Hey!!! All right! Enjoy!!! I’ve logged more days on Dream than any other ship (Breeze may be in the mix, those two are neck and neck), love that class of ship (back on Magic NYE)!I've not been on the Dream (or the Breeze, which I'll be on in August, thanks to our favorite local assistant). I went back and re-read your latest review of the Dream to get my bearings. After these 2 cruises, I'll be at 74 nights, which means I'll just have to take another one to reach platinum.

Hey @dmet0225 guess who I’m watching.
Thunder started here at about 2am and didn't stop until after 6. It wasn't severe, but we did receive another 1" of rain.

I'm right in the middle of that picture (I had no idea there is a Climax around here). Thunder started at about 2am and didn't stop until after 6. It was nowhere near as severe as it was last week. We received another 1" of rain overnight, in addition to the 7+ inches we received over the last week.

After seeing all these drinks, I’ve been scouring different bar menus online so that I can plan my different drinks on the Dream next week. In the past, I’ve pretty much been a beer and Funship guy with a few drinks from Alchemy here and there. I’ll be broadening my horizon.
Just saw the Long Island Iced Teas, of which I’ve had many.

You really can’t make this stuff up. I got home yesterday during yet another rain event of over 1.25” and found this.
Neighbor across the alley had a trash dumpster installed to either throw a lot of crap away or do a lot of renovation. Either way, the driver delivering this dumpster clearly doesn’t know how to drive. He drove his truck onto my grass and left a gorge that is 12’ long and 7” deep due to how wet the ground is. He also tore up my neighbor’s yard. Does the guy not know how to drive a truck with a trailer?
The guy who did the damage has already filled the ruts with top soil and tamped it down.

When he starts yelling, you know things are getting serious. Anywhere near you?

I’ll send the 100mph storms they are predicting for tonight. 🤦🏼♀️
Just saw one of Reed's posts on X about his chase area in central OK. Yikes.

To those of you dealing with an excess of rain, send some my way! Florida's rainy season is just not happening and we are in a severe drought situation...
Ruskin usually receives 8-12 inches each month in the rainy season... we've had a total of .1 inches (that's POINT one) of rain in the past 60 days! My grass is dead, my potted flowers are all dying and the beautiful pond behind my house is a mud bog!
Not that I want as much rain as you guys have gotten, but somewhere in the middle would be nice!
I'd love to send some your way, but I'm going to need it back in about 6-8 weeks when it's hotter than the surface of the sun with no water.

Wow! You need to get on the ship ASAP. Serenity now.
It can't get here quickly enough.
Seems like I've also caused a ruckus at City Hall in the city where I live. I have received voice mails this morning from both the mayor and the mayor pro-tem about my written notice not to reapply for the high-profile volunteer position within the City that I've held for the past 10 years.

Perhaps I’m just detoxing. I hate it here. 😆😆
You are gonna have to swim to Galveston this weekend.
Funny swim story. Over the weekend, I was pulling out most of the clothes to pack for the cruise. I took a closer look at the swimsuit with pineapples on it that I bought a few years ago. Uh….there are upside down pineapples. They’re not making this trip.

Pretty sure those of us in central Texas and Oklahoma could build a port and let the cruise ships come to us at this point. It rained all morning here, giving me serious internet problems. It’s cleared up for the afternoon, and heated up just enough that tornados and thunderstorms are possible. I’m awaiting Port of Wichita Falls soon.
After emptying the 1.75” out of the rain gauge from yesterday’s rain, I just checked today’s rainfall total - another 1.25”. For those keeping count, that’s nearly 8” since last week.

I guess I’ll just sit here smugly for the next 58 days. 😆Wait. Just. A. Second. Haven’t you had like 10 cruises in the last year? With all of the cruising you do, I don’t doubt you’re having withdrawals.

According to my notes I walked around afterwards and had a couple of shots of Patron Anejo down at the Atrium Bar and took two pictures of the Atrium Tornado... These were my last two pictures from day one on board. One of the weird things about not doing the full "Live Review" was that I wasn't tethered to my phone the entire time. I had only been disconnected from the real World for a couple of hours, but decided that I'd get used to it. Throughout the week I debated on whether or not to try and connect to WiFi in one of the ports, but ultimately decided to just stay completely "off the grid" the entire trip. It was the first time I've ever done this since the dawn of email and social media...
You ever eventually find it refreshing not to be tethered to your phone or social media?

(Also I’m just much of a sweets guy. Never really appealed to me before. Not sure why it did today. Lesson learned I guess #keepitsavory)
I've never heard of a skillet cake before now. Without going into any detail, pancakes/waffles don't agree with me.

About to start the longest week of work. I’m sure you are all aware of the phenomenon - the week before a cruise. We leave for Galveston on Saturday and board the Dream on Sunday for a 6-day cruise to Costa Maya (new to us), Roatan and Cozumel. It can’t get here soon enough.
