My granddaughter is 7 and has sailed with us many times. On several cruises the spa offered a manicure special for the little girls that cost around $25 dollars. She loved them. They pampered them and made them feel very special.

We were on the Conquest last month and we received the journal and pen set. We took one of them to guest services and we were able to exchange for the game board but they also had tervis tumblers available.
The journal and pen are very nice. We just didn't need three sets of them.

We cruise with my granddaughter and as for our experience the bands are not optional. They are required as they identify which muster station your child should be taken in case of emergency. In fact a few times her band has slipped off and a crew member has noticed and required that another one be put on. Yes they are ugly but I want to be sure she is safe in an emergency.

We have done numerous B2Bs and they are definitely addicting. The first time we did a single cruise after three different B2Bs our granddaughter asked why were we getting off the ship with everyone else. She was not thrilled with the idea of a single cruise.
Did you book the same cabin for both? Turn around day is amazing! So relaxing and a great opportunity to take some photos of a nearly empty ship.

I try to go at least once on every cruise. I enjoy meeting new people and trying a few of the tasty desserts. It's the only time I drink tea on the cruise.

I bet if they make any exception it will be for those traveling with a young child who is not Platinum. We are fortunate that our 7 yr old granddaughter is Platinum so her attending with us will be no problem but we certainly would not attend without her!

Congrats on reaching Diamond. We love being Platinum and hope to someday become Diamond. Our granddaughter cruises with us and she reached Platinum when she was 6 yrs old so her chances of being Diamond are pretty good!
Thank you for taking the time to share your Breeze cruise with us. We did a B2B on her when she first arrived in Florida and we fell in love with her.

We use resortforaday and have had wonderful luck finding AIs on various ports. We are using them for our upcoming cruise to Cozumel and Roatan.

You are going to love Tex. He was our driver and was amazing. He took all over the island. I wanted to see the "real" Roatan so he took us to a grocery store, a school, several beaches, etc. We had a blast!

We leave on the Magic this Sunday and we are looking forward to seeing a few of these movies under the stars!

3 days.......Woo Hoo! Sailing on the Magic this Sunday
-
We sailed the Magic mid March of this year and we were delayed getting off the ship due to fog. (Of course add to that the oil spill and we didn't get off the ship until after 9 pm.

The morning stretch and the abs class are really good. I try to get there every morning. They have sign up sheets in the gym for the spin, yoga, Pilates, etc classes. I have never attended any of them so I cannot speak about price or quality. I tend to use the running track, treadmill, or elliptical.

Thanks for all the various ideas and info. I posted a message on his Facebook page and guess we will see what happens. It certainly won't be the end of the world and our cruise will not be ruined if he doesn't respond.

Does anyone have the email address to ask John Heald a question?

We were on the ship waiting to get off. At first we were all unaware of the oil spill. We thought we were delayed due to fog which was at first the problem but then we were informed of the spill. As the day wore on more and more boats appeared around us just waiting like we were. At first everything was closed on the ship but when it became obvious we weren't going anywhere they opened things up so we had things to do.
Getting off the ship that evening was a nightmare. We had a very difficult time making it to the Platinum waiting area and finally had to get a Carnival officer to assist us in moving people in the crowd. It was the most chaos we have experienced when getting off a ship.

We sail on the Magic in two weeks and we are hoping for either the toiletry bag or the Tervis tumbler. We received the ceramic mugs in July and are not a fan of them. No dishwasher or microwave for the mugs.
We sail with our 7 yr old granddaughter who is Platinum and we really wish they had an appropriate gift for her. we know it's a gift but none of them are really useful or enjoyable to her.

We leave on the Magic in two weeks. This will be our third time sailing on her this year. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. We were on the ship when the oil spilled happened in March and it definitely was an adventure.

When we sailed last December Santa Claus made a special appearance in the lobby. He rode down in the glass elevator. We sang Christmas Carols while waiting for him.

The laundry room is closed and locked during debarkation and embarkation. On our first B2B I tried to do laundry while everyone was getting off the ship and found this out.

We are looking forward to this on our Magic cruise at the end of this month. We are anxious to see the changes to Camp Carnival as well. I had a Cat in the Hat dress made for our granddaughter especially for the breakfast. I am hoping to find Thing 1 and Thing 2 shirts for my husband and I to wear with her.

If this is your first time using CC the orientation will be very helpful plus it gives your child a chance to see some of the kids. The Camp Carnival welcome aboard party is a great way for your child to meet other children but still hang out with you.

My granddaughter has done the spa ice cream special a few times and she is only 7 yrs old. It is a manicure/pedicure and then they get ice cream. (It is the soft serve from downstairs) she loved it. They are assigned one person to pamper them!

We travel with our 7 yr old granddaughter who has been cruising since she was 3. Besides the occasional Camp Carnival she loves to hang out by the pool, loves the hot tubs, ropes course, putt putt golf, the family friendly comedy club, listening to the various live music around the ship, hasbro game show, and people watching. We always sit and people watch before we head into the MDR for dinner each evening. She visits the arcade about once or twice but that's only because she gets $5 free.
Cruising with a 17 month old!

I thought Camp Carnival would watch the younger children after 10pm for a fee?
