  1. Oh we have definitely gotten errors in the past. Has anyone reading this thread sailed MSC not in the YC and if so, did you get a statement at the end of the cruise? If we just had 1 cabin and we didnt get one we would just think oversite, but none of our 3 cabins got one which leads me to believe maybe they dont provide a final bill at the end of the cruise?
  2. Thanks and didnt mean to use a bold font. It wouldnt let me change it. Guess when i copied your name it made it bold for some reason... Well, we got nothing in the way of a final statement on any of the cabins and when we tried to leave, they said my sons cabin had a balance of $106 even through it was also on our credit card. No explanation as to what it was but we just paid and get the heck off the ship. There are a total of 22 charges on my AMEX all processed, not pending. Ranging from $4 to $454. I denied all but 1 this morning given the amount looks like the shore excursions we purchased. Guess MSC will have to explain to AMEX what all those charges are for... Even the lady at AMEX i was talking to said this was crazy and she had never seen anything like this before. She wanted to turn it over to their fraud department, but i told her that some are valid, i just have no idea which ones and it looks like they may have bundled some of the charges. Example, we didnt spend $454 at one time anywhere on the ship. Crazy
  3. morpheusofthesea, Did you get a final invoice yesterday before you got off the ship? We usually get a final bill breakdown the last night or disembarkation day and we didnt get anything on any of our 3 cabins. And the charges on AMEX are all over the place. Looks like they were randomly charging items throughout the week. Some individually, some lumped together. Did you experience the same?
  4. Yep and shame on us for not researching that prior to the cruise. This was a last minute cruise booked 2 months ago. It’s a shame. Msc has some real potential. Beautiful ship, great staff but the people it’s attracting with those fares is not good. And it wasn’t just rudeness. Some looked boarderline thuggish…
  5. He’s right about that. But i think I figured out why this is the case. Was talking to someone with the same balcony cabin as ours and they paid almost $2k less than we did. So at some point they were giving away these cabins and then reason for it being so packed and the “interlopers”. I just call them degenerates…

  8. Thank you. We are on your cruise, non YC, and its a nightmare so we were wondering how YC compared to the Retreat and Haven. Because if we ever returned to MSC, unlikely, sounds like YC is the only way to go.
  9. You mentioned you were on equinox. We’re you in the retreat? How did it compare to YC ?
  10. We are say 4 on seascape and wanted to ask when others got the laundry offer? We are debating on waiting or just sending some in at list price. Thx.
  11. This is my number 1 issue with this cruise, I’m on the same ship and the people are extremely rude. Very carnivalesque. Nice ship, but very rude people.
  12. Agreed, but we have sailed on every other cruise line out there and non Haven, Retreat, etc and they managed to get our luggage to us before sailing...
  13. Not a nice way of saying this but there is an interesting clientele on this ship...
  14. we are also on this sailing, but not in YC. Not a good boarding day. We have 3 rooms and the person checking us in could not understand how to check us all in for some reason. Had to get a supervisor multiple times. Didnt get our luggage until 9pm even through we dropped it off at noon. All minor issues so far, but we are only on day number 2 now so we shall see.

We have had nightmares on NCL and Celebrity on items we prepurchased that either werent delivered to our cabins, or didnt show up on our account like shore excursions, upgraded drink packages, etc. I will say, i already see some possible issues with what have currently booked. Example, we bought some wine for our room and it shows up on the website, but not the app, and we bough some shore excursions through our TA and they show up in the app but not the website. Thats what giving us pause about purchasing anything else and making it more difficult to unravel once we board. Thanks again for the response.
  16. Thank you and thats the one we are looking at. Can you tell me how it worked? Special bag, credit on your onboard account, etc? Im trying to spend a little time in guest services as possible and it seems the more stuff i prebook, the more time i get to spend with them straightening things out. We have had bad luck prepurchasing things on other cruise lines so just wondering how MSC does with prepurchases. thx
  17. Has anyone booked the prepaid laundry option pre cruise and if so, how did it work once you boarded? A credit to your onboard account, separate bag to send in laundry?? Thx
  18. We sail this Sunday, 6/10, and just got another upgrade offer for my sons inside cabin. Again, this seems to be the one they are really targeting. Pretty reasonable pricing though. $75pp for a ocean view, $260pp for a deluxe balcony. I wonder when they will close the bidding and give people their upgrades. We are 6 days out...

Its been hit and miss when we prebooked these items on other cruise lines, some show up on our account when we board the ship, some dont and i get to spend time at guest services to get it straightened out. What have people experience with this been on MSC? Also, on the photo package, when we get pics taken, do we just give them the cabin number or do they ask for your cruise card? We have 3 cabins, but really dont want to buy the package for each cabin given most of the photos will be of us together and 1 cabin only has 1 person in it so im pretty sure he doesnt need his own photo package... on other lines, they would just ask for our cabin number so we could just give them the cabin that we purchased the package with? Thanks

We are sailing on Seascape out of Miami next week and wanted to find out if we have the easy plus beverage package, do we just pay the difference if the drink is above the $10 limit or the full price for the drink? Seems like a pretty easy question, but I asked this on one of the MSC facebook groups and got a mixed answer. Basically 2 people on the same cruise gave 2 different answers. Has anyone been on seascape recently that can answer this first hand? Thanks
  22. We have been getting them since we booked, although that was only about 2 months ago and we sail next week. Last minute cruise... I got one yesterday and i expect one today at some point. They seem to be targeting my son's inside cabin because i consistently get 1 a day about that one. The other two cabins i get about twice a week. Not sure what triggers the algorithm on who get what upgrade offers, but if i had to guess, they want insides for some odd reason.... thx
  23. Thats exactly what we are hoping. And we are with you about the 17yo, but he isnt overly excited about cruising, open water in particular, hence the inside cabin. If they were to upgrade him to an window or god forbid, a balcony, all heck would break loose...
