Hi ,I have just returned from 10 days Greek island on the constellation .We had a 2 hour flight from Manchester at 8am only to arrive onboard at around 4pm .The transfer took 3 hours ,the driver seemed to be going as slow as he could . I understand Venice’s concerns about the volume of ships arriving and their environmental issues but whilst we were retuning to Venice on Thursday the 20th of July there was a Azamara ,MSC and another ship in their dock system . If they are going to use a new port they should ensure it has the facilities and resources to ensure their customers can get to the port without any hassle. It’s a good job they weren’t travelling on a Sunday as. Ravenna taxis don’t go into the centre on Sundays all 20 yes 20 of them .I have just had a call from a relative travelling on the same cruise in October who has just found out her transfers are only to the ship and not the return to Marco Polo airport .Celebrity have charged them $600 one way I’m not sure if this is for 2 of them or 4 but still an unwanted extra cost . We had to leave at the early time of 6-30 am for a 12-15 flight ,we won’t be travelling from Ravenna again to much hassle . The cruise was on the whole good ,nice ports ,good food very good customer service .Entertainment so so but one great lady singer CE CE Teneal we saw her in the theatre then she did a great show in one of the bars standing room only .Also a great Comedian did a late show for adults only ,she was funny without being vulgar . But the musical shows are not for us to loud we prefer more intimate venues . Years ago we used to love Michael’s bar when the pianist would take requests and you could sit up at the piano .We noticed a maximum of 6 people a night when passing by ,what a waste of a venue that all could enjoy . As you must be aware this was a very hot cruise but our fault for booking a Greek cruise in July ,hope all onboard are safe and enjoy their time aboard but back to Azamara for us .

We were on the quest last year and off the ship ,the 2nd to last bus from Porto didn’t arrive ,we called the emergency number from the bus and got the bus driver to speak to them telling them were we where and our estimated time back to the port and thankfully the ship waited for us . So pleased I had but the number into my phone .
  4. Hello ,we’ve cruised with celebrity 4 times and will be again in July this year , but have never received an email offering us the option to bid for an upgrade .Is this due to us not having had enough cruises with them ? any information would be greatly appreciated thanks in anticipation .

  6. Thanks we have been looking at that option .Just noticed that UK passengers will have tips charged but not Australian ones. Also I was looking at the drinks package but have read that the price doesn’t include a 18% surcharge at roughly £120 per night for two plus a service charge is quite steep we would pay the same on Cunard . I see the Queen Mary will be in OZ it’s an option but didn’t really want to bring lots of evening wear due to weight restrictions plus the climate . Well more research ahead .Hope you enjoy you cruises.

Hi all, we are looking to book an Australian cruise for January 2023 .We have cruised with P&O uk earlier this year and found the entertainment and food choices quite poor ,I also am worried that their seems to be more quad rooms .This would also have an impact on sea days around the pool .We haven’t sailed with Princess but family members have and whilst loved them years ago say their standards have dropped ie food quality. We usually cruise with Celebrity and recently with Azamara and no you can’t really compare as the costs vary greatly .But could anyone who has recently cruise with either please give some feedback to enable us to choose.There are other options but they don’t fit in with our family who live in Brisbane . if it’s a cheap and cheerful that’s ok but if it a cheap cruise due to service food and entertainment then we will have to rethink . We cruised Australia years ago and enjoyed the mainly Australian passengers on a RCI ship.which made for a lively and friendly holiday. Thank you anyone who takes the time to reply .

  10. Hi, I have just been looking at the points earned on my account,it shows those taken on Azamara and Celebrity but not any of those taken on RCI.I thought they belong to the same company ,I’m sure many will know the answer to this . Thanks in anticipation of you sharing with me

  14. Hi sorry if this is not the appropriate place to ask this but although I have been on the site several years I struggle to use it . We are on the quest on august 30th and we’re wondering if anyone has arranged a visit from St Jean de lux to st Sebastian. We have done this via Bilbao previously . Also we have tried calling Azamara to book the speciality restaurants but can’t get through ,the website says you can book online but we haven’t been able to . Any advice greatly appreciated. thanks

Thank you ,no I never received one I have since requested and received one dated 5 months after the originally booking .But as others have stated this would not cover me for illness.My issues are all the misinformation surrounding the booking . No one said the booking if cancelled would not cover the flights . One adviser said I could delay cancelling and see if my husband then tested negative the day before travel. Another said Azamara won’t let you travel if you have had Covid 10days prior to embarkation. I think this may take a long time to get resolution , Thank you to those who have shown the caring side of CC

  17. Thank you ,I agree this was my understanding at the time of booking in fact the adviser said if I booked the flights myself then to quote “this would then not constitute a package “the inference being I was booking one .I have spoken directly with Azamara and they are looking into it .

Thank you we were told categorically that Azamara do not use budget airlines so we couldn’t fly out of our chosen airport .Also we booked another cruise yesterday and the TA could not see anywhere in the TC’s where if you have had Covid within 10 days of travel you cannot board with Azamara .Now the dilemma is Azamara giving our TA incorrect information or is our TA interpreting incorrectly.

Due to cruise on the pursuit 31st May ,but sadly my husband just tested positive for Covid .When we booked we wanted to fly from Liverpool but we’re told Azamara don’t use easy jet or Ryanair so would have to use Lufthansa at extra costs but more important two lengthy travel days with stops in Frankfurt .We booked with the understanding it was a package covering all aspects of our holiday . Our TA have checked with Azamara today who confirmed our flights will have to be recovered from our insurance company ,why ,our contract is with Azamara as our TA kept stating . She said their cruise with confidence only covers change of ports or cancelled flights that they would rearrange .Fuming as they also said if you have had Covid within 10 days of boarding you cannot travel with them even if you then test negative .Whilst from a safety point of view I think this is good for all passengers ,they need to let us know we have had days of anxiety thinking if we tested on Monday and were clear we could still go . Azamara sold this as a fly cruise not a cruise only so why isn’t it a package ? Anyone know ?can I claw back costs on my credit card as they are stopping me from boarding .So not providing the service I paid for ,the flight costs are approximately a third of the total package . I am posting this so others are aware if cancelling because of Covid they won’t be refunded from Azamara. Anyway rant over just getting ready to put clothes back in the wardrobe .
