  1. OMG. Barbara is an absolute hoot! I was on Sunshine in December and happened to play trivia and some other kind of challenge game with her. She's a nut. She scolds anyone who asks a questions that she just answered. She calls out anyone who stands up and walks out during the activity. She say you must raise your hand to be excused. She'll pick one person to keep an eye on everyone else. She styled the discipline of her trivia games after a Zimbabwe elementary classroom. She does this all with a straight face, until she can't hold it in anymore and starts laughing. She had us all in stitches.

  2. I'm sailing my first back to back on Carnival Magic. I understand that the B2B experience can vary from ship to ship, with some ships making the turnaround morning more special than other ships. Has anyone done a B2B on Magic? Can you tell me what it was like?

I play 5-7 times per week...Definitely wonder how the wind will affect it.  We were just on Vista and they didn't have it (early July). According to website they now have it. I hope they will ACTUALLY have it open...put nets out, balls out, etc.  Has anyone actually played on board? We go on Breeze in December and my paddle will be coming with!!!

I played on Legend in September. We were in port. It was a blast.

  4. I was on the Legend in September and they had a pickle ball tournament one afternoon while we were waiting to leave a port. I had a blast, my first time playing. I wrote in my post-cruise survey comments that I hoped hoped hoped that they would offer pickle ball again on the October 30 cruise. I think they will because the September tournament was well-attended. We played on the basketball court.

  5. We got off the Legend on 1/19. We arrived in port at around 8:30 or so, they started calling the self-assist passengers around 10:00. We had luggage to pick up and were off the ship by 11:00. This cruise was at not more than 50% capacity, so for sure disembarkation went very quickly once it began. We cruised out of Baltimore one other time, on the Pride, and the currents in the Chesapeake caused a delay on arriving back to the port of several hours. Good luck scheduling a pick up, but most of all - enjoy your cruise!

  6. I can't find any parking other than at the port. My searches only yield park and cruise packages that include a hotel stay. What am I missing? Does anyone know a place we can park, other than the port? We're driving, only an hour from Baltimore and don't need a hotel. We don't really need a shuttle either. We'll Uber.

I am going to ask if we can get back some partial credit for this crap internet. If they refuse I’m not gonna throw a screaming tantrum or anything but it’s not like me to even ask in the first place and at times it’s been out entirely and so slow at others to be essentially useless as nothing loads before timing out.

I’ve actually lost many of my own posts in this thread, keying it in then hitting submit to get a death spin or slow load followed by an error. I’ll go back through it all when I get back home and address anything I missed.

It’s not the end of the world or anything but it’s kept me from meeting my own live review expectations as I have not answered timely in many cases.

Chopsticks for lunch today now. 🥢

Ick. You sound like me. One day maybe I'll take my own advice; here it is for you. Don't minimize and dismiss the issues. You deserve to get what you paid for. Go to guest services and make sure they know what's happening with internet connectivity and get that refund. But first - Chopsticks.

I'm so glad that Chopsticks is tasty. I've been looking forward to that, without really knowing if it's good.

Earlier this morning. I don’t know if the video will upload or not. At the moment internet is just working.

I actually just came up to the forward pool because it’s finally nice enough though it’s very windy. I had specially promised myself to spend at least 30 midday minutes in the sun each day feasible for some Vitamin D production. Did you know science says it’s likely impossible to make Vitamin D in the north after October and until about March.

I have sunscreen but it’s not going on unless I exceed the 30 minutes. 1FE86F80-9B3B-442A-967C-82F073898180.thumb.jpeg.207e60df3094ab9ccd694686178a42f6.jpeg
