Congratulations! Do you recall what date you cancelled?
Did you book directly with Royal or through a TA?
I cancelled on March 18. Booked directed with Royal.

Hello,
I have been waiting over a month for the cruise I cancelled (June departure). I called yesterday again to see where my money was (since I had made full payment on 1 cabin). It showed up today! WOO HOO! I asked about FCC and was put on hold for 30 + minutes. They had not even started that process -- not sure why they did not do it right away, but I am happy to have my $ back!

The bigger issue for me is that I cancelled but have received 0 communication from RC. Something that says -- hey you cancelled we are processing your refund and it will be within 30 days -- that would be nice!

Interesting. I cancelled by phone on 3/18 and have received no email about cancellation, no refund, and no FCC yet. They told me at the time it would take 30 days. I guess I will be patient for another week and then try to get more information.
Thank you!

Hello,
How many days did it take you to get the email? I have not seen anything and I cancelled about 2 weeks ago! Hopefully they are just working through the backlog, but it would be nice to have this checked off my list!
Thanks

I dropped $500 on my ocean view room on the Allure of the Seas med cruise in early June. I also upgraded my other cabin to ocean view for $58 less that I paid.
I keep looking to see if there are more changes, but it seems to have stabilized and increased a smidge overnight

I am new to this class of ship. Is Johnny Rockets free for breakfast?
Thanks!

Hello,
I tried to search for this answer, but the search function is not what it used to be. I will be on the Allure of the Seas in early June and am wondering when the bookings for the shows will open? Also, does anyone have a list of what shows are on this ship?
Thank you!

I am sorry to be dense, but I do not see where I can do this online.
Since I have already checked in, there does not seem to be anyway to get back to the check in areaAdvice?

Hello!
I am cruising in a couple of weeks and just realized that my credit card that I used for check in has expired. Can I just wait to give them a new credit card when I check in or should I call Carnival and handle this in advance?
I am not quite sure how I did not notice that this was going to happen. OOPS!
Thanks!

These are some very entertaining stories.
I was on a cruise last year with my 16 year old daughter. We want to Nachi Cocum in Cozumel, that is usually a pretty mellow place. There were a group of people really drinking ALOT. At one point one lady was unsteady on her feet and her companions started to video her antics with their cell phone. I told my daughter to keep an eye on her as I was worried she might do something or hurt herself and within 2 minutes she fell into the bushes and could not get up. Her friends were laughing at her (and not helping -- the people who worked there helped her up). The friends were busy taping her antics.
I used this as a teachable moment for my daughter on 2 things -- 1. Do not drink so much you cannot handle your business and 2. Find friends who help, not just exploit your stupidity.

I can see the price drop online, but I have called 2 different people at RC and they cannot see the same price.
The lady I talked to said it happened all the time.
I asked if I could send her the price I see (which you used to be able to do on Carnival) and she said no. I guess I will wait a few hours or until tomorrow and see if it catches up with their computers.
Bummed -- it was only $75 but still!

I just called and they told me no. The lady did not know what she was talking about.
I will call again and get someone else!

I have been on both ships. I prefer Carnival generally (the food in dining room seems better, etc). I cruise based on ports and price, so I go back and forth between Carnival and RCL.
All that being said -- Freedom of the Seas is awesome. It is bigger (we stayed in an interior promenade room which we loved). I also like the ice skating show, and other bells and whistles on the Freedom. We did the cupcake class (excellent fun), guacamole/margarita making at Sabor (FANTASTIC!)
Overall I was a fan of Freedom of the Seas.

Hello All,
I am not typically a Princess cruiser, but it looks like Princess is one of the few ships that travels extensively in the summer to Japan (including a stop in Korea).
My daughter wants to visit Japan and Korea after she graduates from high school, and I thought cruising might be the way to go. A couple of questions:
1. Any ideas when summer 2021 will be released for Japan?
2. I read some reviews of Princess cruising in Japan -- are there other lines that I am missing that I should check out?
Thanks!

My son always wore khaki pants and a polo shirt with nicer tennis shoes (vans or something like that). He always looked fine and we had no issues.

Thank you for the information. I found the offer on my platinum card (but not on my delta card). I used it for my husband and I for our Thanksgiving cruise!
This board is so helpful!

Hello All,
We are just starting planning for our grand European adventure 357 days from now on the Oasis of the Seas. We have booked Naples, but are looking for a cooking class/pasta making class or something hands on (and less museum-heavy) for our day in La Spezia.
Does anyone have any recommendations for something like this? Thanks!

I have a different last name from my children - just because I never changed mine. My husband and I have travelled out of the country (cruises, land crossing to Canada, and flights to Europe). We have never been asked to prove that we had the permission of the other parent, but we always made sure we were prepared in case someone asked.
Since we are actually married, we created a notarized form (which can be found on the internet) that gave each other permission to take the child out of the country. We went to the bank and had it notarized. It is much better to have that form and not need it, then stress out about missing the adventure of a lifetime!
Good luck!

Howdy,
There are some special cabins that have an inside connected to a balcony. We had these connecting cabins several years ago when we were on the Carnival Miracle for an Alaskan cruise. It was great to stick the kids in the inside and we had the balcony. They are all the way forward on the Miracle.

Thank you all for your relplies..... helps me to stop second guessing myself!
I second your decision to keep this cabin. I had one on the Valor and it was awesome. My daughter and I will be sailing together in this cabin on the Glory in 2 months. I am very excited! I sort of pushed my daughter into this cruise so I could have this cabin again. It is awesome!

Thank you for this information. I checked for my Thanksgiving 2019 cruise and finally it was there today!
You all are so helpful.

I had a 4J on the Triumph.
It was awesome. A window (even to a deck) is always better than no window.
December 2022 missing
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
All cruises for December are missing. I was hoping maybe someone would know. I am hearing from another website that maybe there are some shifts going on in ships. I really wish they would tell us as I was about to book my air today since I can get some nice mileage deals!
