The letter said the FCC would come on the 27th. I just got the FCC credit by email at 1:37pm. That is a nice surprise.
Hi, How does the credit work? Does it expire? How do RCI keep track of it? Can it be applied to an existing reservation. I guess I could wait for my letter/email. I just missed a phone call from RCI. The voice mail indicated that they are reaching out to everyone to confirm receipt of the email.
I am on Mariner on Feb 18. I as SOOOO glad this didn't happen while I was cruising.

Thanks. I did receive the same email. However, I was not sure about how the credit is posted. I know they will reimburse for the cruise payment and shore excursions I booked. I was just curious about how the future credit is tracked and if there are any restrictions to that credit. I am also monitoring the link you provided.
Thanks again.

Hi,
I was booked on Navigator of the Seas, February 24th sailing which has just been CANCELLED...... Well, I am not surprised as I knew there was a risk since it was the first cruise scheduled after dry dock.
My questions are: How do they apply the future cruise credit? How does it appear on my account or do I have to call them to use it? Can it be used on an existing booking or do I need to use it on a new booking?
Thanks,
Kathy

I was also on the cancelled cruise. I knew the risks and was suspicious recently when I didn't see the cruise on their website. I have since kept my original flight and booked a hotel in Fort Lauderdale. At least I have 6 days on Mariner before the Fort Lauderdale Beach leg of this vacation. It could be much worse. I am currently staring out my window at thick snow coming down horizontally. No complaints when I am in the sunshine.

FYI
It is loud as the walls do not go all the way to the ceiling. Often, either a singer or art auction is going on during Diamond Beverage hours. When busy, overflow was directed to the back of the Wall we Dance lounge.
Still enjoyable though.

Yes. Deck 6 at the back of the "Shall We Dance Lounge"

Fabulous. Thanks.

What is the best way to bring wine on board for B2B cruises? Can I bring 4 bottles?
Thanks,

I see that Mariner is docked at terminal F and Navigator at terminal G on Feb 24. I need to get from F to G. Is it walkable?

Perfect. Thank you for this.

Hi, I am booked on Mariner and Navigator in February. Does anyone know which terminals these ships are berthed? I need to get from Mariner to Navigator.
Thanks,
Kathy

Thanks for the help. I will keep researching and exploring.
-
Thanks. Yes, I will. A roll call was created for this ship and date, however, it was a longer Canary Island cruise as far as I can see from the content. I guess that one was cancelled. I was going to create one but thought it may be confusing having 2 with the same date/ship.

Hi all,
I will be on Explorer of the Seas leaving from Southampton on Oct. 5, 2019. We will be visiting Vigo, Gijon, and Le Havre. The cruise planner currently has no excursions for Gijon and only 2 for Vigo. As I have not been to these ports I am interested in excursion recommendations. Note, I am not interested in going to Paris as I was there this year.
Thanks,
Kathy

I see a difference of $1000 CD for the same stateroom.

Cold soup was not offered in the MDR on the last few cruises I took. (Indy, Brilliance, Rhapsody)

Does anyone know if it is possible for a Canadian to book on Royal Caribbean's UK website? Normally I book on the American website in CAD dollars. I was looking for a specific cruise out of Southampton and the UK website has a significantly different price.
-
Update: I emailed Royal Caribbean and received the following message:
Dear Kathleen:
Thank you for your email. My name is Doug and it is my pleasure to help you today.
I checked your invoice and agree with you – the type of Guarantee you have does not appear on the guest version. However, I can confirm that you are assigned to an Ocean-View Balcony Guarantee upgrade for this cruise. I am sorry your invoice does not show this explicitly, but you will have your own private view of the sea on the Navigator of the Seas!
Kathleen, thank you for choosing Royal Caribbean International. We look forward to welcoming you aboard the Navigator of the Seas in February and helping you settle in to your Ocean-View Balcony stateroom!
Sincerely,
Doug Simpson

NAVIGATOR OF THE SEAS
Departure Date: Itinerary: 24 FEB 2019
5 NIGHT WESTERN CARIBBEAN CRUISE
Stateroom: Description: GTYAbove was copied from the PDF. No indication of the type of stateroom.

I do have a copy. It indicates: Stateroom: GTY.
No category stated. I am going to call to clarify.

Hi all,
I recently changed from an inside stateroom to a GTY balcony on Navigator of the Seas. On my receipt it doesn't actually state that it is for a balcony. It simply says GTY. Is this normal? I don't usually book Guarantees and am not familiar with how it shows on the receipt.
Thanks,
Kathy

Hi,
I am cruising on Rhapsody on Nov 10 out of Venice. Prior to the cruise I am in the UK and Venice for 9 days. I would really like to do some laundry prior to the cruise but the hotels I am staying in do not have laundry services. I have never taken advantage of RCI laundry services. My question is are laundry services available on embarkation day? If so, is it all "a la carte"or can I do a bag of underwear/socks etc.?
Thanks,
Kathy

Hi all,
I have a cruise booked on Navigator of the Seas on February 24, 2019.
I have been monitoring the price and noticed the cruise price dropped for the same cabin category as I booked. The total payment dropped by approximately $100. I thought that it was worth a call.
A Royal Caribbean representative told me that most of the decrease was due to the taxes going down. He indicated that the taxes will always remain the same as the original booking. I don't quite understand this. I was also told to contact my local taxation office for an explanation. REALLY. I thought the taxes were a percentage of the total. I was hoping someone on cruise critic has a better explanation.

Hi all,
I am having difficulty seeing some of the details of my booked cruises. On Royal's old website I was able to see linked reservations, detailed payment history and etc. I am having a hard time finding the information on the new website.
For example, I booked a cruise on line and received an email from Royal confirming that they received my deposit, have obc, and they have provided the booking number. However, I don't have a copy of the detailed receipt. I can always request one but I thought I would be able to see it on their website.
Am I missing something?
Thanks,
Kathy
How often cruises cancelled
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
I am just curious if anyone has an idea about how often cruises are cancelled. I had booked a Mariner departing Feb 25. (cancelled for charter). I rebooked on a shorter Mariner in Feb and also Navigator. Navigator has since been cancelled as well.
This is the first time I have experienced a cancelled cruise. I am going to hold my breath until I get on Mariner....
