  1. My suggestion is to have another cruise ready to board no more than 6 months in advance so that you have a new cruise to plan and dream about. To make it through from Sept (our last cruise) to April (our next cruise I had to throw in quick weekends to Philly and New York:p It is the only way I can get up in the morning with my "post cruise blues." A new country song perhaps????:D

You are so right... So to get over the POST CRUISE BLUES I booked a 9 day on the Gem on Jan 21st... But still got the POST CRUISE BLUES till then!!!!;);););)

  2. only asking this because my hubby is not very good with the computer, but are you "new" to this? If so, do you have someone that can help you? I know when i started learning the computer 10 years ago, i was constantly calling my kids.

    now that"s funny!!!!!:d:d:d:d

  3. I have been watching a cruise on the Breakaway, from NY Jan, 31, 2016 that was posted on NCL site. Now, NCL has removed it from the site, but other cruise booking sites, still list it.

What is the deal? I searched by ship and the are some big holes in the calendar.

    Thanks!

I see what you mean... I've never seen that before... We always do a cruise in Jan and I was looking at that one.... :(:(

  4. I know many of you have the good fortune of traveling with larger groups of friends and family but on our first cruise there is only going to be two of us.

My question is: When you go spend the day on the private island GSC do you think we can both go swimming and leave our stuff on a chair or should we take turns to watch the stuff?

Didn't you hear..... They now have the ncl crew carrying guns... Things have been stolen.... And the chair hog are so bad they have shoot to kill orders.... LOL... Only kidding... It's just as safe as the ship.... I hope you have a good cruise and enjoy yourself.... Be safe and GOD BLESS!!

  5. I am a travel agent and I booked a group of 7 cabins with 21 people leaving on the Breakaway 8/31. One cabin is a couple and the girlfriend can't make the cruise. I called NCL to cancel her off the reservation and was told that the passenger that is still going will have to pay an additional $1400 penalty on top of the full fare that he has already paid. Has anybody ever heard of this policy? I don't recall ever seeing it posted on CC. He asked for my advice and I am at a loss for words. If he just say's at check in that she couldn't make it will they charge his shipboard account? One reason he wants to have her removed from the reservation is so he can purchase the UBP for one.

I've been on a couple of cruises and this just doesn't sound right.....I can see given up the MIA pass... But were did the $1400 come in??????

  6. I just got to say what GREAT feed back this young lady got from all of the CC peeps....That's why I love this site....Good job to all... With that done.... I'm a partyer and can drink....Beer mostly, but the price of a beer being 6.50 a beer and 5 beers for 35(they throw the 6th in for free)That's nice of them....LOL... It up to you and the bf... once you get on the ship the beers flow... I've had a bill of $1800(licker only) on a 9 day cruise.. So if you party the UDP is the way to go(You don't have to buy it the 1st day. but you must buy it by the 2nd.. and the 1st nite goes to UBP) Check it out... About the Jewel.. I been on her 4 times.. Out of NY when she was up here... You will love her.. From inside cabin to the havens she just a GREAT ship(and so is ncl)....Have a GREAT CRUISE.... Be safe BUT MOST OF ALL GOD BLESS!!!!!;)

  7. Books...especially self-published books...get high reviews because those reviews are often cherry picked by the publisher/author. Show me the independent high reviews.

As you wrote, it may have been "smarter to tell my titles" however, I'm guessing that a person who chooses the smarter path also wouldn't choose to be so dismissive, condescending, and arrogant toward potential purchasers in what is obviously a niche market.

I'll bet you just saved a lot of "silly drive-by commenters" from spending their money and wasting their time.

SeaShark my brother(Or sis) I know you mean well But you come across alittle rough sometimes... Maybe it's just me....

Not looking for a battle... Just sayin!!!:D

  8. I know NCL has already address the problem( That's between Chip and ncl).... And I know Chip has been informed..I guess SORRY is not enough.. It's like anything else.... A learning thing... Right, wrong what ever... Lets fix it and go on......So it NEVER happens again...... God Bless us all!!!!:)
