  1. My reasons fall to the other side of why to be loyal to royal, I only get to cruise 1 time a year or every 2 years so for the chance to build loyalty and get better deals I am interested in staying with RCCI. Our cruises have been amazing, and we want a good balance of sea days and shore days so that we can take advantage of the things offered on board. I love bingo, and the scavenger hunts, trivia (only I am not great at it,lol) the kids love the flowrider, bb courts, rock climbing and we all enjoyed the shows.

  2. I actually have a couple different reasons for booking a JS on our 2015 Alaskan cruise First off I love the idea of being able to be closer to the waterline to see ice, animals, etc and the second reason (OK I am a weenie) I wanted a bathtub for once I am cold a hot bath is one of the only ways I truly get warm again.;)

  3. Don't know what kind of activities your daughter likes but we took our oldest son at 18 and he met lots of people (even one girl that lives an hour from him) at the bball court. He is into sports of any kind so he found lots of friends there but he also was all over the ship to dance, casino, etc, etc. He even got into the quest. Every kid is so individual as to maturity and independence so you just don't know. Our boy was living 5 hours away at college at 18 so he had grown up a lot by then.

  4. We live in a very very small town (less than 300 people) in a very rural area. On our last cruise we got onto the elevator and my son started talking to a lady with a Kentucky sweatshirt on, he had a Huskers cap on and she asked if we were from Nebraska. Turned out we knew her family and she grew up in the next town. For anyone to even have heard of our town let alone who we were was crazy.

  5. For me it hits in stages, starting with the final night in our "house", then the next biggie is dragging carryon's to your place to wait for your number to be called before leaving, and then when I leave the ship for that final bong as they check you off. And the final vacation is really over is when I am back to our home airport and I have to lug everything to our pickup.

  6. Thanks for the info everyone! I am thinking that even if we leave at like 9am we will have 3.5 hours to get there and check out the cemetery before we need to be back. I thought it would be fun to tour the town somewhat when we walk too. I just wanted to have some idea

  7. When we go to Skagway we would like to stop at the Skagway Goldrush cemetery, how long should I give us to get there and how long to walk around? We would like to take the White pass railroad at the 12:40 ride so just trying to figure out what time we should leave to see everything but not rush. We get into port at like 7 am and stay in port till I believe 8:30pm. Thanks so much.
