  1. Dealing with the Celebrity website is almost as bad as calling Celebrity and waiting 43 minutes on hold for someone to answer only to tell you that they can't help you.

We are booked on April 5 and April 10 Constellation sailings. We did our online check-in for April 5 sailing and requested luggage tags. About 10 days later we did our online checkin for the April 10 sailing but did NOT request luggage tags as we won't need them as we are in the same cabin on both sailings. We never got luggage tags for the April 5th sailing, however, we did receive them for the April 10 sailing:confused:

  2. We had 4 in a Royal Suite on Summit. Two people in the bedroom, 1 person on the sofabed in the living room, and 1 person on a rollaway that they put in the "dining" area. My adult nephew slept on the rollaway in the "dining" area and used to joke all the time that he had to sleep in the kitchen. Needless to say, he was the one who always let the Butler in with breakfast :D

  3. I know it's not a big deal, but sometimes it's the little things that really annoy me.

Celebrity goes through this big production of adding Elite Plus to the Captain's Club membership. We are Elite Plus - My Celebrity shows me as Elite + so I know Celebrity knows my Captain's Club number is Elite Plus.

When I looked at our Cruise documents online for our April sailing, we're listed as Elite.

Not a big deal, I know, but why would Celebrity not get this right on your cruise documents?

They are really, really bad with the details.

  4. I'm fortunate enough to be able to cruise in either a Royal or Penthouse suite BUT I usually cruise with friends who are not booked in a suite. I wonder if I'll still be able to eat dinner with them in the MDR or if I will be "forced" to eat in the "Suites only" area??

  5. true 45,

Nice to see some "happy" reviews. We're sailing on the April 5 and April 10 sailings. Quick question re self-disembarkation. What time did you leave the ship? We have an 11:40 am flight out of FLL and are sailing in the PH so I know we'll be one of the first groups off the ship and I'm sure we'll be off the ship by 8:30 am, but just wondering if we should do self-disembarkaton?

    Thanks so much.

  6. The room service menu that is in the blue folder in your cabin is different for suites and regular cabins. Last year we were in PH on Summit and friends were in Balcony cabin. We had different items listed in our "blue book room service menu" than they had in theirs.

  7. This isn't quite true.

There are three sizes of Martini glasses at the Martini Bar. All sizes are guestamations.

    1) 2 oz sample sizes, used in sample flights (you buy as a set for $16 and get 6 drinks.

    2) "Standard" 6 oz martini glasses. It's a real Martini glass, but not oversized. There are 4 drinks that are in this size glass included in the classic package. Generally seemed to be used on the $8-$10 drinks, but did seem to have full pours

    3) Oversized 8 oz martini glass. They use these on the more fru fru drinks like a rainbow or lychee martini and cost $12-$13 it seems.

All of the drinks seemed to be high quality and while the bartenders varried they made tasty drinks.

I am not a lush. I didn't spend that much time there, maybe a drink or rarely two before dinner on a numbe of nights over our month onboard Connie in Nov and Dec, but we've been in the hospitality business so we notice this stuff.

    Happy Sailing,

    Jenna

This isn't quite true either. On our last 2 Summit sailings, every martini in the Martini Bar was served in the standard clear martini glass. They had about 2 or 3 of the "larger sized fancy blue" martini glasses but they were never used -- we had the premium package and all our martinis were served in the standard size glass. I prefer the larger sized fancy blue glass as it makes it feel like you are drinking a bigger martini - and it seems a bit special. The standard glasses are of the quailty that you would buy at Bed Bath & Beyond!
