  1. It does take approximately an hour - we did Kuala Lumpur on our own in January this year.

    We took the mono rail/metro from Bukit Bintang to China town and walked back to Bukit Bintang.

    Watch this short video from the tour

  2. The tenders service was running the entire night - like every hour. Return at 11pm should not be a problem. And morning should not be a problem either. X tours also start quite early.

    In addition to the ship tenders there were also local boats tendering.

    Here is my blog with pictures and videos from our cruise January 2013.

  3. We we did a cruise out of Shanghai we stayed at JW Marriott Hotel at Tomorrow Square - next to People's Square and close to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street.

    Excellent hotel and excellent service.

  4. I have just been at Xpedition - excellent cruise. Do not know Ocean Spray except new and much smaller ship.

    Even with 96 passengers you feel like a family - and tours are all dividede into group of 16 with a local naturalist - very likely to me the same tours on both ships since those tours ashore are highly regulated.

    But I dont think you will be able to get an Xpedition cruise before fall next year - i did bokk almost two years in advance.

    I do have a review of our tour at http://traveltogalapagos.info

  5. We went on Millennium last january - visa for Infonesia was arranged by Millennium and charged to our on board account.

    Also in January 2014 you will be able to get your tourist visa on arrival to Indonesia.

  6. I have created some short two minutes videos from each of the landings at our 7 day Galapagos Cruise, Xpedition itinerary B - links to individusl videos from:

  8. I have started to create a blog from our November 10 to 17, 2013 Celebrity Xpedition cruise to Galapagos

    The blog can be found at: http://www.traveltogalapagos.info/

    Please note that the blog by today is still not finished - need some proof reading (you are welcome with comments and corrections) - also more text, blog entries and pictures will be added soon.

    In addition some videos from the trip will soon be posted at:

    http://www.youtube.com/traveltogalapagos

    A 'sampler video' can be found here:

  9. (AM arrival will allow for 9:45 train - only 5 minutes from pier to train if docked - if tendered it might be different!

    If we leave Myrdal by 3:59, should we be able to return to the ship by 4:00pm or so (6pm departure).

    This is not fully understood:"If we leave Myrdal by 3:59, should we be able to return to the ship by 4:00pm or so (6pm departure)."

    But again - only short time is need to get back to ship.

  10. Just back from Celebrity Xpedition Itinerary B cruise - November 10 to 17, 2013.

    This is the first video of a series from my Galapagos cruise - there will be more detailed videos from each of the visited islands as well as Celebrity Xpedition.

    Click on picture or on link to watch the video.

  11. Has got this messages the last 3 weeks every time I try to view my reservation:

    "We are unable to handle your request due to system maintenance. Please try again later."

    or this message: "Bk Mtrx - Changing tours is not allowed" or "The Brand Name you selected is not valid. Please retry your request or call our customer service desk." or "Site under maintenance"

    Every time I click on 'manage Reservation' the 'Total Charge' is changing to a new value - very far from the right value - wonder if I do have a valid reservation?

  12. Crazy thing is ... the common ones seem to become a normal way on the boards. :rolleyes:

    ~~~
    Except that the 'common ones' are changing from board to board - this thread is the 'New cruisers > First Time Cruisers' Board!
    - When I'm visiting new boards, I'm really struggling. HMC does mean 'Half Moon Cay' at the Carnival Board and 'Halifax Metro Centre' in Halifax, Canada.
  13. If someones uses one that I don't know what it means I google it.
    Keith
    Just what I did - and here is what I got based on the list by Kamloops50.
    Some might be retaliate to my location.
    why use of acronyms make it difficult - and even more for non English speaking.
  14. Actually I found that Princess does have one that goes to Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Estonia, St Petersburg and Berlin in 10-11 days.
    Don't miss the Stockholm archipelago - as per the posts above the must is Copenhagen, Stockholm and the archipelago, Tallinn and St. Petersburg (two days) - Oslo and Helsinki less important.
