  1. If you had to have one lens to bring with you on your cruise what would it be? (Polynesia) I love my sonya6000 but only have the 2 kit lens. I loved my old Tamron 18 -250 on my old sony but don't want to pay 900. for as new one for my a6000. Any alternatives? thanks Great thread

  2. Hi everyone, hoping to hear your experiences in this Lanai room (372) Maasadam? What was it like when they lowered and raised up the tenders? noisey? Did you enjoy walking out to the promenade? Electrical outlets, we need to dedicate one to C-PAP machine, should I bring an extender plug -in for outlet so I can charge my camera's and computer? Is the coffe shop close by for early coffee's? We are booked on Oct 28, Polynesia, so lot's of tendering. Thanks so much

  3. Hi there, Anyone sailed the 14-DAY POLYNESIAN IDYLL on the Maasdam ?

I am new to cruising and to Holland American cruises . The Maasdam has a great French Ploynesia iteneriary Sept 28, 2018 and we are drawn to her for this reason. I would like to have a Lania room, and many of the snorkelling excursions I want, are not listed. ( Thoughts on booking snorkelling exc. with private companies others have referenced me too)

What else do I have to budget for on top of price? Drinks?coffe? food? Any suggestions are welcomed for a first timer.

Has anyone done a pre cruise stay with them on Tahiti?

Flights are from LA and I am from Toronto, any suggestions for cheap flight to LA? How is the flight to Pappeete?

Any comments on tendering in to the islands?

Many kids on board? We are mid 60's and Dutch, any Dutch traditional foods etc. Thanks so much.

Appreciate all your experienced help. Sounds like she has many repeat sailors.
