On disembarking do we have to go through immigration at Civitavecchia
-
I contacted the Captains Club & asked what would be the earliest we could self disembark & was told anytime from 6am. Our flight is at 1130 so we have booked Civitavecchia Cars for 0700 to take us to FCO. There is an extra charge for pick ups before 0700

Just had confirmation from Captains Club that testing is now back to 1 day before sailing for 'Up To Date' passengers. I asked if we were unable to get tested 1 day before would it be possible to have the test at the port - the answer was NO
-
I messaged Celebrity re testing for Italy & was told that the Antigen test has to be 1 day prior to sailing e.g. if sailing on 3rd June the test paperwork has to show testing was done on 2nd June
For cruises out of Southampton it is 2 days prior to sailing

The Health Protocol has finally been announced for European sailings
My sailing out of Italy will require an Antigen Test 1 day prior to sailing - does that mean exactly 24 hrs before sailing or can the test be done anytime the day before the sailing?
I am hoping it is the latter as we are flying in to FCO the night before the cruise
-
I also noticed the website is being updated - I reckon they are adding the Health protocols for European cruises - hope so. Our check in is open on Monday so I hope is is up & running by then.

Morning all .Question . If we cancel a cruise for Feb next year and rebook a cruise for April will we loose deposit already paid or can we just transfer it to new cruise? If we can what is the best way to do it. We are in UK . Thanks
I have just moved a cruise date from 2021 to another one in 2022. We didn't lose our deposit & also didn't have to pay any extra fee's - we are Elite Captains Club members. It might be worth giving Celebrity a call to see if you will incur extra charges if you aren't Elite members

Darn. I read that the doors were external. Maybe a switch is in order? For those of you with connecting cabins, how noisy were they? I like things quiet. TY.
The last time we had an internal connecting door we could hear our neighbours conversations & arguments so didn't fancy going through that again This time we have booked one of the end (SV type) cabins 9384 as I believe they have external connecting doors.
There are other cabins on the ship that don't have any interconnecting doors
-
Just discovered that the interconnecting cabin doors are internal unlike the other S Class ships which are external
-
Thanks for all the information - I think we may look at the SV cabins
-
We usually opt for the Solstice class of ship but have seen a few nice itineraries on the new class of ships. I really don't fancy the Infinite style balconies - Do the new ships have any of the normal style balconies anywhere? It's difficult to see from the deck plans

The connecting doors on Reflection are internal.
Thanks for the quick reply - I was looking at the cabin 1222 on Deck 10 at the very aft (sunset) but may now look at other options as I am not keep on interconnecting doors
-
Are the communicating Cabin doors on the Reflection internal or external? I have sailed on several Solstice ships where the interconnecting doors are external but have a feeling the Reflection is different.
Thanks

I haven't had the Power up email (UK) yet. Now wondering if I will get one - is there something I should have done in order to get one?
-
Thanks for the diagram -Looks like the deck plan I was looking at was wrong. The picture I was looking at seemed to only show just 1 wider balcony so that would mean it is either 9309 or 9384?
This will be the 1st time we have had a cabin at the very back of the ship so want to chose the best cabin/balcony especially as all the end cabins are available at the moment.

Silhouette C1 Cabins at rear of the ship - 9302 & 1206 - are these the cabins that have slightly larger balconies?

All Concierge and AQ cabins on M class are about 20 sq ft larger than other balcony cabins. There are CC on deck 8 where you have cabins above and below. We personally won't book the smaller regular balcony cabins due to the size but that's a personal decision.
There are no SV cabins on M class, there are C1 cabins aft which have VERY large balcony with partial covering and partial sun. The cabin itself is the same as other CC or AQ cabins but the balcony and wake view are some of the best in the fleet.
The C1 cabins that are available are 9201 & 8185 & 8170 - there are 2 FV's next to these cabins port & starboard I was just wondering if there might be extra noise in these FV cabins if there were children but I guess it is a gamble

I believe that the FV corner cabins are being changed to Suite class after Dry Dock.
Millennium has already had her Dry Dock, but I believe that both Infinity and Constellation’s are now on hold, due the ship yard in Cadiz being shut.
Due to the financial status of Celebrity, who knows when they with proceed with Dry Docks.
The attached photos were taken in FV cabin 9156, Infinity in October 2013.
The FV cabins look great but on the two cruises itineraries we are looking at 1st June & 14th June both to Turkey & Greece they have already been snapped up. Can theFV be booked by non family passengers - there are just the 2 of us? Are the other cabins at the back larger than normal, we had booked a SV on the Silhouette but that was cancelled due to the virus?

The often mentioned (on these boards) "sweet 16" on all M-class ships. Best veranda value on all X ships. Lowest category veranda with double deep balconies from ship structure "bump out". Lots on these boards about them so search it. Book 6030 if you can. Great cabins and great value!
Especially recommended for Med. You will be in port most days and off ship. but you still have a large veranda to enjoy.

-
Normally I opt for Solstice class but this time I am looking a 2 itineraries on the Constellation & Infinity to the Med in June/July next year - I sailed on M class ships many moons ago so not sure on what cabins are good etc. We are looking at Decks 7 / 8 /9
I have a few questions re the M Class of ship
Q1 - are the concierge cabins/balconies slightly larger than normal veranda cabins? - I know there is no difference on s class
Q2 - are the veranda's on the slant slightly bigger on M class- similar to the S class
Q2 - SV cabins are they worth the extra money? I can see that some are next to FV cabins are they likely to be noisier re families?
Most of the cabins available on both itineraries are either fwd or aft - are there cabins that have overhangs etc.
Any advice would be appreciated

Is this NCL email specific for US ports or worldwide?

I'm not aware of any scales onboard - we usually bring our small hand held scales

Disembarking at Civitaveccia
in Celebrity Cruises

The only slight hitch with using a Celebrity transfer is that you will have to wait until the coach is full. Our flight leaves at 1130 so we have opted for a private car (0700hrs) to take us to the airport & we will self disembark. It costs 119 Euros for the 2 of us which is probably cheaper than the Celebrity transfer and far more convenient
