Neither of us has a phabulous wine palate. The most expensive Champagne I have ever tried was Dom Pérignon and it was too dang dry for my taste. If I feel I must have bubbly the Prosecco will likely suit me just fine. I realize this likely marks me as a Barbarian to those who do have developed palates and love a very dry Champagne but such is life.
Me too - never buy more than you can taste,

Ok Princess website Excursions is working again.

OK so I have to right click to get to list of excursions for a port and then right click again to see details and book. I was not doing the second right-click.

OK I will give Mozzarella another try. I was thinking more about when there are globs of it in a salad versus on a pizza. Just seem like fat to my uneducated taste buds.

Right now the website is not working, when I go to my itinerary it lists all the ports but when I click on a port to look at the excursions that are available nothing comes up.
Â
I am, however, able to access them through the app.
How do you get to them using the App? Does the web based App also work? I tried web app but could not find a link to Excursions.
-
This is weird since excursions are a revenue generator for Princess.

Yes, viewing excursions works on Firefox, not Chrome or Edge (but stay tuned, it may all change again 😂)
Firefox does not work for me.

I right click on the link and then select "open link in new tab" from the context menu. I use Firefox.
I did that in Edge and get to the list of excursions for that port but then cannot bring up individual excursions. It looks like broken links.
-
Right Click did bring up details for my booked cruise and also listed Excursions available, but would not list the details for excursions.

I posted about this on Friday. This reply, while a cumbersome workaround, did seem to work (haven't looked at the website today).

Thanks I am exploring that and will follow the other thread.

This has happened several times recently, log in to website and Manage This Trip. Excursions lists the itinerary and shows one booked excursion but not response when we look at details or try different days.
Â
Tried with Edge and Chrome browsers, same result.

Exactly, that's why they still hang there.

All cruises are less formal now. I haven’t worn a tie on any cruise since the restart. Heck I don’t even own a tie anymore
Funny you should say that, recently I was in our closet and saw my ties hanging there. The only time I wore them was on a cruise, not anymore and I wondered if I would ever wear one again 🙂

Just to be clear, two were legit freebies from the Plus package and the other two were due to screw-ups in billing us.
Ah! I wondered if two people sit but only one orders is that logged as one free Plus visit or two visits.

Yes, four free visits.Â
Excellent, thanks. We always split a pizza, not a big deal but nice to know.Â

My experience...
Â
We were on the August 2 sailing of the Sapphire in Alaska, the cruise that kicked off this whole brouhaha re Alfredo's. We, DW and I, both ate four lunches in there. The first one, price fixe, never showed up on either of our portfolios . The second showed up as individual a la carte charges for the appetizers and pizzas, but no listing at all for the desserts we had. When I noticed this that evening I went to Guest Services and explained to them that we had ordered from the price fixe menu and that we had the Plus package and that we were under the impression that this meal should count as one of the two free ones. She said she would contact Alfredo's. When I checked my portfolio the next day, the charges had been deleted.Â
Â
Before I was seated by the host of Alfredo's prior to the third lunch, I asked if he could check to see how many of my two free meals were left on my and my DW's accounts. He returned and said, "Two". I decided not to dispute that. So four freebies in all.Â
Â
When casually chit-chatting with any different host or server, I made it a point to throw in an aside that, "I liked this place better when it was free" under the assumption that any and all pushback can't hurt.Â
Â
Over the four lunches, two on sea days and two on port days, Alfredo's was deserted. There were never more than four tables occupied, including ours.Â
So your two Plus visits each did translate into four visits?

We board on September 26 and still haven't gotten the email.
Neither have and we did just get email about removing Covid test requirements and itinerary change for October 2 cruise.Â
-
I am not aware that we paid for it, I thought they just added it to our shipboard account to be paid when we cruise. I suppose they would have to process a credit to the account.Â
-
We booked via Chat because we couldn’t bring up Excursions. Might decide to cancel.
Â
ETA I now see it on our booking, also has Cancel option

Now we need a discussion on why European hotels don't provide face cloths.ðŸ˜
We were in England in June this year and both hotels had facecloths.Â

I plan to take bar soap with me. I will either take a few "hotel size" bars or maybe a full sized bar of regular old Ivory. I do have issues when bars get small as my hands won't grip the dang things well at that point.
We use a small net pouch that ties to the bar in the shower soap tray. Makes handling bar soap easier. Dollar store has small bars of Dove, Yardley etc. and the pouches.Â

Alfredo’s
in Princess Cruises
Posted · Edited by Tedferg
Interesting scenarios, particularly where a group of people are together with various Std / Plus / Prem packages and an assortment of pizzas on the table - who ordered what and is anyone taking a slice from a pizza they did not order? Impossible to police and crew usually avoids anthyng that might be confrontational.
My specific interest is one couple on Plus sharing a Pizza - is this one visit or two? I can see the crew just logging it as two visits by default. We have a 20-day cruise coming up. We will have Plus so four visits instead of two would be nice. Though paying for a couple of pizzas will not break the bank.
