We will be doing b2b on the Solstice in the fall Vancouver to Sydney with a little different itinerary but will definitely follow your adventure.

I have reserved the 6:15 time slot for the 6 of us traveling together on the 8/28 Eclipse sailing. Only one has been confirmed in an email, the others are "in the cart" and keep getting bounced back every time I attempt to confirm those. I did get a message saying there is a conflict with one of those reserved times, but the date isn't specified. Any hints?
I have had problems in the past and now I phone Captains Club to make the reservations. 800 760-0654

Good afternoon Pinboy........there IS a difference in size and noticeable....we book the hump when available in booking Concierge class...however....they are not as wide as some, a little narrower, but longer. Accommodate furniture (and footstools...haha) quite nicely.
That’s interesting. I’ve never noticed that some were narrower than others.

Does anyone know how quickly the credit can be approved?

I have been able to do it that far out by calling the Captains Club.

But there are more seating around the sunset bar erea on both sides where Equinox has grass.
That’s a plus. To me that grass area was wasted space. Looking forward to our April Silhouette cruise.

Fortunately we had OBC to burn so not a big deal; just a lesson learned.
I think OBC is one reason people book the speciality restaurants and if we don’t have extra OBC we don’t go.

We decided to book rather than lose money for a cruise. Cruise is booked in Canadian dollars. FBC in Canadian dollars. Well. To book seat selection, Air Canada online redirects to US website as booking nbr is US. apparently. Seat selection and baggage fees, US $. Not the first time this has happened. FBC gal didnt “get” my problem of being charged in US. Air Canada says FBC. FBC says deal with AC. Just a heads up on this. FYI. the US charge was unreal
What was the rate difference?

Thanks for following along on the journey. I found the mix of old and new (relatively speaking) of the architechture of the city to be facinating. We def miss stepped by not coming down earlier (going to the falls as well, which at least would add another couple days.
We did a TA from Barcelona to BA a few years ago and I agree with you that we should have spent more time there. We only stayed for two days. Thanks for doing this.

What are the prices?

Very easy to do. You can order a bottle of wine with dinner and take the rest back to the stateroom or get an unopened bottle to take to your quarters and your steward will bring you a corkscrew and glasses.
Thank you. I didn’t know that.

One thing we enjoy on our cruises is the balcony. It’s been a while since we did a Princess cruise which I think was on the Crown Princess and if I remember correctly the balcony seemed small. Am I correct and are the balconies on the newer Princess ships larger?

A few?
Perhaps in number but for anyone who drinks little (or in our case zero) alcohol and doesn't want unlimited WiFi the Elite+ benefits are extremely valuable - unlimited free speciality tea/coffees/chocolate (hot and iced), 240 minutes premium WiFi per person and 2 bags (30 items per bag) of laundry per person.
I agree. Our Elite+ status allows us to book without AI which is considerably cheaper on the cruises we have booked.

We're on a 10 day starting April 8. Silhouette has always been a favorite of ours.
We are as well and the only S-class we haven’t been on is the Silhouette.

Doubt it
I don't worry about any company's loyalty points because, IMHO, they don't amount to anything anymore.
We are E-plus and we find that works well for us. Two bags of laundry each, 240 minutes of Wi-Fi each, and the 5-7 Happy Hour. We don’t need to purchase the AI package and that is a big saving for us.

Thank you for your review and the info you provided. I have followed along as we are doing this cruise on the Solstice next year and hopefully some of the dining issues you mentioned are addressed. My wife and I agree with you about the Tuscan over the other specialty restaurants.

Not anymore. The nonrefundable deposit put a stop to most of that and eliminated a good chunk of the 'placeholder' and 'backup' bookings. And before someone says it...TA's group inventory is not given up or returned at the final payment date so that's not it.
When is a TA’s group inventory normally returned?

Looking forward to this posting as we are doing this cruise next October on the Solstice. Will definitely be following.

The majority of the production shows on Celebrity are horrible, it’s time to retire Topper and Elysium, they’ve been around way too long.
We certainly agree with that.

You may have misunderstood how it works. When you book on board, the booking goes directly to the Travel agent. Often it crosses his desk before I have even left the Future Cruise Office!
I don’t think it has to go to your TA. In the past we have requested to have the booking in our names and not to the agent. Maybe that has changed.

Thanks for the replies.

Pearl Harbor is done quite easily on your own without paying extra for a tour. It takes a little bit of planning-- you have to get timed tickets for the USS Arizona Memorial-- but otherwise much more enjoyable to do not in a group tour setting.
Waikiki will be one of the nicest, closest beaches to where you'll dock in Honolulu. Beaches in Hawaii are public-- I would recommend the stretch of Waikiki thats between the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and the Westin Moana Surfrider. Lots to see, do, eat, and drink there-- Mai Tai beach bar at the Royal Hawaiian is a lot of fun.
My guess is that Oahu isn't going to be the only island stop on your cruise. There are much nicer beaches in Hawaii as a whole than Waikiki. If you let us know where else you'll be we can make some additional beach recommendations.
Is the beach at Waikiki an easy walk from the port?

Yes. Go to the Celebrity web site to find the cruise you are interested in. Then click on the itinerary. On that page look for the plane icon just under the cabin categories and click that the you will then get the page where you can see your flight choices.
