  1. Arriving Saturday FLL airport 3:30p.m March of 2018 with 4 adults and need transportation to SOBE Hotel. With so many Travelers now using Uber or Lyft, will it be difficult to get either at the airport (long wait)? Also, because this is a bit of a long distance, will there be a problem with accommodating us? And which of the 2 would anyone recommend? Thanks.

  2. I thought I must be nuts when I looked at the layout of the floor plan. We are traveling with our adult son and even he said that we will have to be very considerate and sit out on the balcony when someone is in the toilet or shower. Is there a curtain between them and the room?

    Yes.

  3. Thank you for your review. Yes, I can agree that "free style" does not resonate well with many first time NCL cruisers if not aware of the many pre cruise reservations needed. (Ironically I just yesterday had this conversation with my DD). I've cruised many lines and multiple times with NCL, and have had to take quite a bit of jabs from my family for all the preparation I do for the cruise. While I've not seen Burn the Floor (but will on our next cruise), I did see Million Dollar Quartet on the Escape and thought it very entertaining. I wish you had. Sometimes these experiences can negate some of the less entertaining venues. I've recently cruised another line (with all the animated film characters). I could not pre reserve the entertainment venues and therefore waited in line for almost an hour in order to get seats in the theatre. As the ships (Oceanliners) are getting bigger and thousands more passengers per ship this has (in my experience) become the new norm. Cruisers don't seem to have this situation on the smaller ships I'm told however I love the the large ships with the many dinning and lounges choices, hence....I do my homework. Concierge bookings, Haven and also some Suites will often have special sailing amenities. Again, thank you for your straight forward review. I hope this did not discourage you from enjoying other cruises.

  4. I've used Lyft on our last cruise to travel around Orlando before our cruise. I do not hear much about this company on the boards but a lot of mention of Uber. Family members on our last cruise (out of Port Canaveral) said they had a long wait for Uber and switched to Lyft also. I would like some input on which to use as I will be needing this service from FLL to a hotel in Sobe and from the hotel to POM. I am under the empression that Uber does but does Lyft have license to enter the POM?

    Thank you.

  5. I've sailed on the Epic twice in the mini suite because of the itinerary. The bathroom or lack of a bathroom is the reason I will not sail on it again and have booked the Getaway for my next cruise. However, this may not be a factor for one as young as 7years of age or if booking in Haven.

  6. Enjoyed the review. Thanks. I was especially interested in the latter post from the CC that has been on this particular itinerary 5 times and has not once made it to Belize!!! Not docking at Belize and all the reasons why strike me as odd. Just way too many times where NCL has not made it to Belize!! I will be on this ship and itinerary next March and already assume it will be a sea day. :o

  7. We were off the Breakaway last Sunday. Yesterday hubby was moving some dirt when the wheelbarrow flipped over, so did he. Now he has a broken shoulder, wonder if it has anything to do with the ship?

THIS IS GREAT! Thanks for the laugh. One of the best post evvvverr. Glad to read a post by a Cruiser with my sense of humor.

  8. Just wanted to bump this up to see if anyone had been recently and had any updated information. Is the shuttle still every 1/2 hour (or about)? Is the admission still $10? What is included?

It seems like all the links posted in this thread are no longer existent or many years outdated.

I also would like to know any updated info!

  9. Have resently used Executive VIP limo. We, (a party of 8 and having reserved months in advance) were to be picked up upon landing at the airport and taken to our hotel. When we landed, a call from Exec VIP directed us to find and board on a certain shuttle that was picking up passengers to be taken to their selective hotels and would drop us off at one of the hotels. EXEC VIP met us and we then had to reload our luggage in his limo and were taken to our hotel destination. What a hassle...I did not know about this two party set up before reserving or I would have gone with another company. Somewhat of an embarrassment for me as I was the person that set up our transportation. The owner was very friendly. There had been so many great reviews for this company on CC that I felt comfortable booking with it. I read the post about his personal situation. I am very sorry, those life changing insidents can have a horrible ripple effect. I wish him the best.

  10. I made reservations for both specialty and MDR and I highly recommend doing such. Because of a late excursion arrival, I and companion were 20 minutes late for the MDR reservation and had over an hour wait to be seated. I'm certain this is not the norm, but I'd rather not have that experience again.
