Our favorite is the Breeze! I love the decor and the layout of the decks. The ability to walk completely around the ship on deck 5 is wonderful. We like the layout of the Lido.
A close second for us would be the Liberty.

We always pay for Early Bird check in and it’s absolutely worth it. Only $15 per person and no worrying about 24 hours in advance. It doesn’t cost per connection.

We leave on the Freedom on Saturday. 1st time sailing on the Freedom. We have sailed all three Dream class ships and almost all of the Conquest class ships and we have enjoyed each one.
Any day on a cruise ship is better than a day at work!

I was hoping to book a spa treatment since I got a 20% coupon but no dice....cannot access the website.

On embarkation day go up and visit Camp Ocean. They are open for certain times to allow your child to “tour” the area and so you can finalize any last minute paperwork. It might get them excited to see all the cool toys. On the first night of some cruises Camp Ocean has a family party and I encourage you to attend. When our granddaughter was younger this always helped her to meet other kids her age on the ship.
We always start the cruise by getting the schedule for the week and then our granddaughter goes through and chooses which activities she wants to attend.

We have been sailing Carnival for 13 years and have never seen an offer where children sail free.

We leave next Saturday on the Freedom and I am really hoping they have the fleece blankets. Looking forward to bringing home three of them.

If I remember correctly it is 7 times around for a mile on the Dream class ships but I might be off a bit. We love to get up a bit early and watch the sunrise as we walk.

On one of our very first cruises every night in the MDR a young man (he was 10 yrs old) sat by himself and had dinner. He was extremely well behaved and well spoken. By the end of the cruise he shared with us that his parents didn’t want to eat in the MDR but he did so he came alone. The staff were so kind to him and he was a joy to talk with.

We have used the Night Owls program many times and we have always felt like it was worth it. It starts at 10pm and the end time varies a bit by age or specific night. On some nights they have themes for the Night Owl program which is always fun.

We have used Resort For a Day numerous times and have always had a good experience. We have used them in Cozumel, Jamaica and Roatan plus a few more islands.

We have sailed with several really good CDs. The first was Butch Bagovich. He really set the bar high for all future CDs. We have also had the pleasure to sail with Mike Pack, Matt Mitchum, Karl with a K, Corey "family guy" Rogers, and Dr E. Our favorite currently sailing CD is Mike Pack!

We have sailed with our 9 yr old granddaughter on 17 cruises and Camp Ocean has never been too full to take children. There have definitely been times when it's much more crowded (Spring Break and Thanksgiving) but she has never been turned away

I would definitely let them know not to give him cows milk to drink. The ship usually has soy milk available if he's able to drink that. If he stays for the night owl program they do give them snacks.

Yes your cabin will be ready at 1:30pm. They don't make any sort of announcement. You just access it after 1:30pm.

My experience is that they are willing to allow siblings to stay together but only IF the number of children on board allows for this to happen. The numbers of children in each age group will be a deciding factor. I would suggest making the request after you board but I would prepare your children just in case they cannot accommodate your request

We drop off our carry on in the cabin and then we head to the lido deck for a drink and the hot tub. We love sitting in the hot tub watching everyone board and watch the expressions of the 1st time cruisers.

We have sailed both the Dream and the Breeze and we favor the Breeze. We absolutely love the decor of the Breeze and all of the amenities. We are sailing on the Breeze in two weeks.

My granddaughter turned Platinum when she was 6 years old. With more and more families cruising Platinum cruisers will get younger and younger. I don't think attendance at the Diamond/Platinum party is a good indicator of how many are on board.

Have the August movies been released yet?

We have sailed on the Liberty numerous times and we love the ship. Like others have said vacation is what you make of it. Go with a positive attitude and you will have a great time.

We sailed the Splendor in February and had a good time. The decor is a bit over the top for my taste but certainly didn't affect my cruise. We thought the placement of the 2 hot tubs on each side of deck 10 were interesting since they are inside.
We had the most amazing ocean view cabin. All the way front deck 9 right above the bridge. Our window looked out the front of the ship. Most amazing view we have ever had.

The Breeze is our favorite ship. We will be sailing this same itinerary next month. Glad that you had a good time

We have been Platinum for several years now and there have been some gifts we have really enjoyed and others we didn't really care for but we always remember that they are a gift and Carnival doesn't have to give us anything.
If you don't like the gift Carnival gives either leave it in your cabin, return it to Guest Services, or give it away but I see no reason to be rude about receiving a gift.

We were just on the Freedom last month and they didn’t show the film with all the ships. There was also no dancing and very little music. They introduced the staff, the Captain talked a bit, they recognized Diamond cruisers, and gave away a few awards. The drinks and snacks were plentiful. One of the least attended parties we have seen in awhile.
