  1. For another $9, one can use the laundry bag special when it's offered. I do laundry at home, not on vacation.

That is definitely more convenient, but you'd probably have to send out 3 of those bags to equal the same amount of clothes as doing your own load. We have used the laundry service in the past because the washers and dryers always seem to be occupied every time we try to use them and give up.

  2. Is conditioning using it the same as practicing using it......like getting up at 6am and bringing your luggage from upstairs to downstairs in the house? Sorry; could't resist!;p;p;p;p;p

Oh Man, I am the worst at not proof reading. LOL Yes I suppose that would be what it is! haha

Thanks to all of you who answered my question. Hopefully it works smoothly, we're going to WDW after the cruise and would like to maximize our time there, we only have 2 days!

  3. We've never used self disembark before but are conditioning using it on our next cruise. What time are they usually calling you you to get off the ship when doing this? We will be leaving from Port Canaveral if that makes any difference.

  4. Since you have YTD you will likely get whatever is available. Or have long waits if you want something specific. I would hesitate to do YTD with that many people if you want to eat together every night.

For what it's worth, we had 16 people on the Magic (Late seating) and we had two tables of 8.

  5. I love sea days normally, but the Hawaii cruise was SO many sea days all in a row, with 4-5 days of excursions all packed in a row as well. The weather was not nice enough in January to do any outdoor activities and I did get bored at times. When we went (2014) it was before Journeys cruises started and they did not really have any extra activities that they do now on long cruises. I'm not saying it was horrible, of course we had a great time. All of the Hawaiian Islands are different and it is a fantastic way to experience the different areas of Hawaii all at once. But if you are excited about all of those sea days keep in mind that the sea days on a Hawaii cruise are not really the same as sea days in the Caribbean if that is what you are expecting.

  6. You need to know what type of fare you booked and the restrictions that come with that fare type. If you booked early saver, no name changes are allowed and there is a penalty for cancelling/rebooking. If you do this onboard, you won't technically be changing the booking. You would simply be giving the other person access to the other cabin where Carnival gives a separate key card. Doing that onboard doesn't solve your Cheers issue.

When we did it, we were also booked on Early Saver rates and they did not charge us any penalties. I think as long as the category is not changing it should be okay. Of course, different agents could handle it differently, but that was my experience.

  7. Yes, it's because you had Cheers. We were also given bottles of water at dinner when we had Cheers on the Magic. They told us it was included in Cheers. Sometimes they wouldn't bring it out during dinner, but before we left they would give us water to take back to our cabin.
