I just got off the Gem( had ubp and udp) and all they give me, Not that it matter, was a bottle of wine... I don't think you can carry it over to other cruises... It would be nice if they give more obc... :):):)

CONGRATS!!!!!!! What a better way to start(wedding) then on a cruise...... I just got off the Gem yesterday... POST CRUISE BLUES!!!! And the best way to answer your ???????? is Relax and cruise like a Norwegian.... FREE STYLE!!! Do what you want , when you want... NCL is the best... IMHO... As many times as you want..... As many places as many times you want.. You could make 2 res in one night and do the same thing the next night and so on.... I'm on a 9 day in Jan and got it... I also did a cruise in Jan 2014 and Nov 2014 and got it(was never hungry) LOVEDIT!!!!:):)

Yes, Go as many times you want... If you want to go twice in one night you can do that to....LOL..I love it... It's the BEST!!!!:):)

I had it the last 3 cruises. And I enjoy Not having a BIG bill at the end.... If I use it or not.. Sometimes it paid for itself and sometimes not... Just nice not to worry about the BILL at the end....:D:D

This is too funny!! I'm cracking up reading this and at the same time dreading returning from my cruise and I don't leave until Dec 13th!!

I hope you have a safe cruise.... I leave on the Gem for a 9 day in Jan and I'm just getting over the POST CRUISE BLUES from a cruise on the Gem in Nov.. I've been Slowly getting BETTER...( I keep on saying "YOU CAN DO IT") Just hope I don't have a RELASPE after the Jan cruise..:):).

Thank you both--fantastic suggestions. BTW my NCL account says $50 OBC credit and then a ? I do want to go on the cruise but hate the idea that it was sold almost like a "bait and switch". I expected more honesty from the cruise company. I generally use one of the larger internet companies and have never had a problem.

Give them a chance... Yesterday, Monday(1st day after along weekend and BLACK FRIDAY) Maybe you will have a better out come calling today... I think this can be worked out.. The bad side is it takes alot of PHONE TIME!!!:mad::mad: YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!:):)

op - i am sorry your experience in the suites was not up to standards. I too would have been disappointed with your experiences

 

our first experience in a suite was ok, but not fabulous. Our butler did the basics, but did not do anything above and beyond. Not to say he was bad, he was just not great. The concierge on that trip was awful. He pretty much ignored us, even when we had requests. We chalked it up to the fact we were in the cheapest suite, and just dealt with it.

 

Now, compare that experience to our last 2 and there is really no comparison. We adored adrian, our concierge on the epic, and also loved leo our butler on that cruise. Both made that cruise amazing. No lines for anything thanks to adrian, and leo was a psychic anticipating our needs about the same time as we needed them! We were in the lowly cheap suite on that cruise too, so that was when we realized it is not the category of the suite that matters, it is the staff working them.

 

We also had a great experience with out butler lucky on the getaway. We requested the types of snacks we liked, and he brought them. He listened to us, which right there, is what makes a good butler, or a good service person in general. We tend to ask for what we like though, and are not afraid to speak up. I think that helps a lot when you are receiving top end type of service. Don't be shy, they want to know how to make you happy! :)

I been in a number of suites and I would not go back to anything less then a mini suite(Just me)Good, Bad, up or down your on a cruise.... HOW BAD CAN IT BE!!!!!! It's All about having FUN and the most important thing is to RELAX!!!! ENJOY YOUR CRUISE AND HAPPY TOM TURKEY DAY!!!! Be safe!!!:):)

Or forgetting that everyone is going to have differing opinions about the same subject / situation. Nor everyone has to agree with other person's opinion / thoughts.

 

I'm of the opinion that a 2 night CTN is enough time to enjoy an interior room let alone a suite. Nor do I think the best food / cuisine is going to be served at 2 night compare to a 4 day or more. Even the activities and entertainment is not going to be the same level as well but you what know what - The heck would I know? I'm the type of person who lowers their expectations on vacation and life because fantasy doesn't match reality nor does every thing runs as smoothly as it should. But thats me, everyone else probably have expects more. * shrug*

Last week on the Breakaway, no sticker on the card, we had to go to the Headliner Comedy club to get the sticker on.

I was on the Gem Nov 9-15... And they made it so EZ... It was great...:D

The sticker will be on your card when you get it... Check your bill the 1st sea day to make sure... YOUR GOING TO LOVE IT!!!! Be safe...;);):):)
