideration. I will perhaps check with the travel agent to confirm the 1 change policy.
  2. Hi, A little about us, we are early 60's and always cruise with Celebrity, we just book a standard balcony as that is in our price range. We love Celebrity but have been looking at a cruise with Azamara for May 2025 (Islands of the Mediterranean 12 nights) We would only be able to afford inside or ocean view at a push but the price seems so high. 12 nights cruise only inside cabin just over £3000pp. I looked at same cruise for 2024 and around £800pp less. Does this price seem excessive for inside. Don't want to book if the price is likely to drop as here in UK we usually don't get price drops honoured. If I booked the inside and price dropped is there the possibility to upgrade at the new price?
  3. We were select dining on Eclipse last week and made reservations for the select main dining room at 8.30pm each night. Had card in room saying we had been allocated table on level 3 set dining for 8.30pm, worked in our favour as had a lovely table for 2 by the window with an empty table beside us for the week.
  4. Just came off the Eclipse, I have coeliac disease and was well catered for both in the buffet and main dining room. Dissapointed no cake on offer in coffee shop though.
  5. We have a Celebrity Constellation cruise for next July, but I to will look at other lines for future cruises.
  6. Topper was one of them, contrary to previous post we thought it was excellent as did most people at the show. Amade was another which is modern twist on Mozart, this was also good.
  7. Just came off the Eclipse, had a comedian / magican, a female singer called savannah, a male singer song writer and 3 production shows which were all excellent.
  8. Just returned from the Eclipse to Alaska. Although we enjoyed the cruise things have changed since our last Celebrity cruise on the reflection in 2019. I know they are trying to appeal to the masses but everything feels like it has been dumbed down. Food in main dining room was very mediocre with limited menu and very samey. The biggest difference is the maintenance of the ship, the cabin had rust on balcony as well as handrails that well worn, there was a shelf missing the laminate edging and a broken door on a cupboard. We noticed a hole in ceiling in passport bar where obviously there had been some sort of leak, and the furniture was also looking shabby. The staff were still great and the theatre shows were fabulous so we were happy with that aspect. We met a couple who had only previously sailed on Royal Princess and they were bitterly disappointed with the Eclipse and vowed not to come back to Celebrity on the back of that cruise. We are booked on the Constellation next summer and that ship is even older so not sure what will get on there.
  9. Our flights are 14.30pm out of Vancouver arriving at 16.54pm with the flight departing Calgary at 17.45pm. Just seems crazy they didn't allow more time to connect.
  10. We are also doing this itinerary flying with Westjet, l have been concerned with the return flights as only have 50 minutes to connect at Calgary. I don't understand why the tour operator didn't book us on an earlier flight from Vancouver as we have 8 hours from docking until flight departs. I envisage missed connection and lost luggage too.
  11. Hi DB, We sailed on Connie around 10 years ago and really enjoyed the cruise, we have sailed on the solstice class ships since. We have just reached select tier with the captains club. I understand she has not been refitted recently but am not too bothered by that, just glad to be cruising with Celebrity. Was surprised to get a cabin assigned 13 months out though.
  12. Can't believe my luck, booked and inside for next July on Constellation, the price dropped slightly so asked travel agent if I could upgrade to outside, she enquired with celebrity and was offered a balcony guarantee for a £105 pound more then the inside. Logged onto Celebrity an hour later and cabin allocated on deck 8. One very happy cruiser ☺️ Is this normal to get a cabin allocated so early?
