thank you
I did hear on Anthem that an Oasis was coming to Sou. Also 2 ships and with the news about Amsterdam, it's a possibility.
Can't see them going back to Harwich again.

We live in the best place in US (unless you absolutely hate snow) 🙂And we have so many cruises from many ports, we do not even fly/drive to Florida for cruises anymore.
As for other lines... We did sail with 8 lines up to pandemic, but we hit D in 2018 (before 2016 we only had 5 cruises with Royal) ... and started cruising more and more with Royal out of Northeast.
Our first cruise after restart was on Celebrity Edge as it was the very first ship sailing from US (Florida).... and it was a great cruise.
Then 12 (I think) now are all with RCI from NJ or Baltimore.
I would move to Portland. Just for Holy Donut's.
I took a box back to the Schooner Bar staff. I was a hero the 2 weeks I did it.

I'm not a fan not so much because of the looks, but because they won't match all the old ones.
You need a separate shelf to put them on

On the new blocks, I think they look like a postcard that's been photoshopped

When I restarted in Oct 2021 I had 378. I hit 700 in October 2022. A mixture of solo/ solo suite and their double points promo.
Same here. I was 210 at start back. First 2 cruises were on Anthem 8 night in a GS b2b. I got 96 pts and 2 blocks for that. Also hit 700 in October.
Could I add, I booked Voyager 14 night Greenland cruise in a GS. The prices were so good I booked the next 7 nighters to make 700. 5 weeks and a total of 168 points.
Not the only good thing to come out of that. The 3 weeks up the Ne England was up there with the best I've done. I want to go back.
I didn't jump ship to Msc or X lol

Hello,
Someone somewhere will have the data but I for one cannot remember when both Indy and Adventure were in Southampton how they shared the itineraries.
I've done Iceland twice, both with X, and any number of Baltic - the last in June with X (the first with CTC's Southern Cross about 30 years ago).
Regards,
Cublet
I visited Iceland last September on the Voyager Ta. Fascinating country.
I would certainly do it again if it was offered from Southampton.
I done the Adventure Ta from Miami to Southampton in April 2014 and the Indy Ta in November 2014

Hello,
I agree, and Iceland too (though not together). However there seems to be an unspoken carve-up between Royal and X as to who goes where - both Iceland and Baltic are offered by X but not by Royal.
Regards,
Cublet
I think 2 ship in Southampton would pay. Jewel is commanding high prices from Amsterdam and is sailing full most cruises. For Iceland, it would be up the est Coast for Ireland and Scotland then onto Iceland. A return down the East and Orkney. It can do Norway and Baltics leaving another ship to do France, Spain, Portugal and the Med.
With X Infinity in Barcelona over the Winter, maybe they are catching on.

Agree...We did the Jewel Arctic Circle July 2022. Bergen was our favorite port during this itinerary and the cruising scenery was amazing.
I'm doing that on Jewel next May

But beside Geiranger and Flam other ports and Fjords are still open and at least the new LNG ships will be allowed in.
Hopefully the 2025 itinerary's will include the Baltic's

Oasis looks to be staying in the caribbean for Summer 2025.
In my opinion, Allure *may* get her amplification, as her last cruise currently ends on 10th Feb and a maintenance dry-dock only usually lasts around 1 month at max, so this would leave plenty of time before a potential Europe season. However, I think she will be based in Barcelona doing the usual 7-night med cruises, as I don’t think there is an Oasis class market in Southampton. As I have mentioned previously, OC could only fit into very few ports on the ex-Uk sailings, with the exception of the 14-night Mediterranean cruises. In reality, Royal just wouldn’t fill the ship if it was doing the same 2 week itinerary all season long, plus they could make quick money elsewhere.
The talk on Oa/Allu coming to Sou was on Anthem a few weeks ago

Do you think Independence AND an oasis class is likely for Southampton? Would Allure possibly start a season after a dry dock?
If both were there how would they organise itineraries?
Maybe the oasis class on 7 nighters and Indy on a series of longer cruises?
I would think the other way. Oa/All heading to the Med for 14 nights. Baltics are starting again so Indy would be good

Yes. Along with Indy. Anthem this year and next year only 2 Med 14 nighters per year. They usually command high fees.

My family group of 12 lost our 8 night Thanksgiving on Freedom but so far 8 of us have moved over to the 8 night New Years sailing on Oasis. I was able to move from 2 forward adjoining JS on freedom to connecting JS on the hump, picking exactly the rooms we wanted. Looking forward to the new Aruba/Curaçao/Coco Cay itinerary and considering it a win given this sailing looks to be about 3x the price we paid if we hadn’t been price protected.
They must be losing a lot of money. All the price protections and missing Thanksgiving and Christmas/New Year

Just off the phone to Royal.
Now I have a Cat D2 on Deck 9 on Oasis 30th November 2024.
The difference is £14 port fees.
I'm on Voyager Ta and staying on for the 4 night Thanksgiving cruise. That gets into PC on the 30th, so I'll rent a car and get down to FL for Oasis.
I suppose it has saved me flights.

Just be aware that the last sentence "If we haven’t heard from you by July 12th, your reservation will be cancelled" means exactly that. They will cancel it and keep all non-refundable deposits if they don't hear from you. They won't refund them. This happened to me last year when I foolishly assumed that not calling to specifically tell them I wanted Option 3 meant they would just cancel and refund. My agent called when no refund showed up and that's what they told her. Then the supervisor graciously said he would make a one time exception in my case and approved the refund.
I'll call tomorrow. Might take a few times to get the correct result though. My Scottish accent doesn't help

If they do hold out to the letter, I will get an Oceanview balcony for £1475 on Oasis.
Currently £2450. I'll find out tomorrow when I call

Very strange -- Freedom only has 4 sailings available from Nov 2024-Feb 2024.
Those are:
Nov 3rd - 6 nts
Dec 29th - 8 nts
Feb 16th - 7 nts
Feb 23rd - 6 nts
Seems like the Dec 29th is next to get chopped -- but that would leave over 3 months for dry dock??
Very peculiar
I've checked a few times and every time it's different
Deployment 2025-26 booking season begins
