We usually have early seating and there have been times we are done by 7:15 and other times we finish after 7:45. Some things are out of your control but there a few things that can help. Arrive to the dining room on time, be prepared to order quickly, and you can always skip dessert if your in a hurry to see a show.

We cruise with three Platinum cruisers in the same cabin and we all three receive the gifts but we have only ever received 1 plate of strawberries. The free drink coupons and pins are usually in the cabin when we arrive but when we receive the Party invite varies.
We love the free laundry as it allows us to pack less. Enjoy your Platinum status!

Thanks for the review! The Breeze is our favorite ship and we sail again next month. We love the decor on this ship more than any other. We sailed the Splendor in February and that decor is hideous.
-
We have sailed on both of them numerous times but we prefer the Breeze. We are booked on the Breeze next month.

Hubby and I took our first cruise in 2005 to celebrate his retirement from the Army. We have cruise #19 booked for August on the Breeze. Our granddaughter is 9 yrs old and our upcoming August cruise is #17 for her. She became Platinum when she was 6 years old. To say we are addicted is an understatement! We LOVE everything about cruising.

We have been cruising with our granddaughter since she was 4 yrs old. She is now 9 and will be sailing on her 17th cruise in August. She always eats in the Main Dining Room with us and is not permitted to wander the ship without us. Yes we have seen a few children misbehaving while on a cruise ship but we have seen FAR more adults acting like a fool while cruising.

My granddaughter was around 5 at the time and she saw a woman knitting near the coffee shop. She asked what the woman was doing so I explained that she was making a scarf. My granddaughter was fascinated with her knitting and watched for a few minutes. The woman was Italian and spoke limited English but was kind and showed my granddaughter what she was doing. I thanked her for taking the time to show my granddaughter her knitting. The next day we saw her again by the coffee shop and she held out the beautiful scarf she had been making the day before and gave it to my granddaughter. She said that my granddaughter had been so sweet to show interest in her knitting that she wanted her to have the scarf. My granddaughter is almost 10 now and still has that scarf.

The Breeze is our favorite ship. We will sail on her again in August for this same itinerary. We love so these three ports and always find something fun to do in each one.

Our granddaughter has been cruising with us since she was 4 years old. She is now 9 and cruise #17 for her will be in August. At the beginning of every cruise we stop and get the week schedule for Camp Ocean and she looks it over and circles what she wants to participate in. Some cruises she has practically lived in the kids programs and other times she has barely wanted to attend. We have never had a bad experience. The staff are very professional and friendly. They have a wide variety of activities to include arts and crafts, video games, face painting, scavenger hunts, movies, games, dancing, etc.
Be sure to attend the Camp Ocean orientation that is held on embarkation afternoon. Lots of good information is shared and it gives the kids a chance to meet some other kids. You can also complete the registration online which speeds things up.

I always enjoy a chocolate martini

The Breeze is our favorite Carnival ship. We sail again on August 6th. Thanks for the pictures.

The Breeze is our favorite ship. We sail on her again in August and we can't wait.

We sailed on her in February and it was okay. The decor was over the top for me but it certainly didn't affect my cruise. We didn't care for the lido deck layout and we thought the two hot tubs on deck 10 were strangely positioned.
We did have an amazing room. We were able to book one of the forward ocean view cabins right above the bridge which was breathtaking.

Thank you for the review of the Splendor. We are booked in cabin 9198 in two weeks and I loved seeing your photos of the rooms. We are excited to have such a spectacular view.

We sail on the Breeze next week and I am hoping for the night light. What happened with the USB charger with case I thought I read about?
-
We chose not to purchase it on our upcoming Cruise on the Breeze mostly because I am afraid we will feel pressured to drink enough to get our money's worth. We like the specialty coffee and other perks but those just won't add up to the cost.

How do you know how many kids are on your cruise? I would love to know how many are on my cruise in Jan. I have 3 kids and I am worried that there won't be any kids for them to hang out with.
We asked John Heald on his Facebook page and he provided us the info. We knew it would be a lot due to it being Thanksgiving.
-
We have been cruising with our granddaughter since she was 4 yrs old (she is now 9) and we have never heard of Camp Ocean being full. We are sailing over Thanksgiving this year and there are 795 kids on our cruise so this could be interesting.

I was sitting next to a 10 year old boy during a trivia game and he was already Platinum. I asked when he turned Platinum and he said when he was eight years old. He also told me he lived in Cocoa Beach. Way to go Carnival, make them loyal while there in diapers!
My granddaughter has been Platinum since she was 6 years old. She gets all the same perks as we do to include free laundry and the Carnival logo gift. She will be 9 on our upcoming November cruise and this will be cruise #15 for her.
-
My husband and I turned Platinum two cruises before our granddaughter (who was 5 at the time) and she boarded with us and attended the Platinum/Diamond party along with us.
-
Please explain that to me. Maybe I am mathematically challenged.
I took it to mean that on the Cheers package you're only paying 15% of the $49 per day price but if you pay individually and you drink more than the $49 cost the 15% ends up being more as well.

My granddaughter has been Platinum since she was 6 years old and she has yet to get a gift that she really wants. We always laugh when she sees what the Platinum gift is. She always shakes her head and usually says "when are they going to get a gift that a kid likes?"
We don't cruise for the perks. We cruise because we love it and we feel truly blessed to be able to cruise together.

The fruity drinks and cocktails start at approximately $9 and go up from there. You can request top shelf liquor which will increase the price. In addition to alcohol all other beverages are included which is what sold it for us. Specialty coffee (with or without alcohol), milkshakes, soda, energy drinks, and bottled water are all now included. There is a $50 per drink limit but since Carnival doesn't sell a $50 drink that doesn't really come into play.

I remember reading your original post and then again when you came back to announce she had been born. How exciting that she is now 4 and going on her first cruise. Our little one went on her first cruise at 4 and now she is 9 yrs old and is sailing on #17 next month on the Breeze.
Enjoy your family cruise and please come back and tell us how much fun she had.
