  1. On longer trips I prefer RCI, more things to do, unusual features, better theater shows, and I prefer dining room menus.

On shorter trips I enjoy Carnival. The atmosphere can be downright raucous around the pool, and the casual food choices - like deli and panini stations - are really what I'm looking for. When I want cheap and easy, it's my choice.

The comedy shows on Carnival are the best by far.

My feelings as well. On longer trips I enjoy a more laid back atmosphere so I go with RC but when I want to let the hair down a bit I go with Carnival. :D

  2. It is like children, you can't pick a favorite! sometimes they are good and sometimes bad! I have always received a better deal for the most part on Carnival but I have had great cruises on RCI owned lines , Celebrity and Azamara.

I always say, any cruise is a good cruise if you make it a good cruise. It is what you make of it. If I want something more laid back I go with RCCL. If I want to "let my hair down" a bit and do a bit of partying, I go with Carnival.

  3. Is there a certain point at which you made the comparison. What I saw was just a Harmony review. I did just bounce around, not watch through.

Yea, I know it's long. I make my video's much shorter now. Yes, there are parts throughout that I mention the difference in the cruise lines such as wait times, cellphone services, etc. They are sprinkled throughout.

  4. I really do like both but in my own experience, I really do like Carnival just a tad better although as the other poster stated, I do think RCL's ships are a bit nicer and I like the Promenade being long and through the ship. To each their own I guess.

  5. I made a video this year comparing the 2. I came away with (IMO) listing Carnival the better cruise experience. I know it is long but you can always fast forward to what you think is important. Let me know what you think.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vl1d3Dcg4F8

  6. Yep! Of course RCL's Harmony Of The Sea's is great but there's many negatives. I really think Carnival wins! Here's the cruise review and 1] You might be surprised at the common elements of both lines. 2] You might be surprised at the differences that Carnival has a upper hand. It's long but if you want to skip the travel part, skip to the 3 minute mark. 2017 WESTERN CARIBBEAN you want to skip the travel to the port jump to 3 minute mark.

  7. I have not been on any Q class so it could be different. On Harmony there are 2 electronic machines (1 of them was broken all week so effectively only 1 used). The blinds are $1/3. They were packed with a waiting list every night.

Thats weird because we just got off the Harmony last month and there was only one machine. I thought that was odd since the ship is sooo big.
