  1. Wow. Thanks so much for the response. I will definitely apply it to one of the other cruise. Take care.
  2. Thanks for the speedy reply. In my case I wish they didn't do that as all 3 of my booked cruises have FCC applied to them already so I would need to book another one which I do not want to do as I have some land based vacations as well. Unless, they have also changed the ability to combine more than 1 FCC/cruse. (Wishful thinking) 😀
  3. I have a question about the cruise with confidence future cruise credit. I received a credit for a cancelled Anthem of the Seas cruise from March 2020. I have applied the credit to another cruise on Anthem that will sail in June 2022. Of course, the credits are for each individual and I was able to use the whole amount for my cruise fare. However, my husband (as the second discounted guest) was only able to use a portion of it and has a residual $490 FCC to be used at a later date. I was told that he will receive this $490 FCC as a new certificate after the June 2022 sailing. However, he just received the email below. I already have a few cruises between February 2022 and June 2022. I was not really interested in another cruise before September. I plan on calling Royal Caribbean to clarify and just wondered if anyone else has experience with cruise credits that have residual amounts. Below I have bolded a statement on the Royal Caribbean communication that seems to reinforce the usual process is to issue the residual amount after the cruise is complete. I hope this post actually makes sense to someone who can answer the question. Take care all, Kathy Dear Guest, We've reviewed your new booking and noticed you have a remaining Future Cruise Credit balance for your Cruise with Confidence credit. Please find the remaining value, the terms, and how to apply your credit below for your reference. Booking ID Guest Name Certificate Number Certificate Amount Currency Sail By Date (30 Sept 2022) Expiration Date (April 30 2022) There is more details provided and also the following: Here are some details and the terms & conditions of your FCCs: Valid on bookings created on or after March 6, 2020 and existing bookings not yet paid to full. Any booking made using this FCC must be used for a sailing that commences on or before the sail by date indicated above and must be redeemed by the expiration date in the certificate. If the FCC is not redeemed on or before the expiration shown above, the certificate will automatically expire and have no value. Future Cruise Credits are per person, per booking, and valid only for the person noted above. FCCs are redeemable towards cruise fare only and are not valid on Complimentary cruises, Incentive bookings, and Charter sailings. All guests are responsible for taxes and fees, where applicable. Royal Caribbean International reserves the right to void the FCC Savings amount if the guest named above receives another form of compensation, including claiming through our travel protection. If there is a remaining balance once you redeem your FCC, you'll receive the balance in a new FCC after you complete the sailing it is used to sail on. FCCs are only valid for the cruises on Royal Caribbean International ships, are not transferable, and may not be redeemed for cash. The Cruise with Confidence FCC cannot be redeemed to repurchase the same sailing where the original booking cancelled. Additional terms and conditions apply.
  4. Antibodies develop when you are exposed to someone else's blood through transfusion, miscarriage, or childbirth. It is likely Royal Caribbean requested males and will ask them their transfusion history. They will select one who has never been transfused themselves and are less likely to have antibodies that would react negatively with the patients blood cells. (cause a transfusion reaction) Women are more likely to have antibodies due to exposure to other blood groups during child birth. I think they are going with the odds and hoping to have a successful crossmatch quickly.
  5. I have 5 cruises booked in the next year. Anthem in March, Indy in May, Allure TA in Nov, Navigator Mar 21, and Oasis Mar 21. I monitor all of them constantly and none have gone down. I have balcony staterooms booked and see pricing for Guarantees similar to what I booked by reserving a stateroom. Bottom line, no price drops for me yet. 🤞
  6. Following. I am on the return trip on Allure. Very exciting and thanks for taking the time.
  7. Update as of today, Feb 8. Looks like a full refund is coming. I guess they reconsidered their strategy. I hope it works out for you. Newest coronavirus message posted on Royal Caribbean website.
  8. I love it. Staff seem less stressed, food comes hot and I am not sitting for 2 hours or more each night for a meal. I use that time to enjoy other venues on the ship.
  9. Fabulous review. I am so glad I am on the same Allure TA in November with you. I won't have to take many photos. 😀
  10. Wow. I have been to Labadee several times and never experienced waves or wind. It has always been very hot and the water relatively calm.
  11. Yes. Congratulations on your health journey. That is fabulous and you looked great in both photos but excess weight does contribute to so many health issues. I lost 50 pounds and have kept it off for several years now. But your journey is exceptional and inspiring. I love those BEEF sandwiches and maybe will have one with you on Allure in November. Can't wait, my mouth is watering. Kathy
  12. The kebob place looks amazing. We are in Miami a lot and would love to know where it is...... My husband would be in heaven. The best kebobs I have had (doners) were from a Turkish take away place in London. Thanks. Kathy
  13. Thanks for the lovely photos. I sail on Anthem in March and can't wait. Very exciting.
  14. I see lots of comments from. people who know how ships and thrusters etc. work. I was just wondering who would have control of the ship at the time? Captain or port pilot? Who makes the decisions?
  15. Likely due to Easter Sunday being April 12. Possibly a busy weekend for travel. My friends ran into this last year and flew back from Fort Myers. I had booked my flights early. It was much cheaper for them to book a car and drive there for departure.
  16. I have 3 booked and all say that there is no payment due. I called to make the final payment for a March cruise.
  17. If I recall correctly the instructions for using the ships wifi includes putting your phone in airplane mode. A tiny piece of paper with instructions was given to me upon embarkation. I do think it odd that your provider sent you a message about overage. My provider sends me a text message at the moment that I am "roaming" and prompts me to purchase a roaming package. It is a great reminder.
  18. I did a quick google search and found an article about NCL banning door decorations and citing them as a fire hazard. I work in a hospital setting and know that we have been cited for a fire hazard by the Fire Marshall by having combustible materials (paper) in hallways and doors that are deems a hazard. (they were simply temporary signs/flyers for temporary way finding etc. ) Always seemed strange to me because there are many magazines etc around that are also combustible too. Maybe they were cited in some sort of safety inspection too.
  19. Right. I forgot about that. On previous cruises I made all of the bookings and was able to link them. I am still waiting for my friends to request a link to my reservation number for regular dining room seating. I assume I can then book Chops +1 as you suggested. Thanks for the response.
  20. Hi all, I am cruising with some friends. There will be 3 staterooms and 6 people traveling on 3 separate bookings. We would like to book Chops+1 and be seated at a table for 6. If our dining is linked will the specialty dining reservations also be linked? If not, can I book for 6 on my reservation and ask my friends for reimbursement. I have't done this before and appreciate advice. Thanks, Kathy
  21. Thanks so much. Great advise. I will book the 9/11 museum. I will definitely uber to midtown. Do you suggest taking the PATH and ferry on the weekend or uber from the hotel to the 9/11 museum too...
