They do have bottled water and soda in the lounge, it may only be available during the happy hour but you can take some to go. They also have a fancy coffee machine as well. They normally have juice, tea and water allday as wlll.Your son can go in with you.

well the price dropped to $2100 a person. Wowsa. I didn't get that price of course, but $2100 a person for 7 night cruise in a crown loft suite is a great deal. My brother, who has never been in a suite, got one today. He never splurges LOL. He did this time.
Wow. great price.

If you booked through a TA , maybe that is a question for them to ask Royal.

Some of the new restrictions go into effect Jan. 1 2025 while others are later.
If I'm not mistaken the 2025 restrictions would require a port of call have shore power available in order for a conventional ship to be acceptable, or at least one iteration would have that requirement and it didn't sound like shore power was going to be available.
There may be enough uncertainty in the evolving restrictions for cruise lines to be leary and simply avoid Norway beyond 2024.
Man,I missed this. This is a bucket list for me. May have to go next May or June.

Yes you order from normal room service for all meals. I normally order ahead e.g. call at 5pm for a 7pm delivery. Otherwise, it can take up to an hour to be delivered.

If you see their reservation under your app, then you can check them in for the time. If you don't you can link your reservation to yours and be able to do it. You need their information.

Your TA does not participate in the Royal Up program.

Do they narrate on the hop on hop off busses as you pass landmarks?

LOVING this review, we're doing this sailing on 6/25. Did you get a feel at the shuttle bus stop that busses leave as soon as they are full? We also have 9:00 tickets and I'd love to get to the ship as early as possible, wondering if the earlier you get to the People Mover area, the earlier bus you'll get on and can depart?
Keep the updates coming, it's fantastic!
how did you get 900 am tickets? I just put them on my reservation but dont see the capability of picking a time. We dont sail untilSeptember

Thank you for your review! We are heading out with group of 12 and this is so informative!
Was there a separate Suite checkin line?

A few closing thoughts.
We were apprehensive about cruising out of Texas but everything fell into place.
A few small bumps in the road but not to painful.
Food was good.
Sun was hot.
No sun was very hot.
Entertainment up to par except for modified version of Aqua theatre.
Comedians were the funniest we saw in years.
Tons of bartendersPool chair hogs present but enough spots to enjoy the sun.
Slots hot and cold.
Did not observe the ship being over run by kids.
Never saw one duck!!!More to come.
Tomorrow our last sea day.
And you did not have to ask people you met where they were from.
Their boots gave them away.
Good night.
I agree about sailing fromGalveston. I would not hesitate to sail from there again. The only downfall is the same ports for the 7 days.

Since I don’t know what a suite party is, I guess not. 🤣To be fair, I might not invite us either.
Lol. It is a little cocktail party. It used to be held on the helipad during a sailaway and then went to a little party in the suite lounge where officers do a little meet and greet,

I have read on other forums that the Suite party is being implemented fleetwide. Have you seen an invite?

Interesting story about the dining situation. I am taking my sister on the Allure and we will be in a suite and have decided that we were not eating all dinners in CK. Have early dining booked. Don't want MTD as we like to eat early.
When the concierge emails you, make sure you tell them that you will be eating in the MDR some nights and not to change your dining time.

We just got off the Allure in an Aquatheater Suite. It was a fabulous trip. The crew was outstanding. They just brought back Blue Planet as well.

We had a bartender in allure that made his specialty drink called the tiramisu martini. The best drink I have ever had on a ship.

The e mail is totally legitimate. Royal does use links like these. I have personally had to fill them out in the past.
Man I wonder if they will select me. Great offer!😀

Eyewitness news Bahamas reporting a male was floating face down and appears to be a Bahamian citizen. Cannot rule out foul play.

For the ladies: this is the only RCI ship where I have seen second hand Louis Vuitton bags and purses for sale. Otherwise it’s the usual selection of Guess etc
They also have them on Allure.

I prefer the side facing ones. The rear facing ones are louder and not as private.

In the past they have had them available to check out.

Looks like Odyessy of the seas was built in 2020 which could fit the time frame of the certifications. Just a wild guess.
